Abstract

This research is motivated by bribery cases that have occurred both in North Sumatra. This indicates that there are problems that occur in the Investment Office so that officers have great potential to be bribed by the public. On that basis, the researchers tried to analyze socio-economic conditions, public understanding and service quality at the One Stop Integrated Licensing and Investment Service Office of North Sumatra Province on the probability of bribery with licensing transparency seen as an indirect or intervening variable. The type of research that will be conducted is quantitative research. Quantitative methods are used to see the similarities in responses to perceptions of the probability of bribing that occur in the One Stop Integrated Licensing and Investment Service Office of North Sumatra Province. This research is also specifically an Explanatory Survey, namely research that explains the relationship between the variables studied. The results of this study show that of the eight effects there are four hypotheses that have a significant effect, namely, public understanding of licensing transparency, public understanding of the probability of bribery, service quality towards licensing transparency and licensing transparency on the probability of bribery. In addition, there are three hypotheses that have no effect, namely socio-economic on the transparency of licensing, socio-economic on the probability of bribery and service quality on the probability of bribery. Furthermore, on the indirect effect, it can be seen that socioeconomics does not affect the probability of bribery through licensing transparency as an intermediate/indirect variable, public understanding affects the probability of bribery through licensing transparency as an intermediate/indirect variable and service quality affects the probability of bribery through licensing transparency as intermediate/indirect variable.

Abstract

Koperasi Osseda Faolala Perempuan Nias merupakan koperasi yang bergerak di bidang simpan pinjam, pelatihan, dan juga memproduksi minyak kelapa murni, penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) terhadap produktivitas personil dan mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kualitas SDM terhadap produktivitas pegawai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain survei. Data disebarkan melalui angket kepada responden sebanyak 30 orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, uji reabilitas data, uji koefisien korelasi, uji koefisien determinasi, uji regresi linear sederhana  dan uji hipotesi (uji t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pengaruh kualitas SDM terhadap produktivitas pegawai di Koperasi Osseda Faolala Perempuan Nias memiliki nilai sebesar 56,5% berdasarkan hasil uji koefisien determinan. (2) Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa kualitas SDM mempunyai pengaruh terhadap produktivitas pegawai

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of life expectancy and years of schooling on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Langkat Regency. The research findings indicate a positive correlation between life expectancy and HDI, affirming that an increase in life expectancy correlates with an improvement in HDI. This phenomenon reflects the positive impact of enhanced community health on overall human development. Furthermore, years of schooling have also been proven to play a crucial role in shaping HDI. The analysis results demonstrate that communities with higher years of schooling tend to have a higher HDI. This illustrates a close relationship between investment in formal education and the enhancement of human development levels. The research contributes valuable insights into the factors that drive sustainable human development in the context of Langkat Regency.Keywords : Life Expectancy, Years of Schooling, Human Development Index

Abstract

This text discusses a research study conducted in Bahasa Indonesia. It seems to be focused on examining the influence of unemployment and the number of poor people on the Human Development Index in the city of Bukittinggi. The data used in the study is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Bukittinggi. The data analysis technique employed is multiple regression analysis using the Eviews 12 program.The results of the analysis indicate that the variable of unemployment has a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index in Bukittinggi, as evidenced by the t-value of 3.068 with a significance level (Sig.) smaller than the significance level (0.0107 < 0.05). On the other hand, the variable of the number of poor people shows a negative and significant impact on the Human Development Index in Bukittinggi, with a t-value of -3.788 and a significance level (Sig.) smaller than the significance level (0.003 < 0.05).In summary, the study suggests that unemployment has a positive and significant influence, while the number of poor people has a negative and significant influence on the Human Development Index in Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Based on the initial survey, deficiencies in the performance of teaching staff were identified, as indicated by high absenteeism rates, which ultimately negatively impact the school's performance. This study focuses on the aspects of motivation, work environment, and the performance of teaching staff, examining whether motivation and the work environment affect teaching staff performance both separately and collectively. The aim of this research is to understand the conditions of motivation, work environment, and teaching staff performance at SMA Swasta Methodist Berastagi, and to assess the impact of motivation and work environment on teaching staff performance, both partially and simultaneously. The results show that motivation and the work environment are rated as good, as is the performance of the teaching staff. Motivation contributes 12.04% to teaching staff performance, while the work environment has an 8.88% impact. Together, motivation and the work environment influence teaching staff performance by 37.6%. The recommendations of this study emphasize the importance of meeting the need for security, as the institution has not provided sufficient future guarantees for the teaching staff. One solution is to offer retirement programs or old-age benefits. Additionally, there is a noted lack of social interaction among teaching staff, which should be improved to support their social needs. The combination of motivation and work environment contributes 37.6% to teaching staff performance, and improvements can be made by enhancing future security and increasing social interaction among the staff.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji jumlah penduduk, PDRB, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) dan Pengangguran terhadap kemiskinan yang terjadi di Kabupaten Nias dan Kabupaten Nias Selatan di Kepulauan Nias tahun 2012 - 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel dari kedua wilayah dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Informasi diperoleh dari data sekunder yaitu Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), kemudian data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi data yaitu gabungan time series dan cross section selama 8 tahun dan diolah menggunakan bantuan software E - Views 10. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1. Jumlah penduduk berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemiskinan. 2. PDRB berpengaruh negatif terhadap kemiskinan, 3.IPM tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemiskinan. 4. Banyaknya pengangguran tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemiskinan karena pengangguran tidak selalu menunjukkan tinggi rendahnya tingkat kemiskinan di kedua wilayah tersebut
