Abstract

The priority issues at Sungai Bakau Besar Laut (SBBL) village are about how to preserve the mangrove ecosystem in line with improving the community's economy. This is also the basis for the consideration of the PKMS Faperta UNU Kalimantan Barat in designing a mangrove ecosystem management program so that the area can have a tourist attraction, be more productive from a cultivation perspective and maintain its sustainability to support the community's economy. The aim of implementing this PKMS is as a stimulus for the people in SBBL village to play an active role in the conservation of mangrove ecosystems. In fact, it is hoped that through the AgroEduTourism design provided, it will be able to improve community welfare and contribute to accelerating mangrove rehabilitation to the surrounding area. Several solutions are offered to overcome the problems faced by partners, namely: 1) organizing training on integrated fisheries agribusiness management based on agrosilvofisheries, 2) Providing stimulus to aquaculture businesses in the form of providing fish seeds and providing starter feed. 3) Organize mangrove planting as a rehabilitation measure for degraded mangrove areas; 4) Redesigning tourist areas to make them more attractive and representative for the purpose of educational agro-tourism. The results of the PKMS carried out were the training of 15 SBBL residents to cultivate fish in an integrated manner. Provided assistance of 7500 fish breeds and feed to the training participants. The design of an agro-tourism area has been produced which has four functions, namely tourism, cultivation, education and conservation

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of rice husk ash and oyster mushroom baglog waste compost on the growth and production of servo tomato plants and obtain the best dose for application on peat soils. The research was conducted from January to May 2022. This study used the factorial randomized block design with two factors. First factor is rice husk ash with 4 levels: A0 (0 tons/ha), A1 (5 tons/ha), and A2 (7,5 tons/ha), A3 (10 tons/ha). The second factor is spent mushroom substrate composte with 4 levels: K0 (0 tons/ha), K1 (15 tons/ha), K2 (20 tons/ha), and K3 (25 tons/ha). This study consisted of 16 combinations of treatments that were repeated 3 times. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight of planting, dry weight of planting, number of cropping fruits, weight of crop fruit, and fruit diameter. The data from the study were analyzed using a variety analysis (F test) with a level of 5%. The results showed that the combination of A2K1 treatment had an influence on the variables of plant height, fresh weight of plants, number of fruits planted, weight of crop fruit and diameter of fruits compared to A0K0.

Abstract

The priority problem that needs to be overcome in Sungai Deras Village by the PKM team is to restore vegetation lost by land clearing activities in order to maintain the protection function of the area. The availability of nectar from flowering vegetation as a source of feed for kelulut bees cultivated by residents is still limited, the availability of sufficient feed will affect the volume and quality of honey produced. The knowledge of community members related to the technology and management of kelulut honey cultivation is still relatively low. In addition, the tourist area in Sungai Deras village needs the addition of better attractions and promotions so that it is increasingly known and in demand by the wider community in West Kalimantan and at the national level. The purpose of this community empowerment activity is expected that honey bee cultivation can also be of tourist attraction value by making the land around existing tourist sites into kelulut cultivation land. This business is not only economic, ecologically also has educational value because it can be used as a location for practice and research for students, lecturers and the general public who want to learn about forest ecosystems and kelulut bee cultivation while traveling (Ecoedutourism). The solution offered by the PKM team is to organize and plant to enrich the number and type of vegetation feed for kelulut bees using an integrated cultivation pattern between forestry, bees and fisheries in one location (SIlvoapifisheries) which also has ecotourism and educational values. PKM activities consist of technical guidance on kelulut cultivation, installing 20 kelulut colonies in stup which will be further developed communally, revegetating the land around kelulut cultivation with types of fruit, flower and medicinal plants. It is hoped that the enrichment of vegetation and cultivating kelulut can maintain the function of protection control and increase community income from the tourism sector.

Abstract

Oil palm plantations (Elaeis guinensis Jacq.) are the main commodity developed in Indonesia, but from the cultivation aspect, there are weeds that can interfere with productivity. Analysis of weed vegetation and weed seed banks is needed to determine their structure and composition. The problem formulation is knowing the structure of vegetation and the potential for weed seeds on the land before and after replanting. The aim of the research is to determine the structure of weed vegetation and weed seed banks in oil palm plants. The research method used a purposive sampling field survey in the oil palm plantation planting area with a plot size of 1×1 m with a total of 5 plot points in 1 Ha on land before replanting and after replanting aged 2 and 4 years. Take the seed bank on 15 x 15 cm land at a depth of 15 cm at 5 points per plot. Broadleaf weeds are the most dominant both in the weed seed bank variable and in the land before and after replanting, while the most dominant weed in the land before replanting is Davallia denticulata, while in the land after 2 years of replanting the most dominant weed is Nephrolepis biserrata and in the land after replanting 4 The most dominant weed this year was Ageratum conyzooides. The recommendation from this research is that weed control can be carried out using contact herbicides because most of the dominant weeds found on the research land are ferns and broadleaf weeds.

Abstract

Bayur Bay Swamp Irrigation Area (DIR) has a land area of (70.88 km2), so an irrigation system with sufficient water discharge and appropriate quality of irrigation water is needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality and status of DIR Teluk Bayur irrigation water. Based on the regulations in force, the use of water in the DIR is sufficient for class IV quality status, but the problem that occurs in the Teluk Bayur DIR is that the water in the DIR network is used by the community to meet the needs of their daily activities. Where the use of water for daily needs is included in class II water quality. Therefore, it is necessary to measure water quality using the Water Pollution Index (IPA) method to determine the status of water pollution levels in class II water quality based on RI Government Regulation No. 22 Year 2021. From the test results, it was found that the Total Phosphate Parameter was below the quality standard so that based on the calculation results using the Water Pollution Index method, samples SA3 and SA4 were heavily polluted with pollution index values of 12.43 and 12.80, where the maximum Ci/Lij values were respectively respectively are 17.50 and 18.04 while the status of SA1 pollution index value is 1.89 lightly polluted and SA2 pollution index is 4.40 moderately polluted. So that from all water quality tests it can be said that the quality of irrigation water in Teluk Bayur DIR still does not meet all of the quality standard parameters that have been set. 89 are lightly polluted and the SA2 pollution index is 4.40 moderately polluted. So that from all water quality tests it can be said that the quality of irrigation water in Teluk Bayur DIR still does not meet all of the quality standard parameters that have been set. 89 are lightly polluted and the SA2 pollution index is 4.40 moderately polluted.
