Abstract

Nila merah (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan di Indonesia yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Berkembangnya proses budidaya nila merah juga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan limbah diperairan.Salah satu cara untukmembantumengatasi limbah perairan dan dapat dimanfaatkan oleh ikan yaitu dengan sistem bioflok.Teknologi bioflok merupakan salah satu alternatif dalam mengatasi masalah kualitas air dalam akuakultur dan dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber pakan tambahan untuk nila merah.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pertumbuhan dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup nila merah pada sistem bioflok dengan rasio C:N (perbandingan karbon dan nitrogen) yang berbeda.Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji yaitu (A) kontrol, (B) rasio C:N 15, (C) rasio C:N 20, (D) rasio C:N 25. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan benih nila merah dengan panjang total 3 cm dan berat rata-rata 2 ± 0,4 gramyang dipelihara dengan akuarium berukuran40x30x35 cm. Parameter penelitian meliputipertumbuhan mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, kelangsungan hidup, Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR), Protein Efficiency Ratio (PER), dan kualitas air.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rasio C:N yang berbeda pada aplikasi bioflok memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup nila merah. Kisaran laju pertumbuhan spesifik  nila merah sebesar 12,17-16,33% dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan nila 53,33-80%. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air untuk suhu pada pagi dan sore berkisar 26-27°C, pH relatif stabil pada 6-7 dan kandungan amonia setiap perlakuan terjadi peningkatan di akhir penelitian. Perlakuan terbaik adalah perlakuan B dengan rasio C:N 15.

Abstract

The aims of this research were to determine the effect of Azolla sp. to water quality and the growth of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) juvenile (total length 5-7 cm) cultured with closed water system. The study used five treatments of density of Azolla sp. (0g/m2, 62.5 g/m2, 125 g/m2, 187.5 g/m2, and 250g/m2). The observations towards water quality and growth parameter were pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, ammonia, absolute weight growth, absolute growth rate, and survival rate. The results showed that the addition of Azolla sp. provided a significantly different affect to pH, absolute growth weight, daily growth rate, and survival. Survival rate and pH showed that density of 0g/m2 of Azolla sp. significantly different densities to other treatments. Absolute growth weight and daily growth rate of African catfish showed that density of 0g/m2of Azolla sp. significantly different to densities of 62.5g/m2, 125 g/m2, 187.5g/m2, except for the density 250g/m2. Based on temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, survival rate and daily growth rate of African catfish and Azolla sp. occured at density of 125g/m2 of Azolla sp.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektifitas pemberian tepung bioflok sebagai agen imunostimulan dan mengetahui perlakuan terbaik pemberian tepung bioflok dalam menstimulasi sistem pertahanan non spesifik dan SR ikan lele sangkuriang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan April 2015 di Laboratorium Perikanan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan (0% tepung bioflok + 100% pakan, 5% tepung bioflok + 95% pakan, 10% tepung bioflok + 90% pakan, dan 15% tepung bioflok + 85% pakan) dengan 3 kali ulangan. Penelitian berlangsung selama 35 hari dan diamati pada awal (H0), tengah (H18) dan akhir (H35) penelitian. Data hematologi (persentase hematokrit, total leukosit, diferensial leukosit, aktivitas fagositosis), SR dan relative percent survival (RPS) dianalisis dengan analisis ragam (Anova). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung bioflok berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan sistem pertahanan non spesifik namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap SR. Perlakuan terbaik imunostimulan tepung bioflok yang mampu menstimulasi sistem pertahanan non spesifik (total leukosit, diferensial leukosit, dan aktivitas fagositosis) ikan lele sangkuriang adalah 15% tepung bioflok + 85% pakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to observe the effect of fermented palm kernel cake as a growth media for Tubifex sp. This research was conducted at the Aquaculture Laboratory, University of Lampung for 50 days. Completely Randomized Design (CDR) with 5 treatments and 3 replicates design is used for this experiment. The treatments are 100% field mud, 25% palm kernel cake :75% field mud, 50% palm kernel cake : 50% field mud, 75% palm kernel cake : 25% field mud, and 100% palm kernel cake. The data were analyzed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) continued with Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The main parameters measured were Tubifex sp population and biomass as well as water quality parameters: pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia. The results showed that fermented palm kernel cake significantly (p<0,05) increase silk worm biomass and population. The best result of this research was found in 50% fermented palm kernel cake and 50% field mud media producing 111.008 ind/m2 and 750,72 gr/m2­­­­ of Tubifex sp. Water quality during Tubifex sp were measured at 0,26-0,91 mg/l ammonia, pH 6,14-7,11, temperature 25-28°C, and dissolved oxygen 2,9-3,9 mg/l.

Abstract

The addition of Bacillus polymyxa bacteria in the feed as immunostimulant is one of the efforts of disease prevention on vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The aimed of this research was to know the effectivity of the use of Bacillus polymyxa bacteria in feed towards the non-specific imunity of vannamei shrimp. This research consisted of 4 treatments namely feed with the density of Bacillus polymyxa bacteria 0 cell/ml as control (A), 104 cell/ml (B), 106 cell/ml (C) and 108 cell/ml (D) and each treatment is repeated 3 times. This research has been done in 15 days. Parameters that observed this research were total haemocyte count (THC), phagocytosis activity, differential haemocyte count (DHC) and water quality. The results showed that the addition Bacillus polymyxa bacteria of 106 cell/ml was able to improve THC value 6,6x107 cell/ml on the day 10. The DHC value was in the normal range which is hyalin cell was 52-89% and granular cell was 11-48%. The quality of water maintenance media during this research was in the normal range there were temperature 27,2-28,1°C, DO 3,70-3,91ppm, pH 3,70-3,91, and salinity 30-35 ppt.

Abstract

In vaname shrimp cultivation, one of the problem that often arise is the high production costs in provision of feed The use of probiotics is a viable alternative to reduce production costs. The probiotic that used in this research was Bacillus coagulans bacteria. This research was aimed to know the effect of the use of Bacillus coagulans bacteria in feed on weight growth, lenght growth, survival rate, feed conversion ratio, and water quality in cultivation on vaname shrimp. Post larvae 10 vaname shrimp as much as 25 pcs were placed in each aquariums with volume 50x40x40 cmfor 30 days. The probiotics with dosage of treatment 30 ml/kg; 50 ml/kg; 70 ml/kg were combined in commercial feed with the protein content 32%. The shrimp feeding method that used in this research was blind feeding with 4 times feeding a day. The result showed that the best treatment was 70 ml/kg feed giving the significant effect on weight growth, length growth, andfeed conversion ratio. The treatments didn't effect on SR however. The water quality such as DO, temperature, salinity, and was TAN still in the optimum value.

Abstract

Brown seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii) is one of the important aquaculture commodities in Indonesia. Tissue culture seaweed seed has higher quality than the natural ones, but tissue culture seaweed seed still imported from a specific area. Media and transportation period effect the seed freshness. The study was conducted to determine the effective of transportation medium and the optimal of transportation period. The study was conducted in the Ketapang’s marine, South Lampung. The study using experimental methods with completely randomized factorial design with two treatments and three replication for each treatment. The first treatment is the difference transport media (banana stem and sponge), and the second treatment is the difference transport period (24, 48, and 72 hours). The parameters observed were transport temperature, the seed freshness, seaweed growth weight, and water quality factor (pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, water clarity, and flow velocity). The results showed that the seaweed was transported by the media banana stem had seed freshness and weight growth higher quality than the sponge media, and the transportation period affected the seed freshness and the seaweed growth weight.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesesuaian perairan untuk budidaya ikan baung sistem karamba di Sungai Way Kiri, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2017 - Januari 2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan cara pengamatan kualitas air yang meliputi parameter fisika (kecepatanarus, suhu, kedalaman, dan kecerahan) serta kimia (DO, pH, TAN, dan BOD). Selanjutnya dilakukan evaluasi kesesuaian perairan dengan menitikberatkan pada nilai kualitas air sesuai dengan ikan yang akan dibudidayakan menggunakan metode analisis matching dan scoring. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengukuran kualitas air di Sungai Way Kiri menunjukkan rerata untuk  kedalaman 19,22 m, DO 6,89 mg/L, kecerahan 25 cm, suhu 28,32 oC, kecepatan arus 0,225 m/dt, pH 6,10, TAN 0,548 mg/L dan BOD 5,57 mg/L. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa perairan Sungai Way Kiri sangat sesuai untuk dilakukan budidaya ikan baung (Mystus nemurus).

Abstract

This study was aimed to analyzed growth and survival rate of tilapia with different feeding rate. Experimental design was used completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and three replications. The treatments tested were (A) 7% FR, (B) 5% FR, (C) 3% FR. The study was conducted using tilapia juvenile 5 cm with average weight 2 gram which was cultivated in 3,140 m3 fiber pond. The observed parameters include absolute growth, growth rate, survival rate, feed conversion rate, and water quality. The allocation of different FR of biofloc system significantly different on growth and FCR of tilapia, but was not significantly different on survival rate of fish. Treatment with 7% FR was giving the best results with absolute growth was 8,83 gram, day growth rate was 0,221 gram/day, survival rate with percentage of 89,67%, and FCR was 1,5. The optimal absolute body weight of this biofloc system was in 7,3% FR. Keywords : Biofloc, tilapia, feeding rate, the growth and the survival rate

Abstract

Tujuan  penelitian  ini  yaitu  untuk  mengetahui  kualitas  karaginan Kappaphycus alvarezii yang  dipanen  dalam  periode  panen  yang  berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan  dengan menggunakan  Rancangan  Acak  Lengkap  (RAL) dengan  4 perlakuan  yaitu  periode  panen 35  hari,  40  hari,  45  hari,  50 hari  dan  55 hari  dengan  3  kali  pengulangan.  Data  yang diperoleh dianalisis  sidik  ragam menggunakan  ANOVA  dan  hasil  yang  berbeda nyata dilanjutkan  dengan  uji lanjut  Beda  Nyata  Terkecil  (BNT). Berdasarkan hasil  analisis rendemen karaginan, rendemen rumput laut kering dan uji organoleptik, diketahui bahwa kualitas karaginan terbaik diperoleh dari periode panen 45 hari. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil  analisis  sidik  ragam  dan  uji lanjut  BNT  menunjukkan bahwa periode  panen  K.alvarezii berpengaruh nyata terhadap kualitas karaginan yang dihasilkan.KATA KUNCI: Kappaphycus alvarezii, karaginan, periode panen.
