Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of learning from learning material on a system of two-variable linear equations (SPLDV) based on the learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 2 Kotamobagu. This research is descriptive in nature and employs a quantitative methodology. The participants in this research were Mathematics teachers and seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Kotamobagu for the academic year 2021/22. The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of risky learning on the mathematics topic of the two-variable linear equations (SPLDV) system. This research's data acquisition occurred in March 2021. Data on student learning outcomes and teacher and student responses to the implementation of courageous learning were included in this study. This study's data were collected via written examinations, questionnaires, and interviews. 1) the effectiveness of learning mathematics subject material on a system of two-variable linear equations (SPLDV) in terms of effective student learning outcomes and included in the very high effectiveness criteria with a percentage of 95%; 2) student responses to courageous learning of the mathematics subject system of two-variable linear equations (SPLDV) are excellent or practical with a percentage of 100% as well as responses from teachees.Effectiveness of courageous learning in mathematics

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' errors in working on the System of Two Variable Linear Equations using the Newman procedure at SMP Negeri 1 Tondano. The research approach is a collective case study approach with a critical paradigm. Data was collected through interviews, written tests, observation, and documentation. In contrast, data analysis techniques include data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results obtained were (1) There was an error in the second stage of the Newman error procedure: students needed to understand all the questions the researcher gave. (2) In the Transformation section or the third stage in the Newman error procedure, students have not been able to convert the information obtained from the questions into a mathematical model (3) In the Process Skills section or the fourth stage, most students have not been able to work on the questions with good processing skills ( 4) then in the Answer Writing section there are primarily students who make mistakes when writing the final answer, where students do not write conclusions.

Abstract

Mathematics is a very important science because human activities generally use mathematics. Mathematics itself is a subject that is taught from elementary school to university. Based on observations made by researchers, most students were unable to understand mathematical concepts, this caused students to experience many difficulties and make mistakes in working on math problems. Besides that, many students experience difficulties when memorizing formulas in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the difficulties and factors that cause students' difficulties in working on word problems on a system of two-variable linear equations. The type of research used is qualitative research. The approach to be used in this research is a descriptive approach. And the results of his research, the average student still has difficulty understanding the basic concepts of mathematics, difficulty understanding concepts, difficulties in solving and calculating steps. Because students still need more guidance and encouragement with students who still encounter many obstacles in solving story problems of a system of two-variable linear equations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the average difference in learning outcomes for Cartesian Coordinate material taught using the Numbered Headt Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) score 0f 75. The population in this study was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Motoling Timur consists of 2 classes with a total 60 students with a sample selected from 1 class, namely class VIII, totaling 30 students. The learning tools user are RPP and LKPD. The data obtained were the results of the Posttest of experimental class students with average 0f 88,26 and a standard devitation of 7,87. The data normaliry test is fulfilled, namely Lcount = 0,115 < Ltable = 2,045 where the data is normally distributed. The result of data analysis with a real level of 0,05 abtained tcount = 9,22 > ttable = 2,045 so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It was concluded that the average student learning outcomes in Cartesian Coordinate material taught using NHT type learning exceeded the Minimum Learning Completeness determined by the school namely 75.

Abstract

In accordance with the problem formulation, namely the evaluation carried out by students when solving mathematics problems and the aim is to see how effective the application of the scientific approach with the Polya Heuristic stages is to problems. Solving mathematics problems for students uses descriptive qualitative research based on research findings in classes VIIA and VIIB of SMP Negeri 2 Tompaso about analyzing students' ability to answer mathematics questions using a scientific approach with polya heuristic steps. In general, it shows the existence of factors or obstacles that influence class VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tompaso when working on mathematics questions given by their teacher. This is shown by children's complaints about mathematics subjects which they say are very difficult and cannot be understood well so that they have no interest or interest in mathematics subjects and as a result they are unable to do the mathematics problems given during observations at school. and taking part in the teaching process for almost a month, it can be seen that students at SMP Negeri 2 Tompaso are more interested in other subjects than mathematics because their interest is lacking, and there are still students who cannot read and dictate questions so that is also a mistake. one of their obstacles in working on math problems. Their abilities can also be analyzed using the benchmark questions that have been given, they may almost be able to solve easy questions but not quite long story questions because they prefer to make up or look at the answers from their classmates for the reason that they are too lazy to read the good questions. long. So it can also be concluded that many students at SMP Negeri 2 who are in class VII A and B. Tompaso lack literacy due to a lack of interest in reading questions or introductory books that have been facilitated by the school, so this could be an obstacle for them in solving questions because of their lack of interest in literacy.

Abstract

The ability to solve problems is essential in math learning activities. It is required to have a learning model that can improve the students' SPLTV problem-solving abilities. This research aims to determine whether the students's SPLTV problem-solving abilities that have been taught by the learning model of Project-Based Learning are higher than the students's thinking with a Conventional Learning Model. This research has been conducted in SMA Negeri 3 Bitung by using a population of tenth graders in the school year 2023/2024. It is divided into four classes, and the total is 133 students. The sample selected in this research is from two classes, which are Class X E1 and Class X E3. The total of the students by each classes are 33 students and 34 students. The results of post-test participants in experiment classes and control classes are used as data on their problem-solving abilities. The result explained that the students's SPLTV problem-solving abilities, which use the PjBL Learning Model, are 81,48. This shows a higher average than the students that have been taught by the Conventional Learning Model, which is 65,53. To the full extent of 0.05. Accordingly, the implementation of the PjBL Learning model has an effect on the students' SPLTV problem-solving abilities.
