Abstract

In this article a brief explanation of what Extensive Reading is presented. The article starts by presenting the common idea of what Extensive Reading is. Then the possible advantages and obstacles of it are also presented as well as the previous study related. Then, the origin of pedagogic competence stated in line with the implementation of how to apply the Extensive Reading in the teaching and learning process are also detailed in the end of this article.  Keywords: Extensive Reading, Pedagogic Competence

Abstract

Digitalization of the economy is an important aspect to be integrated in the business world, especially UMKM, to improve their competitiveness. This qualitative study aims to reveal the importance of implementing technology in the small business sector so that it can grow. This research uses a qualitative method of literature study in which we review several previous studies. The results of this study show that the factors that can improve economic competitiveness are the utilization of technology such as implementing digital marketing that we can access through e-commerce, and technology training, as well as fostering self-awareness to love domestic products. Following up on the findings in this study, optimizing the application of technology in business activities is very important and must be encouraged, so that the small UMKM sector is not left behind and can compete with the business sector above it.

Abstract

Olahraga menempati salah satu kedudukan terpenting dalam kehidupan manusia untuk menjaga tubuh tetap sehat dan bugar. Dalam dunia modern ini, olahraga menjadi sebuah kebutuhkan bagi manusia. Seperti halnya pada program kegiatan di Ponpes (Pondok Pesantren) Miftahul “Ula” di desa Nglawak Kertosono-Nganjuk selaku Mitra PKM, olahraga merupakan bagian dari aktivitas untuk mengimbangi kegiatan-kegiatan selain kegiatan keagamaan dan pelajaran sekolah. Ponpes Miftahul “Ula” Nglawak merupakan salah satu pesantren yang mempunyai komitmen besar dalam pengembangan kemandirian karakter bagi santrinya, dan olahraga bagian untuk menjaga kestabilan staminanya. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi lapangan, masalah yang dihadapi oleh mitra yaitu; 1) masih kurangnya kegiatan atau aktivitas Jasmani dan olahraga di lingkungan Ponpes, 2) sarana prasasarana olahraga masih belum mencukupi. Solusi dan pendekatan yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi dapat segera teratasi antara lain; 1) aktivitas olahraga dalam hal ini tenis meja sebagai kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan Kesehatan, kamadirian dan karakter, 2) dengan pemberian bantuan peralatan olahraga dapat memberi motivasi bagi siswa atau santri untuk melakukan aktivitas olahraga secara umum dan tenis meja pada khususnya. Target luaran hasil yang akan dicapai pada program pengabdian diantaranya dilakukan para pengasuh secara kontinyu, dan juga pada pihak sekolah, guru, para siswa, serta santri terhadap aktivitas fisik dalam hal ini olahraga tenis meja, karena kegiatan ini belum pernah dilakukan di sekolah mereka.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of intentions to use TikTok continuously on improving students' English speaking skills through the Conversation Analytic Role-Play (CARM) method. This research uses mixed methods, namely combining qualitative research with descriptive methods and quantitative research with experimental methods. The research results show that continued use of TikTok using the CARM method has a positive and significant impact on improving students' English speaking skills, compared to the control class who did not use TikTok. Apart from that, the research results also show that TikTok is seen favorably by students as a tool for learning English. Students feel learning English with TikTok is more fun, easier and effective. This research contributes to the development of innovative and creative English learning by utilizing the social media platform that is popular among generation Z, namely TikTok. This research also provides suggestions for teachers and researchers to further utilize TikTok's potential in English language learning, especially in improving students' speaking skills.

Abstract

Human resource management (HRDM) is a crucial factor in supporting the success of companies in the digital era which is full of rapid change and global competition. Companies are required to not only adapt to technology, but also be able to build strategic and innovation-oriented MSDM systems. This study aims to examine the strategic role of MSDM in PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk in supporting digital transformation and achieving organizational goals. Using a literature study approach, data was obtained from books, scientific journals, company annual reports, and official online sources. The results of the study show that PT Telkom Indonesia manages human resources strategically through various initiatives, such as the Great People Development Program (GPDP), digitization of the Human Capital Management (HCM) system, and strengthening the value-based work culture of "The Telkom Way" which includes Integrity, Enthusiasm, and Totality. This approach has a positive impact on increasing employee engagement, productivity, innovation, and the company's competitiveness in the highly competitive telecommunications industry. In addition, the implementation of digital technologies in HR management, such as the use of analytics platforms for performance measurement and online learning systems, has helped companies in accelerating the internal transformation process. However, challenges such as the digital divide between employees, differences in expectations between generations, and resistance to change are still obstacles that need to be addressed with a more inclusive, adaptive, and employee-well-being-oriented management strategy. This research provides the implication that the integration of technology, organizational culture, and talent development is an important combination in creating a resilient and sustainable HR system. The limitations of the research lie in the literature approach that has not touched the empirical aspect, so it is recommended that there be field studies or in-depth interviews with related parties in the next research to get a more holistic and accurate picture.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) producing fish crackers in Pesisir Village, Besuki District, face several challenges, particularly limited access to computer technology and digital marketing skills. Despite having strong local potential, these MSMEs struggle to promote their products effectively and expand their market reach. This community service program aims to provide assistance based on local potential to enhance the competitiveness of these businesses sustainably. The activities include training in digital marketing strategies, mentoring in the creation of promotional content such as short video reels and digital posters, and facilitating the development of sales networks in regions where the PKM team members reside. The solutions offered are practical and tailored to meet the real needs of MSMEs in improving promotion and efficiency. Preliminary results show an increase in participants’ ability to produce marketing content and the identification of potential distribution partners in several areas. Through a local-potential-based approach and digital technology support, this program is expected to improve the competitiveness, market reach, and ultimately the income of fish cracker MSMEs in a sustainable manner.
