Abstract

This article discusses the view of Islamic Religious Education towards the phenomenon of flexing or showing off wealth in QS. at-Takatsur. Using a qualitative descriptive-analitycly method, this article concludes that QS. at-Takatsur strongly criticizes human behavior that is too attached to materialistic world competition and excessive wealth. The verses of surah at-Takatsur warn of the negative consequences  of unbalanced  flexing. The emphasis  on  the importance of simplicity, gratitude, and justice in the management of wealth is the basis for the view of Islamic Religious Education towards flexing behavior. Thus, the view of Islamic Religious Education towards flexing as a challenge can be overcome through a deep understanding of the teachings of the Qur'an, the implementation of Islamic values in everyday life, and joint efforts to form a more balanced and just society. This article is expected to be one of the references and a better understanding of Islamic values that can shape Islamic character and reduce the negative impact of the flexing phenomenon in society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the readiness of PAI teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum, supporting and inhibiting factors, and efforts made to improve its implementation. The study used a case study method with a qualitative approach at MTs Negeri 2 Tangerang and MTs Yabika Jambe, Tangerang Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving four PAI teachers as the main subjects, as well as the head of the madrasah, deputy head of curriculum, and head of the foundation as key informants. The results of the study showed that at MTs Negeri 2 Tangerang, PAI teachers were cognitively, psychologically, and financially ready, supported by the DIPA budget, ASN/PPPK status, and government policies. The main obstacles included teacher workload, time constraints, and inadequate IT facilities. Meanwhile, at MTs Yabika Jambe, teachers' cognitive and financial readiness were considered sufficient, while psychological readiness was considered ready, supported by the foundation's commitment, internet access, and community support. Inhibiting factors include limited learning time, financial constraints, and suboptimal understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum concept. Efforts made by both madrasas include Merdeka Curriculum training, development of differentiated RPP and P5RA, collaboration with madrasah principals and other teachers, utilization of digital technology, and involvement of parents and the community.

Abstract

Madrasah is a formal educational institution with Islamic characteristics that is part of the national education system in Indonesia. The existence of madrasah not only functions as a religious educational institution, but also as a provider of general education integrated with Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the implementation of policies challenging madrasah in the national education system, opportunities and challenges of madrasah in Indonesia, efforts to strengthen madrasah policies. This study uses a library method through a qualitative descriptive approach by reviewing laws and regulations and policy documents related to madrasah. The results of the study indicate that madrasah policies in Indonesia continue to develop towards strengthening legality, improving quality, modernizing the curriculum, and institutional governance. However, its implementation still faces challenges in the form of disparities in quality, limited infrastructure, and the quality of human resources. Meanwhile, efforts to strengthen madrasah policies can be done by strengthening the distribution of aid facilities and financing, improving the competence of teachers and madrasah principals, strengthening the implementation of an integrative curriculum between general knowledge, religious knowledge, character, and 21st-century skills, and improving accountability-based governance and service quality. Therefore, madrasah policies need to be continuously strengthened to be able to respond to national education demands and community needs.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in shaping quality human resources through the implementation of educational quality management and the improvement of teacher quality as the main implementers of the learning process. This study was motivated by the importance of the role of educational institution leaders in fostering, directing, and empowering teachers to achieve optimal education quality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation and strategies used by educational institution leaders in improving quality management among teachers at MTs Negeri 1 and MTs Negeri 2 in Serang Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that educational institution leaders have implemented quality management by applying five competencies of madrasah principals, namely personality, managerial, entrepreneurial, supervisory, and social competencies. This implementation is realized through systematic program planning, continuous academic supervision, and teacher professional development through MGMP activities, workshops, seminars, and performance monitoring. Improvements in education quality were also made through the integrated management of inputs, processes, outputs, and outcomes. Supporting factors in the implementation of quality management included the leadership competencies of madrasah principals, teacher commitment and participation, a collaborative work culture, and the use of technology and managerial innovation. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include differences in teachers' understanding of quality management, limited time for professional development, limited infrastructure, and resistance to change. Overall, participatory and collaborative leadership has proven to be able to improve the quality of education and teachers in madrasahs.
