Abstract

Dian Asa Utari Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo dian_asa_demos@yahoo.com   Abstract The arrival of digital technology has done much to change the way in which learning is displayed, shared, and analyzed in multimedia, as well as hypermedia environments. The adoption level of emerging web technologies is on the rise in academic settings. Students become more technologically literate and the trends of writing are shifting from paper-based texts to screen based texts. This paper first points out the teaching of writing in the digital age, with the integration of Information and Communication Technologies where Weblog is used as a promising tool. Toward this end, this paper further explains briefly about Weblog in writing course, its features and types, and technical matters concerning how to use weblog for writing instruction. The advantages of using Weblog are also described in this paper, carrying out the idea of utilizing Weblog in the writing subjects in the higher level of education.   Key words:  information and communication technologies, weblog, teaching of writing Abstract Kedatangan teknologi digital telah banyak mengubah cara pembelajaran dimana pembelajaran ditampilkan, dibagi, dan dianalisis dalam multimedia, demikian juga lingkungan hypermedia. Makalah ini pertama menunjukkan pengajaran menulis di era digital, dengan integrasi Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi di mana Weblog digunakan sebagai alat yang menjanjikan. Sampai disini, tulisan ini lebih lanjut menjelaskan secara singkat tentang Weblog dalam mata kuliah writing, fitur dan jenis-jenisnya, dan hal teknis mengenai bagaimana menggunakan weblog dalam pengajaran writing. Abstract

Informasi mengenai data persebaran ikan merupakan informasi yang sangat berguna untuk nelayan dalam menemukan lokasi persebaran ikan. Informasi tersebut dikeluarkan oleh Balai Riset dan Observasi Laut dari kementrian Kelautan yang berupa data lokasi latitude dan longitude. Layanan ini berupa peta digital, peta tersebut kita kenal dengan Peta Perkiraan Daerah Penangkapan Ikan (PPDPI). Pada kenyataannya masih banyak nelayan yang kurang memanfaatkan informasi tersebut yang menyebabkan hasil tangkap ikan oleh nelayan kurang maksimal. Penelitian ini membuat prototipe perangkat portabel navigasi untuk menemukan lokasi sebaran ikan. Prototipe bekerja berdasarkan data informasi yang berupa data latitude dan longitude dari Balai Riset dan Observasi Laut. Dengan memasukan data persebaran ikan maka jarak lokasi dan arah lokasi target dapat diketahui. Data informasi dapat dimasukkan kedalam prototipe navigasi dengan menggunakan komunikasi bluetooth yang kemudian data tersebut diolah oleh mikrokontroller. Sensor yang digunakan dalam perangkat adalah sensor GPS dan sensor kompas. Hasil penelitian didapatkan prototipe navigasi dapat menghitung jarak lokasi tujuan terhadap lokasi awal dengan tingkat keberhasilan sebesar 99.404106% dan pengukuran sudut target lokasi tujuan dengan tingkat keberhasilan sebesar 99.0271%.

Abstract

Industri galangan kapal merupakan industri fabrikasi di sektor perkapalan yang melibatkan penggunaan material dan praktek manufaktur. Dalam pembangunan kapal, keterlambatan penyelesaian proyek pembangunan kapal berarti pihak galangan kapal harus membayar denda (penalty) keterlambatan sesuai dengan yang tertera pada perjanjian kontrak. Seperti dalam kasus proyek pembuatan Kapal Pengawas Perikanan Aluminium 17M oleh PT. Batam Expresindo Shipyard ini, pelaksanaannya mengalami keterlambatan sehingga galangan harus membayarkan denda sebesar 1 per mill dari nilai kontrak per harinya. Salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan crashing project pada pekerjaan yang berada pada lintasan kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Critical Path Method (CPM) dan metode Time Cost Trade Off. Hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa waktu dan biaya optimal dengan alternatif penambahan tenaga kerja dan penambahan jam kerja sebesar 5 jam dari jam kerja normal dengan produktivitas 80%. Durasi crashing project yang dihasilkan adalah 30 hari lebih cepat dari durasi aktual, dari total durasi proyek 222 hari menjadi 192 hari dengan penambahan biaya crashing project sebesar Rrp. 76. 719.846

Abstract

Many vocational schools have been bringing their educational practice closer to industry along with the concept of Teaching Factory (TEFA) to adjust the students’ skills as close as the industry demands. The implementation of TEFA based curriculum in one of vocational higher education in Surabaya for all subjects including English subject has been performed since 2019. In English classes, the Teaching Factory-Based Strategy covers two methods: product-based learning and flipped classroom. This research aims to explore the implementation of TEFA-based strategy and the two methods by revealing students' perceptions and responses on the strategy. This research is descriptive qualitative research in which data were obtained through questionnaires and interviews. The students observed were from 4 different study programs in this PPNS. The results of this study show positive perceptions of students toward TEFA – based strategy implemented in the classroom even though there are some obstacles faced by both students and lecturers. Hopefully this research can contribute practically to English teachers who are adopting TEFA in English language teaching.

Abstract

CV. Gaya Indah (CV. GI) is a company engaged in the field of machining services. One of the products being produced is bush kora. Bush kora is a spare part of a motor vehicle that functions as a protector/house for bearings. In 2021 the number of requests for bush kora products increased rapidly to increase production capacity the company's want to change the production flow from 1 machine to 2 machines, but the number of machines in the company was not sufficient so the Company plans to invest in Mazak Quick Smart 150s CNC Lathe Machine by considering technical/operational aspects and financial aspects. The results of the analysis obtained in the technical/operational aspect is that the production capacity can meet the eligibility requirements, that is demand < production capacity. In the financial aspect, the feasibility assessment criteria using NPV (Net Present Value) has a positive value of Rp. 50.694.290,-, the percentage of IRR (Internal Rate of Return) is 9,138% and is greater than the discount factor specified, that is 6,678% , and the payback period shows that the time required to return the invested investment is 5 months 16 days faster than the project contract period, which is 1 year, so from the results of the analysis using the capital budgeting technique, it is stated that the investment plan is feasible to implement.

Abstract

Abstract - One of the manufacturing companies in Indonesia is developing a modern rice mill plant (MRMP) project in Jember. The infrastructure development of the project requires some planning, one of which is a good layout design. The layout design in the project has problems including the arrangement of machinery that is not in accordance with the production flow, the utilization of the available area is not maximized, and does not pay attention to the close relationship between facilities so that it will cause back tracking and excessive movement that will harm the company. Solving these problems can be done by designing a new facility layout using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method. The results of the research using this method were obtained as many as 4 layout proposals, then one layout proposal was chosen, namely layout 4. The selected layout proposal has a difference in OMH value and total material handling mileage with the highest initial layout and can increase efficiency in material handling by 28.88 % on total material handling mileage and 37.47% efficiency on material handling costs per day.

Abstract

According to the minister of industry, despite being under pressure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a number of industrial sub-sectors grew very high in 2021. With this increase, the company finally carried out an evaluation. PT.AAM is still not optimal in meeting the supply of raw materials for fire door production. The main cause that often occurs is the large number of purchases of raw, causing hoarding which can affect the total cost of raw material inventory. Researchers will analyze these problems using the Economic Order Quantity method. The results using EOQ can result in inventory costs being decreased by an average of Rp.1.296.922. with less ordering frequency and optimum cycle. The reorder has been determined by the number of calculations from the reorder point.

Abstract

The shipbuilding industry is a fabrication industry in the ship sector that involves the use of materials and manufacturing processes.. When a shipbuilding project is finished later than expected, the shipyard is required under the contract agreement to pay a penalty. PT Batam Expresindo Shipyard must pay a penalty equal to 1 mill of the contract value every day because the implementation is delayed, as was the case with the 17M Aluminum Fisheries Supervisory Shipbuilding project.One solution that can be done is by crashing the project on the work that is on the critical path. This research uses Critical Path Method (CPM) and Time Cost Trade Off method. The results of the analysis found that the optimal time and cost with an alternative addition of labor and additional working hours of 5 hours from normal working hours with a productivity of 80%. The resulting crashing project duration is 30 days faster than the actual duration, from a total project duration of 222 days to 192 days with an additional crashing project cost of Rp. 76. 719,846.
