Abstract

Asthma is a heterogeneous disease with chronic inflammation of the airways involving inflammatory cells in them, which will respond excessively to a trigger, causing episodic symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, a feeling of pressure in the chest, and coughing (especially in the morning and evening). The aim of this research is to determine the description of drug prescribing for asthma patients at the X Dumai Clinic. This research method was carried out using a retrospective method at the X Dumai Clinic Outpatient Pharmacy during the period July to December 2022. The instruments used were asthma patient prescription sheets and patient prescription data collection sheets. Sampling was carried out using the random sampling method. The number of samples that met the inclusion criteria for this study was 222 patients. Based on gender and age, from the results of research that has been carried out, it is found that the percentage (%) of drug use in asthma patients based on female gender is as high as 122 patients (54.95%) and 100 patients (45.05%) were male. Based on age, it showed that most patients were aged 56-65 years with 59 patients (26.58%). Based on the therapeutic pattern of drug classes, the active drug substance in the drug dosage form showed the highest percentage of 31.98%. Namely Salbutamol. Meanwhile, combination asthma drug prescriptions were 20.27%. Namely Salbutamol and Methylprednisolone.

Abstract

Narcotics are substances or drugs derived from plants, either synthetic or semi-synthetic, which are used to relieve pain and can cause addiction. Narcotics use requires stricter supervision to avoid drug abuse. The aim of this research is to determine the description of the use of narcotics drugs hospital X Pekanbaru city Outpatient Pharmacy Depot for the period August - October 2022. This research is descriptive and data collection was carried out retrospectively. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results of research on the use of narcotic drugs conducted in the period August – October 2022 showed that based on gender, there were 107 prescriptions for men (48.2%) and 115 prescriptions for women (51.8%). Narcotics use based on age was highest in patients over 45 years old with 84 prescriptions (37.84%). The most commonly prescribed use based on the name of the preparation was codeine 15mg with 2,003 tablets (47.05%). The highest use based on prescriptions from specialist doctors was lung specialist doctors with 102 prescriptions (45.94%).

Abstract

A pharmacy is a pharmaceutical service facility where pharmaceutical practice is carried out by pharmacists. Waiting time for prescription services has an important role in health services. The waiting time is set by the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 73 of 2016, which is between 15-30 minutes. This study aims to determine the average waiting time for prescription services at the XPharmacy, Bukittinggi City. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method and concurrent data collection, that is, research is carried out simultaneously with the services being carried out. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique and the research was conducted for 2 months. From a total sample of 353 recipes, 231 concocted recipes and 122 non-concocted recipes were obtained. The research results obtained were that the average waiting time for services for concocted prescriptions was 11.23 minutes and for non-concocted prescriptions was 6.13 minutes. The conclusion of this research is that the average waiting time for prescription services at the XPharmacy for compounded and non-concocted medicines is in accordance with the standards set by the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 73 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacies.
