Abstract

Kata Kunci : Eceng Gondok, Bokashi, Pupuk Organik, Pupuk an Organik

Abstract

Melon cultivation is usually cultivated in the highlands, but the development of melon cultivation in the lowlands has the potential to be developed. The problem is that ultisol with low fertility dominates the soil in the lowlands. Cultivating melons in polybags makes it possible to provide ideal nutrients for plant needs. The right frequency of fertilization can provide appropriate nutrients for each phase of plant growth. The study aimed to determine the best dose and frequency of potassium fertilizer application and the interaction between the two on the growth and yield of melon plants and the sweet taste of melons. The study used a randomized block design (RBD). Factor I: Potassium dose (D) 4 levels: control: 0 g per plant, D1: 30, D2: 40, D3: 50. The second factor is the frequency of application of Potassium (F) consisting of 3 levels, namely: F1: 4 times, F2: 6, and F3: 8. The results of the study showed that the frequency of application of potassium fertilizer had a significant effect on the flowering age of melon plants. A potassium fertilizer dose of 50 g per plant (D3) gave the best fruit weight and diameter and a higher sweetness than other treatments. Keywords: Lowland, Fertilization frequency, Polybag cultivation, Potassium dosage.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The concept of dance creation by Sardono W. Kusumo is inspired by air circulation of an old building in Semarang Central Java called ‘Lawang sewu’ which means a building with ‘a thousand of doors’. In fact, the flowing of air action in and out the building has no opportunity to create an establishment of ‘form’. So, the concept of ‘Lawang sewu’ is a ‘guideline’ to explore spatial possibility in term of corporeality. This is considered as a training of sensibility, as it happened at the swarm- ing phenomenon which expresses speed and accurate movements without any collision of each other. This kind of movement itself is also related to the global discourse, recently, in term of the perspective of arts that can be observed either as a reality fiction or a reality of mundane life. The result of this research will explore the possibility of the implementation of Lawang Sewu Concept to the embodi- ment of new creative tradition, especially on contextual approach, those are cross-cultural and cross discipline of arts in Indonesia.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of the timing of application and the dosage of water hyacinth bokashi, as well as the interaction between the two, on the growth and yield of red onions in polybags. The research uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the timing of bokashi application, which consists of three levels: application at planting time (W0), application one week before planting (W1), and application two weeks before planting (W2). The second factor is the dosage of bokashi, which consists of five levels: control (DO); 12.5 grams (D1); 25 grams (D3); 37.5 grams (D4); and 50 grams. (D5). The research results indicate that the application timing significantly affects plant height at 6 MST, the number of leaves at 2 MST, and the dry weight of red onions. The bokashi dosage significantly affects plant height at 2 MST, 4 MST, and 6 MST, the number of leaves at 2 MST, and the dry weight of the onions. Meanwhile, the interaction between the timing of application and bokashi dosage significantly affects all observed variables, except for plant height at 2 MST, 6 MST, and dry weight, which show a very significant effect. The application of bokashi two weeks before planting (W2) is the best timing that yields better growth and results for red onions compared to applying it at planting time (W0) and one week before planting (W1). The bokashi dose (D3) of 33.22 gr is the optimal dosage for promoting the growth and yield of red onions.

Abstract

This experiment aims to determine the response of several red chili varieties to doses of bokashi mixed with remunggai (Moringa oleifera)and water apple leaves (Syzygium aqueum). This research was conducted from December 2022 to April 2023 in Bukit Peninjauan 1 Village, Sukaraja District, Seluma Regency. Using a completely randomized factorial design. The first factor was variety (V) which consisted of V1: Panex 100, V2: Pilar, V3: Gada MK, and the second factor was the dose of bokahi (D) which consisted of D1: control (NPK), D2: 10 tonnes/ha, D3: 20 tonnes/ha, B4: 30 tonnes/ha. The treatment was repeated 3 times to produce 36 experimental units. The results of the analysis of variance were continued with the Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with a level of 5% if the factors had a significant or very significant effect. The results of the research that has been done show that giving different doses of bokashi to 3 varieties of chili plants has no significant effect on all observed variable parameters, both plant height, number of branches, flowering age, harvesting age, number of fruits per plant, and fruit weight planted.
