Abstract

There are three methods that can be used to implement the Fuzzy Inference System (FIS), namely Tsukamoto, Mandani and Sugeno. Each of the three methods has its own characteristics and advantages. Several third studies used this method to compare the efficiency level of different cases. This study also aims to see the most efficient method by comparing the two FIS methods, namely Tsukamoto and Sugeno, based on medical cases from previous studies that have tested the validity of the results from pulmonary specialists. The data used are the same data as previous studies, namely regarding the diagnosis of pneumonia. The analytical method used is Mean Absolute Percantage Error (MAPE) to get the accuracy value of how close a measurement result is to the actual number. Based on the cases tested, the key from the Sugeno method resulted in a smaller MAPE than Tsukamoto, namely 3.15%, which means that the Sugeno method results closer to the pneumonia score/actual value.

Abstract

Missing values or incomplete data are frequently encountered in medical records. These issues will be a serious problem if the data must be provided completely for analysis. The research aimed to prove the performance of the Fuzzy Subtractive Clustering (FSC) and Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) methods for solving imputation problems. Both methods were implemented using medical data. It had been conducted using K-Means as a crisp clustering approach for imputation. In the research, fuzzy clustering—a distinct methodology—was applied. The primary research contribution was the suggested fuzzy logic imputation method, which took uncertainty under consideration. The data sample consisted of patients who were at least 40 years old and had a history of hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, or chronic kidney disease. The test was carried out by taking random portions of data from the entire medical record. The randomization technique used a probability of 10%–50%. The results of the ANOVA test show that the p-value is greater than ∝(=0.05). It means that the imputed value does not differ from the original value, whether implemented in the FSC or FCM method. The algorithm’s performance is evaluated using the Pearson correlation coefficient. According to the t-test results, the FCM method has a higher correlation coefficient than the FSC method. It implies that FCM is superior to FSC.

Abstract

Sexual violence is a significant and increasing issue in Indonesia, with severe impacts on the physical health, psychological well-being, and overall welfare of victims. On campuses, these incidents often remain unreported due to factors such as shame, fear, and the absence of secure reporting mechanisms. Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) has established a Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) and implemented specific regulations to address these issues. This research aims to develop a location-based reporting application for sexual violence incidents within the UII campus. The Android application utilizes technologies such as Global Positioning System (GPS), Google Maps API, Geolocation API, and Firebase to enable real-time incident reporting. Users can report incidents by providing identification, location data, and video evidence, which supports investigations by the PPKS Task Force at UII. The results demonstrate that the application is effective as a reporting medium for sexual violence on campus. The integration of GPS, Google Maps API, and Geolocation API facilitates efficient geographic positioning, while Firebase is employed as a backend solution for secure and organized data storage and management, allowing rapid access by the PPKS Task Force. This application enables the PPKS Task Force to monitor and respond to reports promptly, enhancing the safety and confidence of victims. Therefore, the application is anticipated to become an essential tool in the prevention and management of sexual violence at UII.

Abstract

Family Planning (FP) is a crucial initiative in enhancing the quality of life and health of mothers and children. However, selecting the appropriate contraceptive method remains a significant challenge for many couples of reproductive age. This study proposes the development of a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) that integrates the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) at Zahra Harapan Bunda Clinic. The system aims to provide accurate recommendations for selecting contraceptive methods, record data, monitor users, and remind acceptors of consultation schedules. The results indicate that the SAW method is more consistent and aligns more closely with expert recommendations compared to TOPSIS, with a higher conformity percentage ranging from 66.25% to 92.5%. In contrast, TOPSIS showed a lower conformity percentage, ranging from 25.89% to 78.03%. These findings suggest that SAW more accurately reflects expert recommendations and is therefore considered more effective for selecting contraceptive methods. The study recommends the use of the SAW method for decision-making in contraceptive method selection and suggests further research to expand and validate this approach in a broader range of applications.

Abstract

The characterization of the EM emissions for electronic products is crucial to ensure that the emissions have met the requirements of the EMC standards. For this, a more comprehensive testing is required to get more meaningful results. While, the emergence of non-stationary emissions is a challenge to obtain valid analysis results. So far, non-stationary EM emissions is not considered and treated properly in the emission analysis. This paper presents a new method for the analysis of EM emissions from electronic devices as a case study by testing three different program modes (scenarios) of Intel Galileo board. These program modes were designed to vary processing intensity in its memory and processor. A comparison was also made between the actual situation (the presence of non-stationary signals) and the hypothetical situation with the assumption that all emissions were stationary. As a result, a significant difference was observed when the analysis considered the real scenario of a non-stationary emission. The ratio between the average autocorrelation using the proposed algorithm and the average correlation by ignoring the non-stationarity of the emission signal was 113.6 times. The study concludes that different program modes produce the different characteristics of EM emissions, making some of them non-stationary. Hence, we strongly suggest the consideration of the non-stationarity of the EM emissions in characterizing complex electronic devices.

Abstract

The rising prevalence of sexual violence in higher education institutions demands urgent attention, highlighting the need for an efficient and responsive reporting system. Android-based applications for reporting sexual violence play a vital role in addressing this issue. This research proposes an application designed to provide ease of access and usability, enabling victims or witnesses to promptly submit reports supported by video, audio, and real-time GPS data. Such empirical evidence increases the likelihood of successful follow-up actions and strengthens legal claims against perpetrators. Timely responses are especially critical for the Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (PPKS) to mobilize campus security teams effectively and reduce long-term trauma experienced by victims. An integral component of the application is a Decision Support System (DSS) that utilizes the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to assess the severity of reported cases—categorized into mild, moderate, or severe. This system facilitates faster and more accurate decision-making during the investigation and handling phases. Functional and case testing resulted in 100% success, aligning perfectly with manual calculations and real-world scenarios. The urgency of this research lies in the pressing need for a reporting system that is not only reactive but also proactive in preventing sexual violence. The application demonstrates strong potential to support systemic reform in campus reporting mechanisms, enhance victim trust in reporting processes, and shift the paradigm from reactive intervention to preventive action. Ultimately, this research contributes to building a safer, more responsive, and survivor-centered campus environment.

Abstract

The challenge of selecting skincare products that match individual skin conditions often leads to confusion among users, especially due to the vast array of products available on the market. This study aims to assist users in choosing the most suitable local skincare products based on several criteria: skin concerns, skin type, price range, number of items in a set, and sales ratings. The method used is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) technique, which calculates the suitability level of each product alternative against the defined criteria to generate a ranked list of the most appropriate products. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, which emphasizes rapid prototyping and iterative implementation. It was built as a web-based application using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 5. Skincare product data were collected through web scraping from the Shopee platform, including information such as price, set completeness, and sales ratings. All data were verified for validity using BPOM certification and halal labels. The results of the study indicate that the decision support system can recommend up to three top local skincare products tailored to user preferences, complete with pricing, images, and brief descriptions—without displaying numeric scores. Functional testing confirmed that all features operated correctly, and a User Acceptance Test (UAT) yielded an average satisfaction score of 94%, indicating strong user acceptance. In conclusion, this system serves as a valuable digital tool to accelerate decision-making in skincare selection, reduce the risk of product mismatch, and improve both the efficiency and adoption potential of local skincare products based on user preferences in an online environment.
