Abstract

This research aims to develop and validate the Android-based Unsil Basketball Guide (PUBbG) application. The method used in this research is the Research and Development method. Three experts were involved in validating the design and feasibility of the android application made and user validation by 66 students using the proportional random sampling technique. The instruments used are media and material expert validation instruments and user validation instruments using the System Usability Scale (SUS). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the overall application validity test results obtained percentages of 84%, 80%, and 90%, which means that the developed application is valid and feasible to use. The results of user validity using the SUS score are in the excellent category with a value of 72.95, and the results of the application effectiveness assessment based on a user survey get 8.68 results, which means that the application is practical to be able to improve the basic techniques of Bolabakset. This study concludes that the application product that has been made is in the appropriate category based on the results of expert evaluations and is effective for improving basic basketball techniques based on survey results to users.

Abstract

This study intended to build a character education model in an elementary school using traditional games based on the Socratic Method. This study used design-based research (DBR), with five experts helping to validate the character education model using a model evaluation instrument and 26 students participating in the model trial. As a result, the developed model comprises six elements: focus, syntax, reaction principles, social system, support system, and application. Meanwhile, the syntax, which consists of four steps: the initial stage, the transition stage, the working stage, and the termination stage, is the core of this model. Experts strongly agree that the model is in the "highly appropriate" category for fostering character development in elementary school students. There is a Socratic method in the developed syntax that encourages students to analyze the characters they encounter in traditional games. The study concludes that the proposed model can help students build character in elementary schools. Furthermore, this model can introduce and revive traditional games in Indonesia as part of the country's cultural heritage.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the student traveled distance and pulse rate in the implementation of technical learning model in Physical Education subject. The descriptive method was used to obtain information and descriptions of the traveled distance and pulse rate of students during Physical Education learning. Participants involved in this study were 30 students (12-13 years), but only 8 students (4 boys and 4 girls) who used Polar GPS. The instruments used included Polar GPS RC3 to measure the traveled distance and Polar Heart Rate Sensor H3 to determine the students pulse rate. The results showed that the overall average of the student pulse rate was 137.13, which is categorized as the low to moderate category. Meanwhile, the average distance obtained was 0.48 km. It concludes that the student pulse rate during the implementation of the technical learning model in this study was in the low to moderate category. This study was limited to a small number of samples due to limited tools. Therefore, further research is needed to obtain a broader picture.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2019 merupakan tahun pertama seleksi bersama masuk perguruan tinggi negeri (SBMPTN) menggunakan portofolio bagi mahasiswa yang memilih program studi dalam bidang seni dan/atau olahraga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan teknik dasar bola basket pada mahasiswa pendidikan jasmani yang masuk melalui jalur SBMPTN pada tahun 2019. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan sampel sebanyak 130 mahasiswa yang berusia 17-21 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes passing ke dinding dengan jarak 3 meter selama 30 detik, tes shooting selama 30 detik, dan tes menggiring bola dengan zig zag. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh infomasi bahwa rata-rata kemampuan teknik dasar bola basket mahasiswa berada pada kategori cukup berdasarkan penilaian acuan nilai (PAN). Perlu adanya perbandingan antara penerimaan mahasiswa melalui jalur lain agar dapat diketahui perbedaan kemampuan mahasiswa pada masing-masing jalur penerimaan berdasarkan cabang olahraga yang diajarkan pada jurusan yang memiliki program studi olahraga agar didapatkan data yang lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

This research is a follow-up study to test the effectiveness of learning media based on android applications that have been developed and validated by experts in previous studies. The Penjas Unsil Basketball Guige (PUBbG) application has been successfully created and validated by experts with good criteria,, which can already be tested for implementation on students, and research articles have been published in the JUARA Sinta 3 Journal. Therefore, in this study, the researcher attempted to investigate the effect of using an Android application-based learning media called Penjas Unsil Basketball Guide (PUBbG) in increasing students' understanding and basic techniques of playing basketball. As an illustration of the information in the Unsil Basketball Guide (PUBbG) Penjas application which includes a video tutorial on basic techniques that must be mastered by students at a minimum, along with a narrative text module which supports the video. The research method used is an experimental method with a pretest-posttest design to determine the effect of applying products made to increasing understanding and basic basketball techniques. Participants in this study were students of Physical Education at Siliwangi University. The instrument used was a student comprehension test with the Basketball Common Content Knowledge test and the Basic Basketball Skills Technique Test. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used is the t test to determine the effectiveness of the product used by testing the differences in pre-test and post-test results after implementing android application products and comparing them with the control group. The results showed that even though the two groups both showed an increase, only the understanding of students who had a significant difference with the experimental group had more impact than the control group. Whereas in basic technical skills, there was no significant difference between the two groups.

Abstract

Changes and implementations of the new curriculum require a careful preparation and information about the Independent Curriculum, known as Kurikulum Merdeka. The learning model used needs to be explored as an illustration of teacher understanding. This study aimed to examine teacher perspectives regarding their understanding of the Kurikulum Merdeka and the Sport Education Learning Model. The cross-sectional survey method was used to collect data. Data were collected using Google Form filled by 74 teachers. The research instrument was in a Likert scale form and consisted of 30 questions focused on exploring teacher understanding of the Kurikulum Merdeka, the Sport Education (SEM) Learning Model, the SEM Phases/Syntax, and the roles existing in the implementation of the SEM Model and the importance of understanding curriculum and learning models in school. Then, 15 open-ended questions related to models often used by teachers, training expectations to follow, and obstacles experienced during learning at school were given. The research data were processed using Winsteps 5.2.3 software. The Rasch Model analysis was used to analyze the instruments made and the results of the teacher understanding perspective. The results showed that the instrument was valid for use. Related to the results of the teacher perspective, 48.6% of physical education teachers had an understanding and belief in the importance of the Kurikulum Merdeka and the SEM model in elementary schools at a high level. Meanwhile, 12. 2% were at the moderate level and 39.2% were at the low level. These findings can be used as a reflection related to the teacher understanding of the Kurikulum Merdeka and the Sport Education Learning Model and as a reference in arranging training needed for Physical Education teachers in the field.

Abstract

Undang-Undang Keolahragaan No. 11 tahun 2022 pasal 22 ayat 1 menjelaskan bahwa Pembinaan dan pengembangan olahraga dilaksanakan salah satunya melalui jalur masyarakat. Selain itu, dalam Perpres RI Nomor 86 Tahun 2021 tentang Desain Besar Olahraga Nasional (DBON) bahwa pembinaan dan pengembangan keolahragaan nasional yang dilakukan secara efektif, efisien, unggul, terukur, sistematis, akuntabel, dan berkelanjutan dalam lingkup olahraga pendidikan, olahraga rekreasi, olahraga prestasi, dan industri olahraga. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk melaksanakan pembinaan dan pengembangan olahraga berupa kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan cabang olahraga woodball. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu Focus Group Disscussion (FGD), seminar/pelatihan, workshop dan pendampingan serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Sasarannya adalah masyarakat yang terkait (pelatih, guru olahraga dan pegiat olahraga lainnya). Hasil kegiatan ini meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait dengan cabang olahraga woodball sebagai potensi olahraga yang dapat dikembangkan dalam bidang olahraga prestasi dan olahraga masyarakat. Kegiatan ini mendapat respons positif dari peserta kegiatan serta Pengprov Ikatan Woodball Asosiation (IWbA) Jawa Barat dan KONI Kota Tasikmalaya. Pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap perkembangan olahraga dengan bertambahnya kualitas SDM keolahragaan pada cabang olahraga woodball.

Abstract

Berbagai upaya dilakukan untuk memutus penyebaran COVID-19 seperti dengan memakai masker, menjaga jarak, dan menjauhi keramaian. Pemerintah sendiri telah melakukan program testing, tracing, dan treatment. Upaya untuk berdiam diri di rumah, mengasingkan diri atau karantina secara mandiri, tanpa kesadaran dapat menimbulkan kebosanan, bahkan frustasi. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah mengemas kegiatan olahraga yang bisa dilakukan di rumah. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan dengan cara latihan Static Stretching (SS), Dynamic Stretching (DD), dan Low Impact (LI) sesuai dengan norma olahraga sehingga dapat menjaga kebugaran jasmani. Cara penyampaian melalui aplikasi WhatsApp dilakukan dengan focus group discussion, pelatihan dan pendampingan, mitra yang terdiri dari tenaga medis, anggota tim gugus tugas COVID 19, pasien yang berada di karantina mandiri, dan anak-anak panti asuhan yang berjumlah 90 peserta. Mitra keseluruhan dapat menerima model latihan peregangan statis dan dinamis dan melakukan senam Low Impact yang dipandu melalui aplikasi WhatsApp. Kesimpulannya, selama masa pandemi Covid-19, kegiatan olahraga static stretching, Dynamic Stretching, dan Low Impact dilakukan untuk menjaga kebugaran jasmani dan imunitas tubuh. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah permasalah kuota dan akses internet yang kurang stabil dengan model penyampaian secara daring.
