Abstract

The maggot cultivation industry managed by Repro MSMEs experiences various challenges such as, there is no integration between supply chain actors and Repro MSMEs are directly involved as producers and retailers because they market directly without going through intermediaries. The research respondent is an expert in the supply chain field totaling 5 people, data collection is carried out by a brainstorming process then Focus group discussion (FGD) and through a closed questionnaire. This research aims to create a strategy to improve the supply chain that is comprehensive and data-based in order to be more optimal. The ISM method is a strategic decision-making step to identify the interrelationships between the most influential variables. ISM data processing uses the help of ISM Professional 2.0 software. This research has successfully identified and modeled supply chain strategies from ten variables. Based on ISM modeling, the most significantly influential variable is variable A1, and at the top level is variable A9, this means that variable A9 becomes an entity with a low level of urgency. This research is expected to facilitate MSME owners to make decisions in determining priorities as a reference for implementing strategies that must be used in optimizing the supply chain system. Abstract

The Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Moedal of Semarang City faces challenges in optimizing the production of gallon-sized Packaged Drinking Water (AMDK) due to an imbalance between demand and production. This imbalance often results in insufficient production compared to demand, causing a buildup of fleet vehicles and delays in product delivery. This study aims to address this problem by using the Monte Carlo method, a simulation technique that utilizes random numbers and statistics to predict outcomes and solve complex problems. In this study, historical data on demand and production of gallon water were collected and analyzed to build a probability distribution model. Monte Carlo simulation was then applied to simulate various demand and production scenarios. The simulation results were used to identify the most likely scenarios and develop a production optimization plan. The results of the study show that by implementing the Monte Carlo method, PDAM Tirta Moedal can improve the efficiency of production planning and capacity management, so that it is able to meet market demand more efficiently and on time. The implementation of this method can also help reduce delays in product delivery, increase customer satisfaction, and improve overall business performance.

Abstract

Warehouses play a crucial role in the supply chain of the manufacturing industry as centers for storage, distribution, and inventory management. PT. XYZ faces inefficiencies in its randomized storage system, leading to increased item retrieval time, extended worker travel distances, and reduced operational efficiency. This study aims to analyze and redesign the warehouse layout using the Class Based Storage method and ABC Classification to improve storage and retrieval efficiency. Items were classified using the ABC method, where category A accounted for 72.77% of total movements, category B 16.69%, and category C 10.54%. Based on the implementation of the Class-Based Storage method and ABC Classification, the proposed warehouse layout positions category A items near the I/O point, followed by categories B and C, to shorten retrieval distances, reduce item search time, and enhance overall warehouse operational efficiency.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi anggota Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) Desa Babadan melalui pelatihan affiliate marketing. Anggota PKK menghadapi tantangan berupa minimnya akses informasi, keterampilan teknologi, dan fasilitas pendukung. Kegiatan PkM menggunakan metode pendekatan partisipatif dengan empat tahapan, yaitu observasi awal, persiapan kegiatan, implementasi kegiatan, dan evaluasi hasil. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan selama empat minggu melalui ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Peserta kegiatan PkM berjumlah 20 anggota aktif PKK. Hasil kegiatan PkM menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam menggunakan teknologi digital untuk mempromosikan produk secara online. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berhasil memperkuat literasi digital peserta, sehingga mereka lebih percaya diri menghadapi peluang ekonomi berbasis teknologi. Program ini dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan bagi komunitas lain.

Abstract

Antrian merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang kerap ditemui dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan menjadi contoh nyata dari ketidakseimbangan antara permintaan dan kapasitas pelayanan. Antrian terjadi ketika jumlah permintaan layanan melebihi kemampuan sistem dalam memberikan layanan secara langsung. Dalam upaya mempertahankan kepuasan pelanggan, pelaku usaha maupun tim pemasaran senantiasa berupaya meningkatkan kualitas layanan yang diberikan. Pelayanan tiket di Stasiun Poncol Semarang sering mengalami antrean panjang akibat penutupan jumlah pelanggan dan waktu layanan yang bervariasi. Hal ini dapat menghambat efektivitas pelayanan di berbagai loket, seperti Customer Service, Pemesanan, Pembatalan, Ubah Jadwal/Refund, dan Cetak Tiket Mandiri (CTM). Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penelitian ini menerapkan teori antrian dan menggunakan software Arena untuk menganalisis serta meningkatkan efisiensi sistem antrian. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan model antrian yang lebih optimal untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan kepuasan pelanggan.

Abstract

Kondisi stasiun kerja pada UKM Mina Indo Sejahtera, khususnya untuk proses pembersihan ikan dan unggas dirasa masih belum ideal dan juga sangat terbatas ukurannya, sehingga mengakibatkan produktivitas kurang maksimal karena pekerja harus bergantian untuk menggunakan stasiun kerja tersebut. Selain itu, dikarenakan desain stasiun kerja pada UKM tersebut belum mempertimbangkan aspek ergonomi, mengakibatkan para pekerja pada stasiun kerja tersebut menjadi cepat mengalami kelelahan dan kram pada kaki dikarenakan postur kerja yang kurang tepat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi produk meja kerja multifungsi dan ergonomis untuk mendukung proses produksi pada UMKM Mina Indo Sejahtera agar dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan meminimalkan kelelahan kerja. Meja kerja didesain sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengelola UKM Mina Indo Sejahtera yaitu meja dengan dimensi 120 cm x 120 cm dengan tinggi 75 cm. Material yang digunakan untuk pembuatan meja adalah food grade stainless stell. Meja kerja dilengkapi dengan kran serta saluran pembuangan air dan sampah.

Abstract

UMKM Rekayasa Produk Organik (REPRO) Maggot located in Dusun Nongko Lanang, Wonolopo, Mijen District, Semarang City is a start-up business that takes advantage of opportunities in maggot cultivation that has been established for approximately one year. In the maggot cultivation process, there is a hatching process for Black Soldier Fly (BSF) eggs which requires a temperature of 28oC-36oC and a humidity of 60%-80%. If the temperature and humidity are unstable, it can affect the length of the egg hatching process. The BSF fly egg hatching process takes 3 days. However, in UMKM REPRO Maggot, the BSF egg hatching process takes 7-8 days. Therefore, a design for a Black Soldier Fly (BSF) egg incubator is needed which is equipped with temperature and humidity control to increase the level of effectiveness and efficiency. This design uses a rational method approach that contains several stages including: 1) clarifying objectives, (2) establishing function, (3) setting requirements, (4) determining characteristics, (5) generating alternatives, (6) evaluating alternatives, and (7) product improvements. The results of the trials that have been carried out obtained an increase in output efficiency of 86% and time effectiveness of 100% in the first trial, while in the second trial, 90% efficiency and 33.33% effectiveness were obtained. UMKM Rekayasa Produk Organik (REPRO) Maggot yang terletak di Dusun Nongko Lanang, Wonolopo, Kecamatan Mijen, Kota Semarang merupakan start-up bisnis yang memanfaatkan peluang dalam budidaya maggot yang sudah berdiri kurang lebih satu tahun. Dalam proses budidaya maggot terdapat proses penetasan telur lalat Black Soldier Fly (BSF) yang memerlukan suhu 28oC-36oC dan kelembaban sebesar 60%-80%. Apabila suhu dan kelembaban tidak stabil maka dapat mempengaruhi lama waktu proses penetasan telur. Proses penetasan telur lalat BSF membutuhkan waktu selama 3 hari. Namun, di UMKM REPRO Maggot proses penetasan telur BSF memerlukan waktu 7-8 hari. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu rancangan alat penetas telur lalat Black Soldier Fly (BSF) yang dilengkapi controlling pada suhu dan kelembaban untuk meningkatkan tingkat efektivitas dan efisiensi. Perancangan ini menggunakan pendekatan metode rasional yang berisi beberapa tahap diantaranya: 1) clarifying objectives, (2) establish function, (3) setting requirement, (4) determining characteristic, (5) generating alternatives, (6) evaluating alternatives, dan (7) product improvements. Hasil uji coba yang telah dilakukan didapatkan peningkatan efisiesnsi output sebesar 86% dan efektivitas waktu 100% pada uji coba pertama, sedangkan pada uji coba kedua didapatkan efisiensi 90% dan efektivitas 33,33%.

Abstract

National Waste Management Information System shows that the amount of waste handled in Semarang City over the last three years has decreased with an average decline index of 1.06% per year. This is reinforced by the results of interviews with the Semarang City Environmental Service, that the handling of organic waste is still very limited because so far the handling has been more focused on an-organic waste. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate supply chain performance to determine the constraints in organic waste management from upstream to downstream. Based on the research results using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) method through a focus group discussion process involving eight experts in the field of waste management, it is known that the supply chain performance for handling organic waste in Semarang City has 11 elements of constraints, which are divided into seven priority levels. The element with the highest priority is related to the availability of organic waste supplies, while the element with the lowest priority is technological innovation and the application of appropriate technology. Improving the performance of organic waste management supply chains should focus on elements according to priority.

Abstract

UMKM REPRO merupakan salah satu UMKM di Kota Semarang, yang bergerak di bidang olahan limbah organik dan budidaya maggot. Saat ini produk yang dihasilkan oleh UMKM REPRO hanya berupa maggot fresh dan maggot kering yang biasa diperjualbelikan dengan para peternak untuk pakan ikan maupun unggas. Maggot fresh memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang cukup baik bagi ternak, namun memiliki keterbatasan yaitu life cycle product yang sangat pendek yaitu hanya berkisar 3 – 5 hari sebelum akhirnya berkembang biak menjadi pupa. Hal ini berdampak pada keterbatasan jangkauan area pemasaran UMKM REPRO, yaitu hanya di area Semarang Raya. Melalui Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini, tim telah berhasil melakukan Pendampingan pada UMKM REPRO dan menghasilkan diversifikasi produk turunan maggot berupa pelet magot. Produk pelet magot tersebut memiliki siklus hidup produk lebih panjang dibanding magot fresh serta memiliki kualitas yang lebih baik. Hal ini akan berdampak pada meningkatnya daya saing UMKM REPRO dikarenakan produk tersebut berpotensi mendukung tercapainya jangkauan area pemasaran yang lebih luas dan peningkatan omset penjualan UMKM REPRO kedepannya.

Abstract

Current developments in infrastructure development have led to tight competition in the precast concrete industry. The use of precast concrete materials supports the need for infrastructure development, especially roads and city parks, especially kanstin products. The ability of precast concrete molds depends on several factors such as design, material and manufacturing process. The aim of this research is to find out the most optimal kanstin mold design in terms of structure and service life. The Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method is used to model and analyze the performance of kanstin mold designs. Based on 3D simulations of eight geometries with WF and UNP steel frames with ASTM A36 and AISI 1081 material types, it is still within safe limits for yield strength values. The largest von mises value is for WF AISI B and the smallest for UNP AISI A. It can be concluded that the highest life cycle is for the ASTM A36 material type UNP frame thickness A with a value of 7.91 years, while the von misess stress value is 113.4 Mpa which is still below the yield strength of ASTM A36 .
