Abstract

Background: to find out the techniques that are often used in supporting the winning factor for the competition in the pencak silat sport category. Methods: The method in this study uses a descriptive non-experimental design. Data collection using video analysis via the internet sourced from YouTube, by being analyzed by five people and conducting video validation and data validation. Results: The results showed that the first video resulted in dominant kicks with a total of 12 kicks, the second video with a total of 6 kicks, the third video received a total of 11 kicks and in the fourth video a total of 8 kicks were obtained. Conclusions: Sport is a good physical exercise to maintain health and improve physical fitness. Physical fitness is the body's ability to carry out daily activities without feeling fatigue. Physical fitness is a mandatory requirement that must be possessed by an athlete as the initial foundation in achieving an achievement. From the results of these data, it can be concluded that the technique that is often used by athletes and is a determining factor in the victory of athletes in the pencak silat sport category for international championships for different classes for adults is kicks.

Abstract

Background: Basic technique is a skill and a person's ability to move effectively with one goal. The success of carrying out these basic techniques can be seen in the match between the Indonesian Women's Futsal National Team against Macau in the AFC Women's Futsal Championship Cup in Thailand in 2018. The purpose of the research based on this background is to find out (1) Describe the basic playing techniques used in the AFC Women's Futsal Cup match. Championship in 2018 (2) Describes the number of basic techniques used in percent. Methods: By using this type of quantitative research descriptive method, Results: The research results were found as follows: there were four basic techniques used by the Women's National Futsal Team in the 2018 AFC Women's Championship trophy during the match, namely passing, dribbling, shooting, and control Conclusions: The most widely used basic technique is control as much as 41%, passing and dribbling techniques have a fairly thin difference as much as 4% with 28% passing and 24% dribbling. While the basic shooting technique used at least 7%. The details of the basic techniques when viewed in terms of numbers are 1) Passing as many as 371 with 329 inner passes and 42 outer passes. 2) 319 dribbling with 148 first and 171 second. 3) Shooting 93 with 63 live balls and 30 dead balls. 4) Control 540 with the first 281 and 259 second.

Abstract

Health is an investment in the future of a nation as an important indicator of the quality of life. Most child health problems in schools can be prevented by promoting hygiene practices, nutritional status, and physical fitness through proper health education. This community service aims to educate students on personal hygiene, nutritional status, and physical fitness in schools to improve fitness, health status and quality of life. The method employed in this community service activity is the provision of materials accompanied by workshops and school mentoring. This activity is undertaken so that schools can be actively involved in integrating the implementation of educational programs on personal hygiene, nutritional status, and physical fitness. The outcomes of the activities that have been carried out demonstrate that the students and the school show a very good enthusiasm to participate in the whole series of activities from the beginning to the end. The school and students also evaluated that the community services team delivering material on personal cleanliness, nutritional status, and physical fitness were excellent and engaged. Through this activity, students increase their knowledge, build awareness, and learn to comprehend the need to practice personal cleanliness, consume a balanced diet, and engage in daily physical activity to preserve their health and fitness. In addition, students are committed to maintaining cleanliness, dietary habits, and fitness regularly.

Abstract

Kriket merupakan olahraga tim yang masuk dan berkembang di Indonesia sejak 1880-an dimana Jawa Timur menjadi salah satu provinsi dengan pengembangan terpesat di Indonesia yang ditunjukkan melalui permainan kriket modern dan mendapat medali juara 3 six’s di BK PON. Sejak dibentuknya Persatuan Cricket Indonesia (PCI) Jawa Timur, telah banyak hal yang dilakukan untuk menunjang prestasi atlet cricket Jawa Timur di berbagai kompetisi, hanya saja berdasarkan evaluasi 5 tahun ke belakang tidak kunjung berubah posisi utama dalam kompetisi skala Nasional maupun Internasional. Maka diperlukan sebuah penelitian terkait evaluasi kinerja organisasi PCI Jawa Timur yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perancangan kebijakan terkait pembinaan atlet cricket di Jawa Timur yang terdiri dari konteks, input, proses, dan output pembinaan atlet. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 32 orang yang terdiri dari 2 pengurus, 1 pelatih dan 29 atlet. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil dari indikator CIPP yaitu: Context termasuk kategori baik, Input termasuk kategori baik, Process termasuk kategori baik dan Product termasuk kategori tidak baik. Semua yang dilakukan oleh pengurus untuk pembinaan atlet olahraga cricket Jawa Timur di Surabaya dari indikator CIPP sudah berjalan baik kecuali Product perlu peningkatan agar meraih prestasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa diperlukan peningkatan dan perbaikan untuk beberapa komponen seiring waktu dapat berjalan lebih baik dengan perhatian lebih antara lain aspek sosialisasi terhadap masyarakat agar lebih mengenal kriket, diadakannya event internal untuk melatih mental dan teknik atlet yang berguna ketika menghadapi kejuaraan dan penambahan serta perawatan untuk sarana prasarana serta adanya pembuatan periodisasi baik rencana program hingga pendanaan

Abstract

Studi menyebutkan bahwa bahwa prestasi akademik selama menempuh pendidikan di perguruan tinggi berkaitan dengan keberhasilan seseorang di masa depan. Namun, banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi, salah satunya yaitu gaya hidup yang berhubungan dengan kesehatan, termasuk aktivitas sedenter. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi hubungan antara aktivitas sedenter dengan prestasi akademik siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel merupakan mahasiswa S1 jurusan olahraga yang berjumlah 377 responden. Aktivitas sedenter diukur menggunakan Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire. Data dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara faktor sosio-demografis dan aktivitas sedenter dengan prestasi akademik pada mahasiswa. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gender, tahun di universitas, tempat tinggal, durasi tidur, aktivitas screen-time dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK). Namun, aktivitas fisik diketahui tidak berkaitan dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

Kabaddi is a sport that originated in India. It is the only combat sport in which an individual attacker faces a group of defenders. Kabaddi first became known to the Indonesian public in 2008. Since then, Kabaddi has grown increasingly popular and developed in Indonesia. To achieve success and high performance in Kabaddi, good physical fitness is essential. Therefore, it is important for coaches to use effective training methods to improve the performance of Kabaddi athletes. PON XX1 Aceh - North Sumatra 2024 is a prestigious national event held every four years and serves as a benchmark to assess the development and achievements of each sport in each province. At PON XX1 Aceh – North Sumatra 2024, the East Java Kabaddi team won two bronze medals. This study aims to examine and evaluate the effectiveness of the training methods used by the East Java Kabaddi team in their preparation and performance for PON XX1 Aceh – North Sumatra 2024. The research method employed was a qualitative biographical approach, with the main subject being Abraham Johns Evangelista, who won two bronze medals in the Seven For Five and National Style categories. The training program consisted of nine weekly sessions, each lasting 90–120 minutes, over a period of three months. The results showed several shortcomings in the training methods used by the East Java team. However, despite these issues, this structured and comprehensive training approach enabled the East Java Kabaddi team to secure two bronze medals. This article discusses the importance of appropriate training methods for achieving success and offers recommendations for further developing the training program to attain success in future Kabaddi competitions.

Abstract

Sports development programs in higher education institutions have distinct characteristics compared to professional clubs or training centers, thus requiring systematic and contextual program evaluation. The Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) Student Activity Unit at Universitas Negeri Surabaya plays a strategic role in developing students’ achievements in pencak silat. However, the effectiveness of the implemented training program needs to be examined empirically to ensure program quality and sustainability. This study aimed to evaluate the pencak silat training development program of the PSHT Student Activity Unit at Universitas Negeri Surabaya using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). A descriptive evaluative approach was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 30 athletes, one coach, and one student organization leader as key informants, and were complemented by interviews. Quantitative descriptive analysis was applied to questionnaire data and reinforced by qualitative analysis of interview results. The findings indicate that, overall, the PSHT training development program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya was categorized as very good. The context and process components achieved very good ratings, reflecting clear program objectives and effective training implementation. Meanwhile, the input and product components were rated as good, indicating that resources and performance outcomes supported the program, although further optimization is required. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the CIPP model as an evaluation tool for sports development programs in higher education settings.

Abstract

Abstrak Shorinji Kempo, seni bela diri Jepang, telah memperoleh popularitas yang signifikan di Indonesia melalui organisasi Persaudaraan Shorinji Kempo Indonesia (PERKEMI). Untuk meningkatkan prestasi di ajang nasional, seperti Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa Nasional (POMNAS), para atlet harus menjalani latihan yang terfokus. Pada POMNAS XVIII 2023 di Banjarmasin, tim Shorinji Kempo Jawa Timur berhasil membawa satu medali emas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi metode latihan yang efektif yang digunakan untuk mempersiapkan atlet meraih medali emas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif biografi, dengan subjek utama Prayogie Al Dino, peraih medali emas dalam kategori Randori 55 kg putra. Metode latihan tersebut mencakup empat sesi mingguan, masing-masing berlangsung selama 300 menit, selama periode tiga bulan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa program latihan yang terstruktur dan komprehensif, di samping dukungan pelatih dan kondisi fisik yang optimal, memainkan peran penting dalam mencapai keberhasilan. Artikel ini membahas pentingnya metode pelatihan yang sistematis dan progresif, memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut dari program latihan tersebut untuk mencapai keberhasilan di masa mendatang dalam kompetisi Shorinji Kempo.
