Abstract

This study aims to make learning more fun and make it easier to memorize the Javanese script nglegeno in Javanese subjects in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah through card games Javanese characters and their sounds. For data retrieval obtained through observation, interviews, tests, and documents. The technique used to analyze data there are three components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion making. The results of this study are the use of Javanese letters cards and edugame-based Javanese sound cards are expected that active MI / SD educator participants in reading Javanese script Nglegena will increase and be able to read them well.

Abstract

Eel (Anguilla bicolor) is an Indonesian freshwater commodity that has high economic value but has slow growth. One method to accelerate eel growth is through feeding with the enrichment of essential fatty acids. The aim of this research is to know the increase of growth rate of eel fish fed with the enrichment of essential fatty acids with fish oil and corn oil. The study used 3 treatments and 3 replications ie A (0% corn oil + 0% fish oil), B (1.5% corn oil + 1.5% fish oil), and C (3% corn oil + 3% fish oil). Parameters observed included specific growth rate, total feed consumption, feed efficiency, fat retention, and survival rate. The supporting parameter is water quality. The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance and continued by fisher test with 95% confidence interval. The results showed that there was a significant effect (P <0.05) on the growth rate of eel fish fed with the enrichment of essential fatty acids with fish oil and corn oil. Treatment C (3% corn oil + 3% fish oil) is the optimum dose because it has the best growth performance and best feed efficiency that is specific growth rate (4.67%), total feed consumption (262,9 g), feed efficiency (61% ), fat retention (2.805%), and survival rate (80%).

Abstract

Kontrol hormonal pada reproduksi udang belum mengalami perkembangan yang signifikan. Pada umumnyauntuk mempercepat kematangan gonad induk udang digunakan teknik ablasi. Mekanisme dan peranan hormonpada proses reproduksi udang belum banyak diketahui. Keberadaan hormon steroid pada krustase telah dikemukaan oleh beberapa peneliti, tetapi peranannya belum banyak diketahui. Pada penelitian ini dikajipengaruh penyuntikan hormon estradiol-17β pada perkembangan gonad induk udang putih (Litopenaeus vannamei). Penelitian Ini menggunakan dosis 0,10¼g/g bobot tubuh dengan perlakuan penyuntikan tunggal (hari ke-0 dan ganda (hari ke-0 dan ke-6). Sebagai pembanding dilakukan uji tanpa perlakuan (kontrol). Untuk melihat respon perkembangan gonad, pemeliharaan induk dilakukan selama 12 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa estradiol-17β berpengaruh positif pada perkembangan gonad. Gonado somatic index (CSI) dan rata-rata diameter oosit pada perlakuan relative lebih tinggi dibandingkan kontrol. Penyuntikan ganda memberikan pengaruh paling besar dengan peningkatan GSI sebesar 0,453 dan rata-rata diameteroosit 23,97 μm. Oosit pada gonad hanya mampu berkembang hingga tahap previtelogenesis. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa estradiol-17β berperang dalam vitelogenesis endogenous. Keberadaan hormon penghambat perkembangan yang dihasilkan tangkai mata diduga menyebabkan oosit tidak dapat mencapai matang. Analisis SDS-PA GE menunjukkan bahwa protein kuning telurpada gonad terdapat 5 sub unit dengan perkiraan bobot 95, 98, 109 kDa dan dua unit >118 kDa. Abstract

The research was aimed to know the growth and survival rate of mad barb fish which feed by maggot and pellet combination also the best proportion feed of maggot combination. The method in this research used completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments i.e A (pellet 100%), B (pellet 75% and maggot 25%), C (pellet 50% and maggot 50%), D (pellet 25% and maggot 75%), E (maggot 100%).The result showed feed with maggot and pellet effected on growth and survival rate mad barb fish. Abstract

Artemia sp. is a common natural feed for shrimps at the post-larvae stage and is characterized by poor lipid content. Therefore, Artemia is commonly enriched with specific nutrition, including biofloc. This contains some useful nutrients in the form of protein and polyhydroxy butyrate (PHB). The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of Artemia enriched with biofloc on the growth performance of black tiger shrimp, P. Monodon, and whiteleg shrimp P. vannamei. This research used acompletely randomized design (CRD), encompassing three treatments of feed and four replications. The tested treatments include: (a) Artemia sp. without enriched (b) Artemia enriched with biofloc, and (c) biofloc without Artemia, and the treatments were fed on black tiger as well as whiteleg shrimp post-larvae for 15 days. The results showed the significant effect of using  Artemia sp. enriched with biofloc on the growth of P. monodon and P. vannamei, but not on the survival rate. However, both parameters were significantly influenced for post-larvae shrimp at a dose of 30 mL biofloc. This served as a nutritional source by providing the best growth of 14.57 mg and 15 mg at a daily growth and survival rate of 0.86 mg day-1: 98% and 1.4 mg day-1: 99% for P. vannamei and P. monodon, respectively.

Abstract

Fighting fish (Betta sp.) is endemic fresh water fish of Southeast Asia that has become one of Indonesias export commodities. Male fighting fish has brighter colour then the female. Mono-sexual male fighting fish population can be obtained through sex reversal method (female to male). However, male fighting fish suspected sex reversal results will likely have a low color intensity. This study aims to determine the effect of sex reversal using 17α-methyltestosterone hormone toward colour intensity of male fighting fish with XX genotype as the results of sex reversal and the original male fighting fish XY genotype. The research design consisted of 2 treatments with 3 replications. The determination of the observations grade toward the colour intensity of fighting fish is done by comparing the original colour of the fish using coloured paper Modified Toka Colour Finder (M-TCF) which were observed by 5 observers for the accuracy of the data. The results showed that there is significant effect of sex reversal using 17α-methyltestosterone hormone toward the colour intensity of the male fighting fish XX to XY males. On the whole, the mean observed colour intensity for P1 (with sex reversal) is 18.33 and P2 (without sex reversal) is 28.33, it shows that the P1 has lower brightness than P2.

Abstract

Kelangsungan hidup dan perkembangan larva udang galah asahan dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal, salah satu faktor eksternal yakni salinitas yang merupakan faktor pembatas bagi kelangsungan hidup dan perkembangan larva udang. Larva udang galah asahan memiliki kemampuan toleransi salinitas dengan kisaran 8-15 ppt. Kemampuan toleransi pada larva udang galah dapatdisempurnakan dengan menentukan pola adaptasi dengan perubahan salinitas yang tepat. Setelah ditentukan salinitas yang tepat maka diharapkan kelangsungan hidup dan perkembangan larva udang galah asahan akan optimum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari dan menganalisis kelangsungan hidup dan perkembangan larva udang galah asahan pada salinitas berbeda (11 ppt, 13 ppt, dan 15 ppt). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemeliharaan larva udang galah asahan pada salinitas berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan perkembangan larva udang galah asahan.

Abstract

Oodev hormone application has been applied to stimulate gonadal maturity so that fish fry could be available outside the spawning season. This research aimed to study the effect of Oodev hormone on the gonadal maturity of asian redtail catfish Hemibagrus nemurus (Valenciennes, 1840). This research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 doses treatments, i.e 0, 0,25, 0,50, 1,00 ml/kg. A total of 8 fish were used as replications for each treatment. The parameters measured were the gonado somatic index (GSI) and egg diameter. The results showed that the effect of Oodev hormone on GSI and egg diameter was significantly different (P<0.05). A higher Oodev hormone dose caused an increase of GSI and egg diameter size. The recommended Oodev dose for application is 1 ml/kg.

Parameters observed included specific growth rate, feed consumption total, feed efiesiensi, fat retention, survival rate. The supporting parameters are water quality. The result of research obtained were tabulated and analyzed by excel 2013 program and SPSS v. 20.0. with 95% confidence interva and continued by Duncan test. The results showed that there was a significant effect (P <0.05) on the growth rate of eel fish fed with the enrichment of essential fatty acids with fish oil. Treatment C (3% fish oil) is the optimum dose because it has the best growth performance and best feed efficiency that is specific growth rate (4,61% ± 0,0075), total feed consumption (246,3 g ± 50,1), feed efiesiensi (42,5% ± 3,74), fat retention (2,97% ± 0,148) and survival rate (86,7% ± 11,5).

Abstract

One of the popular freshwater fish to consume In Bandar Lampung is catfish. Increasing market demand of catfish commodities requires more standardized cultivation management. Many catfish farmers have been not informed that there is technical standards for the good fish hatchery (CPIB) and the good fish aqaculture (CBIB) methods which in the form of certificate. The main problem faced by the Minatani Garuda farmers community in Sukabumi is catfish seeds which have decreased seed quality and the Mandiri Sentosa farmers community in Jati Agung is the slow growth of catfish. The problems caused the low level of survival and production of catfish. The general objective of this activity is (1) to increase certified seed productivity, have good quality, and accelerate fish growth in both of the farmers community, (2) increasing the knowledge and skills of partner groups using hormonal engineering technology, (3) build effective partnerships and cooperation between universities and community of fish farmer. The methods used are survey, training, demonstration plots of hormonal technology, mentoring and evaluation of the program success. Based on research, used the hormonal technology in fish is able to give a solution for the community problems. In addition to getting quality seeds at the partner "Minatani Garuda", it can also accelerate the growth of catfish aquaculture in Mandiri Sentosa community. Thus, the availability of catfish commodity in Lampung will always be fulfilled. Based on the training and mentoring result, this activity succeeded in increasing farmers' knowledge about the hormonal technology in Mandiri Sentosa and Minatani Garuda from 10% to 90%. Aquaculture in Sukabumi and Jati Agung has the potential to appy the hormonal technology. Keywords: hormonal technology, fish farmer community, catfish.
