Abstract

Handling drug trafficking in rural areas is a serious challenge in Indonesia, especially in villages classified as "red zones". Ringinarum Village, Kendal Regency, is a clear example of a village that faces a significant drug threat. This research aims to analyze in depth the strategy for implementing the Bersinar Village Program in dealing with villages that fall into the red zone category, with a special focus on Ringinarum Village. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, this research evaluates the effectiveness of the Bersinar Village Program in increasing community awareness and participation in rehabilitation efforts. The research results show that this program has succeeded in increasing public awareness of the importance of drug treatment, as well as increasing their active participation in rehabilitation programs. Collaboration between the Kendal Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and village officials is the key to success, with the vital role of village officials as the main driver. This research confirms the importance of adapting programs to local contexts for higher effectiveness in dealing with drugs in rural areas.

Abstract

Mental health is an important component of community well-being that is sometimes overlooked, especially in rural areas such as Ringinarum Sub-district, Kendal District. This report focuses on people with mental disorders (ODGJ) in the area who face various barriers, including social, economic, and access to mental health services. Based on observations and analysis, economic and social variables have a significant influence on the high frequency of mental disorders, where poverty, social stigma, and lack of support from family and community exacerbate the condition of ODGJ. This study intends to provide greater knowledge of the needs and steps that need to be taken in addressing mental health in Kecamatan Ringinarum, with data-driven suggestions to improve mental health services and de-stigmatize sufferers.

Abstract

The Qur'an states that human beings were created with a duty to prosper the earth; one of which is by preserving the environment and reforestation. This study aims to unveil the hadiths on reforestation by employing the Maqāṣid SharÄ«”˜ah approach of YÅ«suf al-QaraḍāwÄ«. This paper is a qualitative study with content analysis and descriptive-analytical approaches. This study found that the hadiths about the recommendation for plantation and reforestation must be interpreted generally, not restricted to certain conditions. Thus the command for reforestation applies in general, not limited to certain conditions and places. Reforestation must be carried out anywhere and anytime until the end of the day. While the proper meaning of the hadith, which contains the threat of hell for cutting down the Bidara tree, is that such a threat is addressed or people who cut down the tree in open space where it serves as a shelter for travellers and animal habitats. In addition, the hadith should also be understood to a more general meaning, particularly for the Bidara tree and all trees with the same function as shelters.

Abstract

One of the critical debates in the philosophical tradition is about existence and essence. The question that arises from this problem is which of the two is more principle or fundamental. Some Muslim philosophers have different points of view regarding this. This article aims to reveal Mullā Ṣadrā's thoughts on the fundamentality of existence. This study is qualitative research with a descriptive and analytical approach. The data were collected from library research. This study found that, in Mullā Ṣadrā’s viewpoint, existence is more fundamental than essence as it causes essence to exist. Mullā Ṣadrā's view leads to the solving of many philosophical problems, such as the problem of causality, Tawhid, the impossibility of the concept of predestination, and dualism, for instance, heaven and hell, world and hereafter, Khaliq and creature, God and universe, material and non-material, transcendent and immanent   Salah satu perdebatan serius dalam tradisi filsafat adalah tentang eksistensi dan esensi.

Abstract

Puritan Muslims disapprove of the syncretic architecture of the Menara Kudus Mosque; however, the early Muslim saints spreading Islam in Java adopted this Hindu-Buddhist architectural style as a sign of cultural acceptance and continuity. This study aims to explore the symbolic meanings of the syncretic architecture of the Menara Kudus Mosque built by Sunan Kudus. This qualitative study employs the symbolic interaction theory of Joel M. Charon and George Ritzer, supplemented by the comparative method to unveil the similarities and differences in functions and structures between the Menara Kudus Mosque and Hindu-Buddhist temples and their inherent symbolism can be understood. The study found that Sunan Kudus chose this unique architectural style to promote inclusive and tolerant behavior through a theological-imaginative dialogue process to create social harmony. Such an attitude reflects Sufistic tawḥīd teachings combined with a deep understanding and respect for the local cultures.

Abstract

Sufism and ṭarīqa are often associated with awful and negative stigmas for generating laziness, stagnancy, and surrender to misery. Sheikh Fathurahman tackles these assumptions through the teachings of the Idrisiyya Order. This study is qualitative based research. The primary data were collected from books by Sheikh Fathurahman and his lectures uploaded on Youtube, observations, Focus Group Discussions, and direct and indirect interviews. This study found that Sufi revivalism, as initiated by Sheikh Fathurahman, has led to a positive movement. The presence of the ṭarīqa, especially the Idrisiyya Order, amid society has contributed to crucial social changes and innovations in some sectors, such as economics, education, and other social programs. Contribution: This study will give a new insight into the central teaching of taṣawwuf, such as zuhd and tawakkal as reinterpreted by Sheikh Fathurahman under the Idrisiyya Order so that ṭarīqa becomes the locomotive of social change amid Muslim society in Indonesia.
