Abstract

Plankton is instrumental in the aquatic ecosystem, plankton can be an indicator of fertility and pollution. The quality of a water especially the flooded waters can be determined based on the fluctuations of the plankton population that will affect the trophic levels of the waters. The quality of a water can be measured by knowing the value of the Saprobic Index (SI). The Saprobic index is an index that closely relates to the pollution level. This research aims to determine the level of fertility and pollution levels in the waters of Telaga Tunjung Dam, based on the status of Trophic and Saprobic's structure of Phytoplankton, knowing the relationship (linkage) of trophic status and structure Saprobic phytoplankton with variable water quality in Telaga Tunjung Dam. The methods of study used are descriptive methods of case study. The research was conducted on five stations with four repetitions. Plankton sampling performed actively using plankton net with mesh size 60 μm diameter 25 cm. Based on the results of the status of the trophic waters in Telaga Tunjung Dam is at the head of high Water Fertility (Eutrofik). The pollution level is mild to moderate water with a saprobic index from 0,739 to -0,583. The trophic level relationship and the saprobic structure with the water quality variable show that good water quality affects the abundance of high phytoplankton and mild to moderate pollution levels.

Abstract

Snakehead fish (Channa striata) is a freshwater fishery commodity in Indonesia which has a high protein content. Many studies on the benefits of snakehead fish have resulted in an increase in the amount of demand for these fish. One of the production factors that support fish farming is feed. The snakehead fish seeds have an average length of 2 cm, with rudimentary digestive organs. Therefore, the most suitable feed as seed feed is natural food. Commonly used natural feed is water fleas (Daphnia sp.) and silk worms (Tubifex sp.). This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of feed on the growth of snakehead fish seeds and to determine the combination of feed that gives the highest growth in snakehead fish seeds. This research was conducted at the Fisheries Resources Development Laboratory, Warmadewa University for 60 days, from March to April 2020. The method used in this study was an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD) with six treatments and three replications. The analysis used in this study was Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The results showed that there was an effect of combination feeding on the growth of snakehead fish as indicated by the increase in absolute weight and length. And the sixth treatment is a combination of feed that provides the highest growth in snakehead fish seeds.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the species composition, abundance and community structure of periphyton based on biological indices found in various types of substrates in giant prawn ponds (Macrobrachiun rosenbergii de Man). This research was carried out in July-August 2020 in the POKDAKAN Mina Anakan Jepun culture pond, Bebetin Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency and identification of periphyton was carried out in the Agricultural Analysis Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Warmadewa University. This study used experimental methods and the data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The substrates used are bamboo substrate, palm oil substrate, and PVC pipe substrate with a diameter of 5 x 10 cm2. Periphyton sampling was carried out once every 7 days for 28 days, namely at 07.00-09.00 WITA. The abundance of periphyton on bamboo substrates ranged from 31,338-62,828 ind/cm2, on palm sugar substrates between 33,936–47,083 ind/cm2, and on PVC pipe substrates ranging from 39,592-71,236 ind/cm2. The diversity index value on bamboo substrates ranged from 2.33-3.00, on palm substrates ranged from 2.42-2.80, on PVC pipe substrates ranged from 2.72-2.94. The uniformity index of periphyton on bamboo substrates ranged from 0.72-0.82, on palm oil substrates ranged from 0.70-0.80, and on PVC pipe substrates ranged from 0.81-0.83. The dominance index on bamboo substrates ranged from 0.10-0.19, on palm oil substrates ranged from 0.10-0.21, and on PVC pipe substrates ranged from 0.08-0.10.

Abstract

The gaff (macrobrachium rosenbergi DE man) is a type A highly cultivated freshwater shrimp that is kept in freshwater pools, lakes, and even in the ebb and flow of upstream and downstream. The stick shrimp has a larger size than other freshwater shrimps, which are relatively slow, so it takes a natural expert to increase growth and survive the natural food-fodder fodder worms that are used in Hong Kong worms and silk worms. The study is aimed at seeing how different types of feeding different types affect the growth and survival of the spear shrimps. This research was done in br. Abstract

Kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) dengan Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan Mina Anakan Jepun dan Unit Pembenihan Rakyat (UPR) di Desa Bebetin, Kecamatan Sawan, Kabupaten Buleleng adalah berdasarkan kebutuhan kelompok tani mitra untuk memproduksi benih ikan Nila baik secara kuantitas maupun berkualitas melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna yaitu pemijahan ikan menggunakan “Kantong Jaring Tenggelam” dan panen benih menggunakan “Jaring Gelar” serta penerapan manajemen administrasi kegiatan kelompok pada kelompok mitra. Teknologi ini sangat diharapkan mengingat sampai saat ini kelompok belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan benih ikan nila untuk pembudidaya ikan KJA di Danau Batur. Kelompok mitra yang telah diberikan penyuluhan & diskusi, pelatihan manajemen administrasi kegiatan kelompok dan praktek pemijahan ikan penggunakan “kantong jaring tenggelam” dan praktek panen benih menggunkan “jaring gelar”, telah mengikuti kegiatan dengan serius dan 95 persen (%) peserta mampu menenerapkan teknologi tepat guna yang telah diprogramkan. Hasil praktek penggunakan alat pemijahan dengan “kantong jaring tenggelam” dan penen benih dengan “jaring gelar”, dapat menghasilkan benih dengan daya hidup 99% dimana sebelumnya hanya bisa mencapai kurang dari 50%. Demikian pula benih yang dikirim sampai kepada konsumen benih (para Pembudidaya ikan di Danau Batur) dapat mecapai daya hidup 100% dibandingkan sebelumnya maksimal mencapai 70%. Abstract

Indonesia memiliki peluang bagus guna pengembangan usaha industri budidaya lobster (Panulirus spp.) terbesar di dunia, karena memiliki modal utama ketersediaan sumber daya benih alami stadia puerulus atau Benih Bening Lobster (BBL) yang sangat melimpah. Untuk mengantisipasi perkembangan budidaya lobster di Indonesia, maka kebutuhan akan benih lobster alami di masa mendatang diprediksi akan meningkat secara signifikan, karena teknologi pembenihan lobster belum berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji produktivitas dan fluktuasi hasil tangkapan BBL pada bulan yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Agustus 2022 dengan ditunjang data yang dicatat oleh kelompok nelayan. Lokasi penelitian di perairan pesisir Prigi Kabupaten Trenggalek. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Responden dalam penelitian adalah para nelayan penangkap BBL anggota Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUB) Gurita Jaya. Hasil tangkapan BBL dalam satuan ekor per trip per lembar alat kolektor pocong pada bulan berbeda menunjukkan hasil tangkapan yang berbeda sangat nyata. Puncak hasil tangkapan BBL terjadi pada dua kelompok bulan yaitu pada Maret-April dan Agustus-September. Dalam melakukan penangkapan BBL nelayan Prigi menggunakan kolektor yang dikenal sebagai alat kolektor pocong. Berfluktuasinya tangkapan BBL pada bulan berbeda diduga disebabkan adanya pengaruh fenomena arus, upwelling dan kesuburan perairan di Samudera Indonesia khususnya wilayah perairan pesisir Prigi.Indonesia has the opportunity to develop the world's largest lobster (Panulirus spp.) cultivation industry, because it has the main capital for the availability of abundant natural seed resources at the puerulus stage or Lobster Transparent Seed (LTS). In order to anticipate the development of lobster cultivation in Indonesia, the need for natural lobster seeds in the future is predicted to increase significantly, because lobster hatchery technology has not yet developed. This study aims to examine the productivity and fluctuations in the catch of LTS in different months. The research was conducted in March-August 2022. The research location is in the coastal waters of Prigi, Trenggalek Regency. The research uses descriptive analytical method which is survei. Respondents in the study were fishermen who caught BBL members of the Gurita Jaya Joint Business Group (JBG). LTS catches in units of tails per trip per piece of pocong equipment in different months showed very significant different catches. The peak of LTS catches occurred in two groups of months, namely in March-April and August-September. In catching LTS, Prigi fishermen use a collector known as a pocong fishing gear. The fluctuation of LTS catches in different months is due to the influence of current phenomena, upwelling and water fertility in the Indonesian Ocean and the Prigi coastal waters.

Abstract

Ikan gabus adalah salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang terdapat di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Ikan gabus telah diasosiasikan sebagai obat, karena kandungan yang dimilikinya telah terbukti secara klinis pada beberapa penyakit. Ikan Gabus memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi terutama albumin dan asam amino esensial, lemak khususnya asam lemak esensial, mineral khususnya zink/seng (Zn) dan beberapa vitamin yang sangat baik untuk kesehatan Muh. Asfar dkk (2014). Kegiatan Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan (Pokdakan) “Mina Anakan Jepun” di Desa Bebetin, Kecamatan Sawan, Kabupaten Buleleng melakukan kegiatan membudidayakan beberapa jenis ikan yaitu ikan nila, ikan gabus dan udang, terutama untuk memproduksi benih. Hasil kerjasama penelitian terapan dengan unwar sebagai mitra untuk bersedia menerapkan produk teknologi yang didapatkan untuk membudidayakan ikan gabus dengan rekayasa pakan buatan yang memberikan kelulushidupan lebih banyak. Kegiatan ini diharapkan, mitra mengetahui dan memahami teknologi budidaya ikan gabus pada tahap pembenihan untuk memberikan kelulushidupan benih lebih banyak; mampu memproduksi benih ikan gabus yang siap dibudidayakan menjadi ikan konsumsi, dan mitra dapat memahami dan menerapkan manajemen administrasi kegiatan kelompok. Metode yang digunakan adalah: (a) memberikan penyuluhan tentang teknologi pembenihan ikan gabus dan manajemen andiministrasi kelompok, dan (b) memberikan pelatihan dan praktek pemeliharaan benih ikan gabus melalui rekayasa pakan buatan (pelet) yang dikombinasikan dengan pakan alami. Hasil kegiatan ini didapatkan, bahwa kelompok mitra memiliki Pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota kelompok mitra mencapai 90% tentang teknologi pemeliharaan ikan gabus yang baik dan benar, dapat memproduksi benih ikan gabus yang siap dibudidayakan pada tahap pembesaran yang sudah terbiasa memakan pakan buatan (pelet) memberikan nilai kelulushidupan 90%, dan kemampuan kelompok mitra sampai 60% mengatasi masalah-masalah yang muncul, terutama masalah manajemen produksi benih, serta pengembangan usahatani. Sebagai langkah strategis adalah melakukan usaha budidaya dalam skala rumah tangga melalui budidaya ikan gabus di dalam kolam terpal. Selanjutnya kelompok mitra diberikan teknologi budidaya praktis yaitu penggunaan Probiotic, dan pembuatan pakan alami dengan harapan budidaya ikan menguntungkan melalui penekanan biaya pakan dan masa pemeliharaan lebih pendek.

Abstract

Cultivating tilapia in round ponds with the biofloc system which has the advantage that tarpaulin ponds are easy to make, and the pond temperature is more stable than cement ponds. The methods that will be carried out in the implementation of this training are interviews, face-to-face, counseling and direct practice. The advantage of tarpaulin pools is that they are efficient in using water because we only need to fill in water at the beginning and the addition of water is also adjusted according to conditions.  The application of Biofloc technology in Pancasari Village can increase tilapia production. The biofloc system can also increase the Survival Rate (SR) of fish and reduce the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR).

Abstract

Panelists are a reflection of consumers in assessing the suitability of a product. Organoleptically, panelists can determine quality fish chili sauce. In this research, Fish chili Sauce contains 10% fermented tuna meat, so it has a distinctive taste. In storage for three weeks, the quality of the fish sauce will change. The extent of the changes that have occurred will be assessed by the panelists. The aim of the research is to get quality fish chili sauce in certain packaging with the longest shelf life. Using a nested experimental method with two factors, factor I type of packaging, factor II storage time, repeated three times. The best research results, Fish chili Sauce with Glass Jar Packaging with a shelf life of three weeks got an Organoleptic Value of Taste = 5.6 (Kinda Like it), Color Value  =  6.0  (Like),  Aroma Value  =  5.8  (Kinda Like  it  )  and  Value Overal Acceptance = 5.8 (Kinda Like it).
