Abstract

Pada tahun 2019, Bengkulu menghasilkan sekitar 523,4 ton dari total produksi bawang merah nasional (0,033% dari total produksi nasional). Sebaliknya, penduduk Provinsi Bengkulu membutuhkan bawang merah sebanyak 5.182 ton setiap tahun. Perlu diupayakan peningkatan produksi bawang merah di Provinsi Bengkulu karena hal tersebut. Upaya peningkatan produksi bawang merah dengan pemanfaatan varietas unggul dan aplikasi POC pupuk organik cair ikan rucah (POC). Ikan rucah merupakan salah satu jenis ikan yang memiliki dagimg relatif sedikit dan banyak duri, sehingga jarang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat umum. Limbah ikan rucah berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku dalam pembuatan pupuk organik cair karena mengandung hara untuk tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui varietas mana yang cocok di budidayakan di bengkulu dan dosis terbaik POC ikan rucah pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah.. Petak utama  adalah Varietas Bawang Merah (A); varietas Lokanata (A1), varietas Sanren F1 (A2), dan varietas Selupu merah (A3). Sedangkan Anak petak adalah Dosis POC ikan rucah (B) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf; 0 ml/l (B0), 100 ml/l (B1), 200 ml/l (B2), dan 300 ml/l (B3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Perlakuan varietas memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap peubah pertumbuhan bawang merah dan memberikan pengaruh nyata dan sangat nyata terhadap peubah hasil tanaman bawang merah.Perlakuan dosis POC memberikan pengaruh berbeda tidak nyata terhadap peubah pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah, kecuali pada peubah hasil ton/ha. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara kedua perlakuan yang diuji terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Kata kunci: Bawang merah, Lokananta, Sanren F1, POC ikan rucah

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh macam naungan dan dosis pupuk nitrogen terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao (Theobroma cacao l.). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap (RAKL) yang disusun secara factorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah naungan yang terdiri dari perlakuan tanpa naungan (S0), atap rumbia (S1), atap plastic (S2), dan atap gedeg (S3), sedangkan faktor kedua adalah pupuk nitrogen yang terdiri dari dosis 0 gram Urea/bibit (N0), dosis 2,5 gram Urea/bibit (N1), dosis 5 gram Urea/bibit (N2), dosis 7,5 gram Urea/bibit (N3), dosis 10 gram Urea/bibit (N4). Pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun,ndiameter batang, berat basah tajuk, berat kering tajuk, berat basah akar, berat kering akar.             Perlakuan pemupukan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, berat basah akar, berat kering akar, tetapi berpengaru sangat nyata terhadap jumlah daun, berat basah tajuk dan berat kering tajuk. Perlakuan naungan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap semua parameter, yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, berat basah basah tajuk, berat kering tajuk, berat basah akar dan berat kering akar. Hasil penelitian pengaruh dosis pupuk nitrogrn dan macam naungan  tidak terdapt interaksi terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao Kata Kunci : Tanaman kakao, Pupuk nitrogen, Macam naungan

Abstract

Bokashi compost is produced through fermentation of organic wastes in an airtight condition using beneficial microbes. This creates a nutrient-rich pre-compost that can be used to enrich the soil. This study investigated the effect of Bokashi type and fermentation age on the growth and yield of organic melon (Cucumis melo L.). A factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors was employed: Bokashi type (oil palm empty fruit bunches, mahogany leaves, and water guava leaves) and fermentation age (1, 5, and 10 months). The results showed that fermentation age significantly affected all observed variables, while Bokashi type significantly influenced flowering time, fruit weight, and fruit diameter. The highest fruit weight (1521.71 g) and diameter (19.07 cm) were obtained from 10-month fermented Bokashi. Among Bokashi types, water guava leaf Bokashi produced the best yield (979.70 g). These findings indicate that extended fermentation improves nutrient availability and enhances melon productivity under organic cultivation systems.

Abstract

Sengon Buto Seeds (Enterolobium cyclocarpum) have hard and thick seeds making it difficult to germinate. Efforts to break sengon buto seed dormancy can be done by using hard acids, one of them is hydrochloric acid (HCl), which can soften the hard surface of the seed coat. This study aims to obtain the concentration and the soaking time of hydrochloric acid in accelerating the breaking of dormancy of sengon buto seeds. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial pattern with 3 replications. The first factor studied was the concentration of hydrochloric acid (HCl) (K) consisting of 3 levels, namely: K1 = 1% (1 ml/l water), K2 = 2% (2 ml/l water) and K3 = 3% (3 ml/l water). The second factor is soaking time (L) consisting of 3 levels, namely: L1 = 6 hours, L2 = 12 hours and L3 = 18 hours. The parameters studied were germination capacity, germination speed, germination uniformity, vigor index and seedling dry weight. The results showed that the concentration of hydrochloric acid (HCl) had a very significant effect on the germination capacity and the germination uniformity of sengon buto seeds, had a significant effect on the germination speed and seedling dry weight. However, it did not have a significant effect on vigor index. The hydrochloric acid concentration of 3% (3 ml/l water) could break the seed dormancy and increase the germination. The soaking time did significantly affect the germination capacity and the germination uniformity. However, it did not have a significant effect on germination speed, vigor index, and seedling dry weight of sengon buto seeds. The best soaking time for sengon buto seeds is 12 hours to break their dormancy. There was interaction between HCl concentration and soaking time on germination uniformity variables. Treatment with hydrochloric acid concentrations of 3% (3 ml/l water) and 12-hour soaking time gave a maximum germination uniformity of 44%. Key words: dormancy, hydrochloric acid, seed
