Abstract

Vandalism is an act of destruction of an item or thing, reducing both the aesthetic and the value of information it contains. The library of Tulungagung area was not spared by the vandalism. Preying on library materials, including scribbles, obeying, folding, underlining, to mark with a dye. The purpose of this research is to find out the role librarians play in the destruction of library materials and the obstacles the librarian faces in preventing library material from being vandalized. The study USES a descriptive qualitative approach. Data retrieval is made through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study is that librarians have undertaken a wide range of efforts such as socialization, supervision, reprimand, CCTV installation, to a coordinated effort to further the destruction of library materials. But of the many roles that librarians have, there are barriers to addressing these issues, the absence of sanctions, the lack of electronic security, the youth of youth, the lack of supervision, the lack of socialization, to the lack of update awareness.Keywords: vandalism, library, library materialABSTRAKVandalisme merupakan aksi perusakan terhadap suatu barang atau benda sehingga mengurangi nilai estetika maupun nilai informasi yang terdapat di dalamnya. Perpustakaan Daerah Tulungagung tidak luput dari aksi perusakan tersebut. Menyasar pada bahan pustaka, meliputi pencoretan, perobekan, melipat, menggaris bawahi, hingga menandai menggunakan pewarna. Tujuan dari adanya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran yang dilakukan pustakawan dalam menghadapi vandalisme bahan pustaka dan kendala yang di hadapi pustakawan dalam mencegah terjadinya vandalisme bahan pustaka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pustakawan sudah melakukan berbagai macam upaya seperti sosialisasi, pengawasan, teguran, pemasangan CCTV, hingga preservasi untuk menindaklanjuti terjadinya vandalisme bahan pustaka. Namun dari sekian banyaknya peran yang sudah dilakukan pustakawan, terdapat beberapa kendala dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut di antaranya, tidak adanya sanksi, tidak adanya pengamanan elektronik, usia pemustaka, kurangnya pengawasan, kurangnya sosialisasi hingga kurangnya kesadaran pemustaka.

Abstract

Interest in visiting the public at the Trenggalek regional library is still relatively low. One of the important factors that can increase the interest in visiting and the comfort of the community is interior design. This study aims to determine the role of interior library design in increasing user interest in visiting and knowing the condition of the library based on the elements of interior library design. This study uses a qualitative method with purposive sampling technique as a way of searching for informants. The informants in this study consisted of 3 informants, namely 2 users who had visited the Trenggalek regional library before and before, and 1 librarian. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The presentation of the research is done in the form of a narrative text. The results of this study indicate that the interior design of the Trenggalek regional library has a good influence on efforts to increase public interest in visiting. There are several elements that have been implemented well, including layout, color, and lighting. However, there are still unsatisfactory elements, namely air circulation and sound system. This is due to the small number of fans, the absence of air conditioning, and a whispering sound is still heard. The interior design of the Trenggalek regional library is not optimal due to the limited cost of building a library. Meanwhile, several factors in the interest of visiting are service, infrastructure, attractiveness of the place, and security.

Abstract

Film merupakan suatu media representasi untuk menggambarkan sesuatu termasuk perpustakaan. Representasi perpustakaan dalam media seperti film menjadi penting untuk dapat mengetahui konsep perpustakaan yang berada dalam pikiran masyarakat. Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang representasi perpustakaan dan pustakawan dalam film serial animasi Upin dan Ipin “Aku Sebuah Buku”. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis semiotik teori Charles Sanders Peirce yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi perpustakaan dan pustakawan yang ada dalam film dengan menggunakan prinsip realitas dan representasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perpustakaan digambarkan sebagai tempat yang ramai dengan berbagai macam jenis pengunjung. Sedangkan pustakawan digambarkan sebagai seorang laki-laki yang memiliki sifat pemarah dan emosional ketika melihat buku diletakkan tidak pada tempatnya, namun tetap bersikap ramah saat melayani pengunjung dengan menggunakan sistem yang masih konvensional.

Abstract

The development of technology makes information very needed as well as the library which can be categorized as a gathering place for information. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the library's performance is not optimal. The purpose of the study was to determine the existence of libraries in the new normal era and the strategies used by librarians in maintaining their existence and increasing interest in visiting the Tulungagung Regional Library. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method. The informants used in this study were the head of the library, librarians, and users. The results showed that the existence of the Tulungagung Regional Library was quite good even though there were still shortcomings because the procurement of books had decreased. However, the library also opens an ebook application service and an online storytelling program for children called DoReMi in collaboration with several institutions. The condition of the library building is also still lacking, but the role of the librarian is quite good. Interest in visiting the library has also decreased, but public enthusiasm for visiting the library remains high. The strategies taken by librarians are not many, they are only able to adapt, implement and maximize existing services, create an online storytelling program for children called DoReMi and ebook applications, enforce improvised regulations and intensify online promotions and outreach to the public. This is because the Tulungagung Regional Library is still hindered by government regulations.

Abstract

Literacy is one aspect as a basic ability that must be possessed by someone, not only in educational institutions but in broad community forums. A person's literacy ability will make it easier for someone to understand and receive information. The aims of this study are: 1) To analyze the role of teachers in utilizing the reading corner program at MI Mansyaul Huda Gunungsari Bojonegoro. 2) To analyse the supporting and inhibiting factors of the reading corner program at MI Mansyaul Huda Gunungsari Bojonegoro. This research approach uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis used the Miles and Hubberman method. The results of this study indicate that through the Reading Corner Program implemented by MI Mansyaul Huda Gunungsari Bojonegoro, there are several identified teacher roles in improving students' literacy skills, namely the teacher being a facilitator and evaluator, the teacher being the person in charge of providing understanding, and the teacher encouraging students' literacy skills, through learning activities or the available Reading Corner Program. Supporting and inhibiting factors in this study, namely the first supporting factors, namely facilities, school culture, and community encouragement. Factors inhibiting student interest in learning and an environment that is not conducive. Supporting or inhibiting factors are important for teachers or educational institutions to identify, especially as a form of evaluation so that the learning carried out can run even better.

Abstract

The need for information in efforts to develop micro, small and medium enterprises encourages information seeking behavior among MSME business actors. This research aims to determine the information seeking behavior by MSME business actors in the Serang village area, Panggungrejo subdistrict, Blitar district to meet information needs for business development, as well as to find out the obstacles faced by MSME business actors in finding information and how to overcome them. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were open interviews with 6 informants, observation and study of literature. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that there are eight stages of information seeking behavior carried out by coffee and chips MSME business actors, including starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, extracting, verifying, and ending. The information they get is from articles or journals, social media, friends, relatives, and training. Meanwhile, the obstacle faced is that there are some people who do not want to share the information they have. To overcome this obstacle, there are two things that can be done, namely by looking for other sources of information and inviting the person to have frequent discussions and be good friends so that they themselves provide the information needed.

Abstract

In the current era, getting information is very easy with the support of updated information technology or new media. The existence of new media has given rise to various innovations, one of which is the dissemination of information. In information dissemination activities, the main thing that must be present is the media for dissemination and the events that are broadcast, for example podcasts. Currently, podcasts are very popular with Gen Z. Because of the large number of podcast fans, the Blitar Regency Library and Archives Service has also adopted this activity to become a new innovation in disseminating information in libraries. The aim of this research is to determine the dissemination of information through whispered literacy podcasts at the Blitar Regency Library and Archives Service and to determine the barriers to information dissemination at the Blitar Regency Library and Archives Service. This research uses a qualitative type of research using a phenomenological approach. Researchers collected data using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using Miles and Huberman analysis in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the whispered literacy podcast has a schedule once a week with a scheduled host and resource person. The target of this Podcast is from ages 13+ or Gen Z. The media used are Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and websites. The obstacles that occur in this podcast activity consist of internal obstacles in the form of a lack of human resources, time and funds, while external obstacles include the difficulty of adjusting time between agencies and resource persons.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi pada anak usia dini berkontribusi terhadap kesuksesan anak di masa mendatang. Kemampuan ini menjadi salah satu pondasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan lainnya seperti kemampuan bahasa, kognitif, dan sosial. Namun, kemampuan literasi pada anak masih rendah. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan literasi anak usia dini adalah dengan mengoptimalkan pojok baca di lingkungan pendidikan anak usia dini. Pojok baca merupakan area yang didesain khusus untuk mendorong anak berinteraksi dengan buku secara mandiri maupun dengan pendampingan pendidik atau orang tua. Namun, dalam implementasinya, pojok baca di berbagai satuan pendidikan masih menghadapi kendala. Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat ditemukan model optimalisasi pojok baca yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi anak usia dini, Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci.  Hasil dari penelitian tersebut, peneliti menemukan beberapa strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengoptimalkan pojok baca untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi anak usia dini yaitu desain pojok baca yang menarik, pemilihan buku yang sesuai dengan minat dan usia anak, pendekatan interaktif, dukungan pendidik dan orangtua, mengaitkan pojok baca dengan aktivitas nyata,  serta memberikan penghargaan.

Abstract

Publikasi ilmiah yang terindeks di jurnal internasional seperti scopus merupakan indikator penting untuk menilai kontribusi perguruan tinggi terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan reputasi global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis publikasi civitas akademik UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung yang terindeks scopus selama periode 2020-2024. Analisis mencakup perkembangan jumlah publikasi, identifikasi penulis paling produktif, karya dengan sitasi tertinggi, topik yang sering dibahas, tingkat dan pola kolaborasi, serta tingkat produktivitas penulis berdasarkan hukum Lotka. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis bibliometrik menggunakan biblioshiny. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama periode tersebut terdapat 185 publikasi terindeks scopus, di mana 84,32% (156) merupakan hasil kolaborasi, termasuk kolaborasi internasional. Produktivitas tertinggi tercatat pada tahun 2020 dengan 44 publikasi. Penulis paling produktif adalah Susanto dengan 28 publikasi, sedangkan karya dengan sitasi tertinggi ditulis oleh Iffatin Nur dengan 26 kutipan. "Human" merupakan istilah yang sering dikaji. Data produktivitas penulis yang dianalisis dengan hukum Lotka menunjukkan adanya kesesuaian, karena Dmaks<nilai kritis (0,0046<0,1257). Sehingga H0 dalam penelitian ini diterima, artinya produktivitas penulis yang diamati sesuai dengan hukum Lotka. Persentase penulis yang menghasilkan satu publikasi menurut Lotka adalah 54,50%, sedangkan berdasarkan hasil pengamatan 55,55%. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pengembangan strategi publikasi yang lebih efektif di lingkungan akademis yang diteliti.

Abstract

The urgency of this research lies in how the fulfillment of information needs can contribute to improving the quality of cultivated plants. This study aims to examine the fulfillment of information needs by ornamental plant farmers, focusing on the Indonesian Orchid Association community in Tulungagung Regency. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, through data collection techniques, namely observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out with the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that farmers’ information needs are divided into four categories: up-to-date, daily, in-depth, and concise and complete information needs. The media used by ornamental plant farmers, especially orchids, to obtain information include books, social media, YouTube channels, direct discussions in the community, and exchanging ideas with more senior farmers. The choice of media depends on individual preferences and needs, with a strong tendency towards digital media due to ease of access and completeness of information. Farmers are selective about information, by verifying and cross-checking the sources used. The information obtained has been shown to contribute to increasing cultivation efficiency, such as accelerating the growth and flowering of orchid plants. However, there are still obstacles faced by farmers, both internally such as limitations in understanding information, and externally such as limited access to technology and time. These findings are expected to be the basis for formulating strategies to meet relevant and effective information needs for ornamental plant farmers in the digital era.
