Abstract

This study aimed to examine the composition of flavonoids and saponins in sheep rations added with multi-nutrient blocks with different levels of papaya leaves (0%, 2%, 4%, and 6%). The research design used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment used was T0: sheep ration added MNB without papaya leaves flour, T1: sheep ration added MNB using 2% papaya leaves flour, T2: sheep ration added MNB using 4% papaya leaves flour, and T3: sheep ration added MNB using 6% papaya leaves flour. The parameters reviewed were flavonoids and saponins. The materials used were sheep ration (forage and concentrate), multi-nutrient blocks and papaya leaves flour. The method used is making complete rations, making MNB, and the analysis stage. The treatment used in the study was a complete ration, consisting of forage and concentrate added with multi-nutrient blocks with papaya leaf levels of 0%, 2%, 4%, and 6%. The results of the study were that sheep ration added MNB with different levels of papaya leaves flour did not show an increase in flavonoids and saponins. The highest flavonoids content was found at sheep ration added MNB using 4% papaya leaves flour while the highest saponin content was found at sheep ration added MNB using 6% papaya leaves flour.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pakan pelengkap multinutrien blok (MNB) terhadap tingkat produktivitas kambing yang tercermin melalui kadar albumin, globulin dan perbandingan A/G dalam serum darah. Penggunaan kambing lokal bertujuan untuk meningkatkan tingkat produktivitas kambing lokal yang dinilai cukup rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di desa Kalisidi, kabupaten Semarang dan analisis serum darah di laboratorium IBL Semarang. Kambing lokal dievaluasi kadar albumin, globulin dan perbandingan A/G di dalam serum darahnya untuk mengetahui apakah pemberian MNB berpengaruh nyata terhadap tingkat produktivitas. 12 ekor kambing lokal dipelihara dalam kandang individu dan dibagi kedalam tiga kelompok berisi 4 ekor berdasarkan bobot badan 17,5 – 20 kg (Kelompok I), 15 – 16,5 kg (Kelompok II), 13,5 – 15 (Kelompok III). Tiap kelompok diberi ransum yang berbeda sesuai dengan kebutuhan tiap kelompok, yang didalamnya diberi perlakuan ransum tanpa MNB (perlakuan I) dan ransum dengan penambahan MNB sebanyak 5, 10, dan 15 gram (perlakuan II, III, dan IV). Sampel darah kambing diambil dan dianalisis untuk mengetahui besar pengaruh kadar albumin, globulin dan perbandingan A/G akibat perlakuan. Data hasil analisis diuji signifikasinya menggunakan ANOVA, apabila hasilnya berbeda nyata maka akan diuji lebih lanjut dengan uji Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (MRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian level MNB dengan jumlah yang berbeda (0, 5, 10 dan 15 g) tidak berpengaruh nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap kadar albumin, globulin dan perbandingan A/G dalam serum darah kambing lokal. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian MNB tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap produktivitas ternak tercermin melalui tingkat kecernaan (albumin) dan peningkatan kesehatan (globulin).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kandungan mineral Ca, P, Mg, Cu, Zn kombinasi antara tepung cangkang kerang darah tepung cangkang telur sebagai bahan baku pembuatan Multinutrien blok (MNB). Materi yang digunakan terdiri dari bahan pakan penyusun MNB yaitu cangkang kerang, cangkang telur, hijauan jagung, molases, urea, garam dan bentonit. Parameter yang diamati yaitu kandungan mineral Ca, P, Mg, Cu, Zn yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode Spektofotometri Serapan Atom (SSA). Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakukan dan 4 ulangan yaitu T0 (MNB tanpa kombinasi cangkang kerang dan cangkang telur), T1 (MNB dengan kombinasi cangkang kerang 6%), T2 (MNB dengan kombinasi cangkang telur 6%), dan T3 (MNB dengan kombinasi cangkang kerang 3% dan cangkang telur 3%). Analisis data menggunakan uji ANOVA taraf signifikasi 5% untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh perlakuan. Apabila terdapat pengaruh perlakuan, maka dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan cangkang kerang dan cangkang telur di dalam MNB mampu meningkatkan kandungan mineral Ca, P, Mg dan Cu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan cangkang kerang dan cangkang telur dalam MNB mampu mencukupi kebutuhan mineral Ca, P, Mg dan Cu namun belum mampu mencukupi kebutuhan mineral Zn kambing lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sifat fisikokimia pada dendeng sapi setelah dilakukan perendaman dengan gula kelapa dan madu. Penelitian ini terdiri atas 4 perlakuan variasi konsentrasi gula kelapa dan madu, yaitu: 30:0%, 22,5:7,5%, 15:15%, 7,5:22,5%. Kadar fruktosa, glukosa, kadar air, aktivitas air diamati pada dendeng hasil perlakuan. Data dianalisis dengan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan proporsi madu dalam larutan perendam dapat secara nyata menurunkan kandungan fruktosa, glukosa, kadar air, aktivitas air pada dendeng sapi. Kesimpulannya, sifat fisikokimia dendeng dapat berubah sesuai dengan proporsi konsentrasi gula kelapa dan madu.The Physico-Chemical Properties of Indonesian Dried Beef Immersed in Palm Sugar and HoneyAbstractThis study is aimed to investigate the physics-chemical aspect of Indonesian dried beef that was immersed in palm sugar and honey. Four ratios of palm sugar and honey were used, i.e. 30:0%, 22.5:7.5%, 15:15%, 7.5:22.5%. The level of fructose, glucose, water content, and water activity were analysed as the dried beef quality. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The results indicated that the elevation in the honey concentration in the ratio of immersion provided significant effect on decrease in fructose and glucose levels, water content, water activity. As conclusion, the ratio of palm sugar and honey might provide the effect on the change of fructose and glucose levels, water content, water activity.•••

Abstract

The aim of the current research was to analyze the population structure and expression of KISS1 gene associated with reproductive traits through Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) level and DNA sequencing analysis based on KISS1 gene. Genotypes of 23 goat does consist of Kacang goats (n=7), Kejobong goats (n=8) and Senduro goats (n=8) were investigated using DNA sequencing, 16 out of 23 samples were synchronized to examine their FSH level using ELISA method. The data were analyzed using MEGA X software for DNA sequences and General Linier Model (GLM) for FSH plasma level. The phylogenetic tree showed the high homology between Indonesian native goats with other species showing a gene conservatism. A significantly higher FSH plasma levels were obtained from Kacang and Kejobong than Senduro goat (P = 0.002), litter size (LS) 3 than LS 1 (P = 0.0175), further CAATGCGCAACGCT haplotype and GA genotype at g.2459 G>A have a higher FSH plasma than other haplotypes and genotypes (P = 0.0027; P<0.0001) and are associated with high LS (3.0±0.18). Neither sample collection times nor parities have different significantly. The current trial indicated that CAATGCGCAACGCT haplotype and GA genotype at g.2459 G>A were correlated with reproductive traits.

Abstract

Water hyacinth is a weed in Rawa Pening because of its rapid growth. A handling effort is a very crucial thing and must be done immediately. This study aims to characterize organic compounds in liquid smoke from dried water hyacinth. ­­­­Characterization of organic compounds from dried water hyacinth was carried out on water hyacinth liquid smoke which was pyrolyzed at 200°C and 600°C. Pyrolysis times were run at 2 hours and 6 hours. Liquid smoke from dried water hyacinth was distilled before testing its chemical composition using GCMS brand Shimadzu type QP 2010S. The results of liquid smoke characterization are used to decide that liquid smoke can be utilized as a food preservative. The test results report that the liquid smoke produced had an acid percentage ranging from 29.63% to 37.23%, phenol from 1.04 to 6.11%, and the remaining carbonyl compounds from 55.99% to 68.90%. The highest component value was obtained at 600°C pyrolysis and 6 hours. The conclusion is that liquid smoke from dried water hyacinth can be used as a food preservative because it contains acid, phenol, and carbonyl and is free of Benzo (a) pyrene, which can cause cancer. So that the requirement for liquid smoke as a preservative can be achieved, whereas acid is a food preservative. This study generates the acquisition of natural food preservatives to utilize weeds. The research helps us utilize weeds to resist the Rawa Pening environment and manufacture food preservatives.

Abstract

Febrile seizures are one of the manifestations of health problems that often occur in children aged three months to 5 years and can potentially cause harmful complications in children. Complications of febrile seizures occur due to a lack of parental skills in providing proper first aid to children with febrile seizures. Health education about febrile seizures is thought to improve parents' skills in performing first aid measures for children with febrile seizures. This study aims to explain the effect of health education about febrile seizures on increasing the skills of mothers in providing first aid to children with febrile seizures.This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-posttest design without a control. The samples involved in this study were mothers with children aged three months - 5 years in Blukon Village, Lumajang District, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria determined by the researchers with a total of 48 people. The intervention applied in this study was providing health education about febrile seizures. Data collection used observation sheets as a checklist for first aid management in children with febrile seizures, carried out before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test with the help of IBM SPSS 25 software.The pre-test results showed that the mean ± SD of the mother's skill in performing first aid for children with febrile seizures was 2.41 ± 0.84. The mean ± SD score of mothers' skills in providing first aid to children with seizures increased after attending health education about febrile seizures to 6.47 ± 0.68. The results of data analysis showed that the provision of health education about febrile seizures had a significant effect on increasing the skills of mothers in performing first aid for children with febrile seizures with a ρ-value = 0.000 or less than 0.05.In controlling patterns of delivering health education about febrile seizures, this research calls for increased effort and assistance from local health workers. First aid procedures for children experiencing febrile seizures will become more instinctive or skillful when understanding is followed by frequent demonstrations. .

Abstract

(The effect of supplementation and protection of kapok seed oil on in vitro ruminal fermentability of elephant grass)ABSTRACT. The purpose of this research was to study the interaction between supplementation and protection of kapok seed oil (KSO) influence on in vitro digestibility and ruminal fermentability products of elephant grass. Material used were elephant grass, kapok seed oil, KOH and CaCl2 reagens and cattle rumen fluids. Completely randomized design (CRD) was used with two factorial pattern 3 x 5 with 2 replications, first factor was supplementation of KSO consist of 3 levels: 5% (S1); 10% (S2); and 15% (S3), respectively. Second factor was protection consist of 5 levels: 0% (P0); 25% (P1); 50% (P2); 75% (P3) and 100% (P4); also control treatment without supplementation and protection of KSO (S0P0). The result of this research showed there was no interaction between supplementation and protection of KSO on digestibility of elephant grass. The highest In vitro Dry Matter Digestibility (IVDMD) and In vitro Digestibility of Organic Material (IVDOM) reached by control treatment, 55,17% and 54,27%, respectively. The results of this research showed influence of interaction between supplementation and protection of KSO on VFA and NH3 production (P0.05). The highest VFA and NH3 production reached by 10% supplementation and 25% protection were 152,5 and 6,50 mM. The conclusion of this study showed that supplementation and protection of KSO was not effecting ruminal fermentation, but decreasing in vitro digestibility of elephant grass.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis proses difusi adopsi inovasi rice transplanter serta pengaruh karakteristik inovasi pada kecepatan proses adopsi di Kelompok Tani Sumber Makmur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pemilihan lokasi secara purposive di Kelompok Tani Sumber Makmur. Informan dipilih secara purposive dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Validitas data dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses difusi rice transplanter terjadi dalam kurun waktu yang cepat dengan diikuti empat elemen yaitu inovasi, saluran komunikasi, waktu, dan sistem sosial. Inovasi rice transplanter itu sendiri, disalurkan dengan program pelatihan melalui studi banding ke Unit Pengelola Jasa Alsintan pada tahun 2016, dan dilaksanakan dengan diikuti oleh perwakilan kelompok tani. Sementara itu proses adopsi terjadi cukup lambat dengan diawali pada tahap menyadari kemudian dilanjutkan tahap berminat yang ditandai dengan adanya ketertarikan petani untuk mempelajari mesin melalui studi banding. Tahap menilai kemudian menjadi tahap dimana petani mengevaluasi mesin terkait keunggulan dan kelemahan yang kemudian menghantarkan petani pada tahap mencoba untuk mengonfirmasi hal-hal yang telah dipelajari sebelumnya. Percobaan menjadi tahap sebelum petani memutuskan akan mengadopsi atau menolak inovasi. Karakteristik rice transplanter yang rumit menjadi alasan sebagian besar petani menolak inovasi. Keunggulan dari segi waktu penanaman yang singkat tidak sebanding dengan persiapan bibit dan kesulitan mobilisasi mesin pada lahan berundak dan sempit milik sebagian besar petani sehingga petani lebih memilih metode tanam manual alih-alih menggunakan rice transplanter.

Abstract

This research is motivated by concerns about the decline in communication quality and character values among youth due to the use of slang language that does not adhere to proper linguistic norms, particularly through the widespread use of social media. The aim of this study is to examine the influence of slang language used on social media on the development of character values among female students at STITMA Yogyakarta, as well as to explore their perspectives on this phenomenon in daily life. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The population consists of fourth- and sixth-semester female students from the Islamic Education (PAI) and Arabic Education (PBA) programs, with a sample of 75 students selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. The data were analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing through the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results show that the calculated r-value of 0.967 is greater than the critical r-value of 0.2272, indicating a significant and positive influence between the use of slang language and character values. Thus, slang language is proven to impact the character development of female students in today’s digital era.
