Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical communication ability in terms of students self- confidence in solving problems related to statistical material. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The subjects in this study were 25 students, taken 3 students with each student with high, medium, and low self-confidence. The data collection technique used 3 essay test questions on statistical material, a self-confidence questionnaire, and interviews. The data obtained were then analyzed based on indicators of mathematical communication ability, namely, presenting mathematical symbols, making mathematical models, and writing. The results of the study showed that students with high self-confidence had high mathematical communication skills and were able to meet all indicators of mathematical communication ability. Students with medium and low self-confidence had medium mathematical communication skills and met two indicators of mathematical communication ability. Students with medium and low self-confidence were only able to meet two indicators, namely presenting mathematical symbols and writing. Therefore, teachers are expected to be able to improve students' mathematical communication skills by increasing joint discussion activities, presentations, question and answer sessions between teachers and students and students with students, as well as providing students with lots of practice questions so that students' self-confidence also increases.

Abstract

In the trigonometry course, the learning achievement achieved by students is not optimal because many students get scores below 70. Researchers find out the causes of these problems, one of which is that the teacher still uses the lecture method and assignments in the learning process. This causes students to only listen to the material without going through the process of trying and finding themselves. The researcher gave the treatment of the Project-Based Learning learning model and conventional learning model so that the purpose of this study was to determine the difference in learning achievement of Mathematics Education Study Program students at Palangka Raya University as prospective teachers who were treated with the Project-Based Learning learning model and conventional learning model. The population of this study was all 1st semester students of the 2024/2025 academic year of the mathematics education study program at Palangka Raya University. Before conducting the analysis using the t-test of two independent samples, the prerequisite test was carried out: normality test with Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test with Levene. The results of this study are that there are differences in the learning achievement of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Palangka Raya University as prospective teachers who are treated with the Project-Based Learning learning model and the conventional learning model. Furthermore, students in the experimental class using the Project-Based Learning learning model obtained an average achievement of 81.379, while the control class using the conventional learning model obtained an average achievement of 72.008.

Abstract

The socialization of the introduction and use of the Canva application aims to improve the ability of elementary school teachers to create interesting and interactive learning media. Interesting learning media can increase student motivation and the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This community service activity was carried out at Elementary School 1 Pahandut Palangka Raya involving 25 teachers as participants. Through the workshop method, participants were given an understanding of Canva's features and how to use them to design learning media. This activity has several stages, including: Presentation: Introduction to the Canva application, available features, and its benefits in education, Demonstration: Showing the steps for using Canva to create learning media, Practice: Teachers are invited to create their own learning media with guidance from the facilitator, and Discussion: Question and answer session to explore the use of Canva. The results of the activity showed an increase in teacher skills in using the application, as well as high enthusiasm for applying technology in the teaching and learning process. It is hoped that with the implementation of this application, the learning process can be more interesting and effective, and increase student motivation in learning. This activity also opens up opportunities for follow-up in the form of further mentoring and training. Abstrak Sosialisasi Pengenalan dan Penggunaan Aplikasi Canva bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Media pembelajaran yang menarik dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan efektivitas proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Pahandut Palangka Raya dengan melibatkan 25 guru sebagai peserta. Melalui metode workshop, peserta diberikan pemahaman tentang fitur-fitur Canva dan cara memanfaatkannya untuk desain media pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini memiliki beberapa tahap antara lain: Presentasi: Pengenalan aplikasi Canva, fitur-fitur yang tersedia, dan manfaatnya dalam pendidikan, Demonstrasi: Menunjukkan langkah-langkah penggunaan Canva untuk membuat media pembelajaran, Praktik: Guru diajak untuk membuat media pembelajaran sendiri dengan bimbingan dari fasilitator, dan Diskusi: Sesi tanya jawab untuk mendalami penggunaan Canva. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi, serta antusiasme yang tinggi untuk menerapkan teknologi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Diharapkan, dengan penerapan aplikasi ini, proses pembelajaran dapat menjadi lebih menarik dan efektif, serta meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Kegiatan ini juga membuka peluang untuk tindak lanjut dalam bentuk pendampingan dan pelatihan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative study which aims to describe the mathematical anxiety of new students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Palangka Raya University both classically and in terms of gender. The subjects of this research were 34 Mathematics Education students at Palangka Raya University, consisting of 21 female students and 13 male students who were selected based on a saturated sampling technique. The technique for collecting data in this research is using a questionnaire. The results of this research can be classically concluded that the majority of new students in the Mathematics Education Study Program at Palangka Raya University have mathematical anxiety. When viewed from gender, the average percentage of mathematical anxiety between female students is greater than that of male students.

Abstract

Teknik analisis data regresi linier sederhana digunakan pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari  self efficacy terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif berpendekatan ex post facto. Populasi dari penelitian ini ialah semua siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya dan samperlnya berjumlah 88 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data diperoleh  menggunakan instrumen tes untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan instrumen angket untuk self efficacy. Uji prasyarat yang digunakan ada 5 untuk mengetahui normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, linieritas, otokorelasi, dan multikolinearitas. Setelah itu dilanjutkan analisis dan dihasilkan adanya pengaruh self efficacy terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya. Hasil R Square = 0,200 x 100 % = 20% yang berarti bahwa self efficacy berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebesar 20%.

Abstract

Interviews with mathematics teachers revealed issues related to the need for concrete, varied, and contextually relevant learning materials. The availability of concrete media remains limited in both quantity and utilization in mathematics instruction. Current technological developments offer opportunities for innovation in the creation of 3D learning media that can be viewed, interacted with, and manipulated by students. An innovative solution is the development of 3D mathematics learning media using 3D printing technology. Therefore, a community service program was implemented to address the identified problem through this innovation. The program consisted of training mathematics teachers in designing and producing 3D mathematics learning media using 3D printing. The partner involved in this activity was the Mathematics Teacher Working Group (MGMP) of Junior High School "Cosinus" in Palangka Raya City. The training aimed to provide knowledge on the design and production of 3D mathematics learning media through 3D printing technology. Conducted in two sessions, the training yielded satisfactory results, as evidenced by improvements in all observed aspects among participating mathematics teachers. Furthermore, it was concluded that 3D printing training for the development of mathematics learning media was effectively implemented.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Behe Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 Kabupaten Landak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto. Populasi semua siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Behe. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 64 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dengan uji prasyarat yaitu normalitas dengan metode Kolmogorov-Smirnov, heteroskedastisitas dengan metode Glejser, linearitas dengan menggunakan test for linearity, Multikolonieritas dengan menggunakan Variance Inflation Factor (VIF), dan Outokorelasi dengan metode Durbin-Watson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Behe Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 Kabupaten Landak. Hasil R Square = 0,195 x 100 % = 19,5% yang menunjukkan bahwa prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Behe dapat dijelaskan oleh motivasi belajar sebesar 19,5%.
