Abstract

Matematika merupakan ilmu yang masih dianggap sulit oleh siswa khususnya siswa menengah atas. Anggapan sulit diawal pembelajaran menjadi salah satu penghambat dalam memahami materi khususnya materi turunan. Pembelajaran konsep memerlukan bentuk secara visual agar materi mudah dipahami. Siswa Kelas XII Madrasah Aliyah Al-Falak Kota Bogor pun mengalami masalah yang sama dalam pembelajaran materi turunan. Siswa sulit membayangkan grafik dari konsep fungsi turunan. Penggunaan media pembelajaran dengan aplikasi GeoGebra dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep turunan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu meningkatkan kemampuan siswa Madrasah Aliyah Al-Falak khususnya pada materi turunan. Metode pelaksanan pengabdian dengan memberikan pelatihan penggunaan GeoGebra pada materi turunan. Pelatihan dibagi menjadi empat sesi yaitu pretest, pemaparan materi, latihan soal, dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasil Uji t-berpasangan diperoleh bahwa nilai post-test secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai pretest. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan GeoGebra dalam pembelajaran materi turunan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Nilai rata-rata post-test mencapai 80,08 melampaui nilai KKM sebesar 78.

Abstract

Currency is a tool in the form of money that is accepted and valid and legal as a payment and economic transactions in a country. US dollar is benchmark for world currencies, so predicting rupiah against US dollar is important. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of daily selling rate Rupiah against US Dollar, determine best model, and make predictions selling rate of Rupiah against US Dollar. Data used is daily data on selling rate of Rupiah against US Dollar 20 November 2020 - 19 January 2023 with details data training 20 November 2020 - 20 November 2022 and data testing 21 November 2022 - 19 January 2023. The model used is Autoregressive Integrated Moving Averages (ARIMA). The best model was chosen based on the smallest Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Akaike Information Criterion (AIC). From the analysis results, it is found that best model is ARIMA (2,1,2) because it has significant parameters, white-noise residuals and has smallest MSE and MAPE values. With ARIMA model (2,1,2) the forecasting results for January 20 2023 – January 31 2023 is obtained with highest selling price on January 30 2023 Rp.15,932.4 and smallest on January 20 2023 Rp.15,901.9 and the average Rp.15,919.4. Based on these results, exporters and importers can consider their business activities.

Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Al Falak adalah suatu lembaga pendidikan yang berada di Kota Bogor. Berdasarkan informasi dari guru matematika madrasah tersebut, permasalahan yang terjadi di madrasah ini adalah rata-rata nilai matematika siswa tergolong rendah yaitu 50 yang masih dibawah KKM yaitu 60. Hal ini menjadikan kami para tim pelaksana pengabdian untuk melakukan pelatihan rumus cepat integral sehingga dapat meningkatkan minat siswa untuk belajar integral dan meningkatkan kompetensi pembelajaran matematika khususnya pada materi integral. Sebelum dilakukan pelatihan rumus cepat integral, diberikan pretest untuk melihat kemampuan awal siswa dan diperoleh rata-rata pretest adalah 31. Selanjutnya dilakukan pelatihan rumus cepat integral dan diakhiri dengan pemberian posttest. Berdasarkan hasil posttest, diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 80.75 dan setelah dilakukan uji-t berpasangan diperoleh thitung = -87.179 < -ttabel = -0.209302 maka thitung terletak pada daerah H0 ditolak. Oleh karena itu, bisa disimpulkan ada perbedaan nilai antara sebelum dan sesudah pemberian pelatihan rumus cepat integral.

Abstract

This study aims to classify money market fund products listed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) with minimal classification error. Mahalanobis distance and Manhattan distance were employed to classify these products. Data was sourced from the Indo Premier Online Technology (IPOT) application. Variables utilized in this research include percentage return, Sharpe ratio, unit growth, and Asset Under Management (AUM) . Additionally, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was employed to reduce data dimensionality by linearly combining correlated original variables into new variables (principal components). PCA was used to visualize data with more than three dimensions. Based on the principal component analysis, the first two principal components captured 74.43% of the original data information, while the first three principal components captured 98.94%. Classification results using three principal components and standardized data showed the same error rates: 13.33% for Mahalanobis distance and 6.67% for Manhattan distance. For the two principal components, both Mahalanobis and Manhattan distances resulted in an error rate of 13.33%. Therefore, Manhattan distance is the most effective method for classification. Forecasting results indicate that mutual fund A is a good investment choice, while mutual fund B is a poor one. Keywords: Mahalanobis distance; Manhattan distance; Principal Component Analysis

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine benefit reserves with the premium sufficiency method that would be applied to types of term insurance with non-constant interest rates by using the Vasicek and Cox-Ingersol-Ross models. The novelty of this study is in determining term insurance benefit reserves by comparing benefit reserves using the Vasicek and Cox-Ingersol-Ross interest rate models so that it can be a decision-maker for insurance companies. The stages of this research activity started by estimating the parameters for the Vasicek and Cox-Ingersoll-Ross (CIR) interest rates. The next step was to estimate the interest rate on Vasicek and CIR. Then, estimate the reserve value of term insurance benefits using the premium sufficiency method with non-constant interest rates. At the final stage, the results of the reserve value of benefits with non-constant interest rates and CIR would be interpreted and compared. The results of the research obtained by the CIR interest rate were always positive, and the difference in interest rates between each time was not too large compared to Vasicek. This was in line with the reserve results of the benefits obtained. The difference in benefit reserves between times using Vasicek was greater than that of the CIR interest rate model.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia had a huge impact on the economy. The long period of restriction of population mobility impacted the changes of people's income. West Java is the province with the most workers affected by this pandemic. The income of workers in West Java in the first five months of the pandemic decreased by 50.1%. The existence of these problems shows that an analysis of the impact of covid on changes in worker income is very necessary. This study aims to determine the factors that have a significant effect on changes in workers' income in West Java. Based on the results of the multinomial logistic model suitability test, it was found that there was no difference in the model between the observed results and the predicted results for male workers, therefore the model could be used. In the second year of the covid pandemic, the opportunity for a person's income to decrease in West Java is still very high, at 0.9891. The factors with the highest opportunities that affect income changes in the reduced category are self-employed employment status, changes in work hours, the implementations of WFH, and workers working at terminal/station/airport locations.

Abstract

Stock investment has become a popular choice for individuals seeking financial returns, although it comes with high risks due to market price volatility. This study aims to apply the Monte Carlo Simulation method to predict the stock price of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) and assess the accuracy of its predictions. BRIS was selected as it represents the largest Islamic bank in Indonesia and is attractive to investors focused on sharia-compliant finance. The research uses historical daily closing prices from January 2023 to December 2024, which are processed into daily returns and volatility as inputs for the simulation model based on Geometric Brownian Motion (GBM). The simulation was run three times to generate a variety of potential price paths. The predicted results were then compared with actual stock prices, and the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) was used to evaluate prediction accuracy. The MAPE result of 39.75% indicates a moderate level of forecasting error. Although not perfectly precise, the model provides a valuable insight into possible price movements. The Monte Carlo method proves useful in capturing the uncertainty of the stock market and serves as a supportive tool for better investment decisions, especially in the Islamic banking sector. This research is expected to offer useful guidance for investors and stakeholders in managing portfolios using a quantitative approach.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic (coronavirus disease 2019) has caused various problems in terms of health, education, economy, and other aspects. Vitamins are a complex compound that is needed by the body both for immunity and sharpening focus, especially during this pandemic. Therefore, in this social empowerment, the time conducted counseling on the importance of vitamins to teachers, parents, and students of SD Negeri Court 2. The Covid-19 pandemic has also had an impact on students' 4C (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity) skills. To overcome this, the members of the social empowerment also conducted learning by using integer chip props to hone students' 4C skills. Through the collaboration of chemistry study program lecturers who provide socialization of the importance of vitamins and mathematics study program lecturers who provide teaching integer operations with integer chip. By this social empowerment activities, students can focus on observing the learning process and honing students' 4C skills.

Abstract

The acceptance of Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) is an opportunity highly anticipated by the community to build a career in the government sector. However, tight competition and complex selection stages are often the main challenges for applicants. Many applicants fail due to a lack of understanding of the selection process, ineffective learning strategies, and minimal information about the success criteria. The partner of this Community Service activity is Giat Belajar Abadi. Giat Belajar Abadi (GBA) is a lifelong learning platform designed to help people improve their skills and expand their knowledge. This platform offers a variety of classes and learning programs related to business, self-development, and more. However, Giat Belajar Abadi has not yet opened a class for training strategies to pass the Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) test. Therefore, a community service program is needed for Giat Belajar Abadi partners by opening a training class on CPNS test strategies. This class will help CPNS applicants to be better prepared for the selection, both technically and mentally, increasing their chances of success. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to increase understanding of CPNS selection strategies through Giat Belajar Abadi partners. Therefore, the target audience of this activity is CPNS applicants. The outcome of this Community Service program is an increased understanding of CPNS selection strategies. Through this program, it is hoped that the success rate of participants in the CPNS selection will increase, while creating more competent human resources ready to contribute to the government sector. This program also has a long-term impact on improving the quality of CPNS applicants’ preparation in the future.
