Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style and organizational climate on employee performance through job satisfaction as a mediating variable (study at Nyitdah Regional General Hospital). The data analysis technique uses 'path analysis' (path analysis) where the data has been tested for validity, reliability test, and classical assumption test. The results of the analysis found that 1) Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction at Nyitdah Hospital; 2) Organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction at Nyitdah Hospital; 3) Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Nyitdah Hospital; 4) Organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Nyitdah Hospital; 5) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Nyitdah Hospital; 6) Leadership style has a positive effect on employee performance through job satisfaction at Nyitdah Hospital. Job satisfaction has not been able to act as a mediating variable in the relationship between leadership style and employee performance at Nyitdah Hospital; and 7) Organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction at Nyitdah Hospital. Job satisfaction can act as a mediating variable in the relationship between organizational climate and employee performance at Nyitdah Hospital. Suggestions in this study, it is expected that the hospital director should maintain and improve leadership style, organizational climate, and job satisfaction to improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study stems from the growing awareness of the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between professional duties and personal life, particularly in enhancing job satisfaction and employee performance. The issue is especially pertinent at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Badung Regency, where employees frequently face high workloads and tight deadlines. To examine this phenomenon, a quantitative research approach was adopted, employing the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with SmartPLS 3 for data analysis. Out of a total population of 105 employees, 83 were randomly selected as respondents.The findings demonstrate that a well-maintained work-life balance significantly improves both job satisfaction and employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction emerges as a key determinant of productivity and serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between work-life balance and performance, strengthening the overall impact.Based on these insights, it is recommended that BPKAD Badung implement targeted strategies aimed at fostering a work culture that supports work-life balance and actively promotes employee satisfaction—two essential factors for enhancing individual performance and ensuring sustainable organizational growth. Keywords :  Employee Performance, Job Satisfaction, Work-Life Balance

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional (TL) dan pengembangan karir (PK) terhadap kinerja pegawai (KN), baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui variabel mediasi Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Analisis dilakukan menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 4.0. Penelitian ini melibatkan 98 responden dari Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang Kabupaten Badung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB (β = 0.369; p < 0.001); (2) Pengembangan karir berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB (β = 0.489; p < 0.001); (3) OCB berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai (β = 0.700; p < 0.001); (4) Kepemimpinan transformasional tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja pegawai (β = 0.085; p = 0.062); (5) Pengembangan karir berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai (β = 0.176; p = 0.015); (6) OCB secara signifikan memediasi pengaruh Kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja pegawai (VAF = 75,2%; β = 0.342; p = 0.000); (7) OCB secara signifikan memediasi pengaruh Pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja pegawai (VAF = 66,0%; β = 0.258; p = 0.000). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa OCB memiliki peran mediasi yang sangat penting dalam memperkuat pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja pegawai. Oleh karena itu, pembangunan budaya kerja yang loyal dan proaktif sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas kinerja di lingkungan organisasi.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of financial literacy and digital financial inclusion on the financial performance of MSMEs in Denpasar City, considering the mediating role of digital financial inclusion. This quantitative research employed a cross-sectional approach using purposive sampling of 150 MSME owners across four sub-districts in Denpasar City. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0. Financial literacy significantly influences financial performance (β = 0.326, t = 4.127, p < 0.001). Digital financial inclusion significantly affects financial performance (β = 0.418, t = 5.293, p < 0.001). Digital financial inclusion partially mediates the relationship between financial literacy and financial performance (indirect effect = 0.218, p < 0.001, VAF = 40.1%). Significant differences in financial performance were found based on business sector (p = 0.024), but not by gender, age, or education level. Simultaneous improvement of financial literacy and adoption of digital financial technology can enhance MSME financial performance in Denpasar City. The research model explains 58.3% of the variation in MSME financial performance).
