Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan mengembangkan mobile learning berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran digital yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik khususnya pada mata kuliah Teknik Pendingin. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) yang merupakan suatu proses yang dipakai dalam mengembangkan dan memvalidasi suatu produk pendidikan. Setelah melalui tahapan pengembangan, selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian tingkat kelayakan dari media pembelajaran digital berbasis android ini baik dari sisi materi dan media oleh para ahli yang relevan di bidangnya. Proses pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Android Pada Mata Kuliah Teknik Pendingin telah menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D (Four-D Model) yang terdiri atas tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (development), dan tahap penyebaran (desiminate). Setiap tahap proses pengembangan telah berhasil dilakukan dan telah diuji kelayakannya dari sisi materi dan media. Dari penilaian tingkat kelayakan oleh judges juga dapat dilihat bahwa media pembelajaran digital berbasis android ini dapat dikatagorikan sangat layak dari sisi pendapat ahli materi dengan tingkat pencapaian 95% dan ahli media dengan tingkat pencapaian 93%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa media pembelajaran digital berbasis android ini sangat layak untuk di aplikasikan kepada mahasiswa sebagai media belajar secara mandiri (autonomous learning) sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan panjang collar terhadap torsi dan daya sepeda motor dengan sistem transmisi CVT (continuously variable transmission). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena terjadinya penurunan torsi dan daya sepeda motor yang disebabkan oleh keausan pada komponen bertransmisi CVT. Penambahan panjang collar bertujuan untuk memperbesar rasio puly pada sistem continuously variable transmission sehingga torsi dan daya sepeda motor dapat ditingkatkan. Collar yang diujikan adalah collar standar dengan panjang 47,7 mm, collar modifikasi 1 dengan panjang 48,7 mm, dan collar modifikasi 2 dengan panjang 49,7 mm. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Setelah dilakukan pengujian didapatkan hasil peningkatan tertinggi nilai torsi yaitu pada penggunaan collar modifikasi 2 sebesar 6,64 % pada putaran mesin 3500 rpm. Kemudian peningkatan tertinggi nilai daya yaitu pada penggunaan collar modifikasi 2 sebesar 6,63% pada putaran mesin 3500 rpm.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan hasil tegangan statik maksimum dan minimum serta factor of safety  pada frame kendaraan Electric Ganesha Scooter Portable (E-GASPOL). Pada penelitian ini menggunakan  jenis penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D), Teknik analisis data yang dipergunakan yaitu metode elemen hingga, metode ini dapat menyelesaikan persoalan statik, dinamik, linier maupun non-linier.  Penelitian ini dimulai dari pemodelan frame kemudian analisis statik dengan Software solidworks premium 2019. Setelah dilakukan modifikasi dan analisis statik diketahui bahwa terjadi    beberapa perubahan pada frame, antara lain penurunan tegangan statik maksimum kondisi tanpa beban pengendara yaitu sebesar 58,55% sedangkan, dengan beban pengendara meningkat sebesar 58,56% dari frame awal. Untuk nilai factor of safety  frame terjadi peningkatan pada kondisi tanpa beban pengendara yaitu sebesar 141,37% sedangkan, dengan beban pengendara yaitu meningkat 141,89% dari frame awal, dari data tersebut dapat disimpulkan frame hasil modifikasi dinyatakan lebih baik dan lebih kuat dibanding frame awal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ratio of surface roughness in ST 42 steel with cutting angles of , , and at speeds of 490 Rpm and 700 Rpm. This method uses an experimental method with independent variables, namely cutting angle and spindle speed and bound variables, namely surface roughness in ST 42 steel. To test the surface roughness results using the surface roughness tester tool, which obtained the average value of surface roughness at a tool cutting angle of with a speed of 490 Rpm of 2.848 μm, a cutting angle of of 2.530 μm and a cutting angle of of 2.423 μm. At a speed of 700 Rpm at a cutting angle of of 2.439 μm, a cutting angle of of 2.179 μm and a cutting angle of of 2.048 μm. From these data, it can be concluded that there is an influence on the variation of the cutting angle of the lathe tool and spindle speed on the surface roughness value of steel ST 42.Where at the spindle speed of the lathe 700 Rpm at the cutting angle of the lowest surface roughness value is obtained

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi kedalaman knurling pada clutch housing terhadap unjuk kerja sepeda motor dengan sistem transmisi CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah penurunan performa kendaraan akibat usia pakai yang panjang, khususnya dalam hal torsi, daya, dan konsumsi bahan bakar. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah kedalaman knurling clutch housing yang divariasikan menjadi 0 mm (kondisi standar), 0,2 mm, 0,4 mm, dan 0,6 mm. Variabel terikatnya meliputi torsi, daya, dan konsumsi bahan bakar. Penelitian dilakukan pada sepeda motor dengan sistem transmisi CVT menggunakan metode eksperimen dimana pengujian torsi dan daya menggunakan dynotest, serta konsumsi bahan bakar menggunakan metode pengukuran volume dan waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi kedalaman knurling berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan torsi dan daya mesin, serta konsumsi bahan bakar yang lebih hemat. Variasi kedalaman knurling 0,6 mm memberikan hasil yang paling optimal dalam meningkatkan perfomansi kendaraan dibandingkan variasi lainnya. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif solusi praktis dalam meningkatkan kembali performa sepeda motor dengan sistem transmisi CVT yang telah mengalami penurunan perfomansi seiring dengan bertambahnya usia pakai.

Abstract

This study is to determine fuel consumption and exhaust emissions due to addition of a ground strap to the spark plug coil cable using silver wire material. The silver wire was 0.8 mmdiameter and installed with number of turns of 255. This research was conducted since spark plug disturbance, due to electromagnetic field, decreases engine performance. This electromagnetic field occurs during electric current flows from battery to spark plug. This study applied experimental method with 10 repetitions of data collection. The results showed that the lowest specific fuel consumption reduction by 19.6% occured at 5000 rpm and the highest one by 29% occured at 8000 rpm when groundstrap was installed. Meanwhile, HC, CO and CO2 exhaust emissions decreased by 80.3%, 82.3% and 36.7%, repectively, after installation of groundstrap.

Abstract

This experiment aims was to determine the effect of variations temperature in expantion valve on the (COP)Coefficient Of Performance from an air conditioning engine prototype mini water chiller, the prototype mini water chiller was designed by students in the Mechanical Engineering Education, Undiksha. The method used in this research is experimental method. The testing process was carried out at the Refrigeration Engineering Laboratory in Mechanical Engineering Education, Undiksha. In this experiment, the variation of working temperature in  expantion valve is determined from 80C, 110C, 140C, 170C and 200C. The tool used to vary the temperature in expansion valve is a thermoelectric cooler. To calculate the (COP) Coefficient Of Performance from prototype mini water chiller, it is necessary to collect data temperature at every several measurement points at T1, T2, and T4. Then from the data acquisition, data processing is carried out to calculate the (COP) Coefficient Of Performance value. After testing, it was found an effect of variations working temperature in expantion valve on the (COP) Coefficient Of Performance from prototype mini water chiller. The lower working temperature in expantion valve, the (COP) Coefficient Of Performance from an air conditioning engine will increase.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding the effect of variations in the distance of the expansion valve with the evaporator on the performance of the type cooling machine Split AC. The method used in this research was the experimental method. The variation used in this research were the variation of the distance between the expansion valve and the evaporator by 1 meter, 2 meters, and 3 meters (standard), then the value sought in this study were the room cooling rate and COP (Coefficient of Performance). Data collection in this study was repeated 15 times. From the results of data collection and the calculation process, the room cooling rate has increased compared to the standard distance variation, which were 3 meters, where the highest room cooling rate occurs at a distance of 1 meter variation of 0.0876 Kj/s, so the smaller the expansion valve distance from the evaporator, the smaller the expansion valve distance from the evaporator. room cooling rate increases, and vice versa. And for the COP results from variations in the distance of the expansion valve with the evaporator decreased from the standard distance variation of 3 meters, where the lowest COP occurred at a distance variation of 1 meter by 33.58, so the smaller the distance of the expansion valve with the evaporator, the COP of the cooling machine decreased and vice versa.

Abstract

The development for an egg incubator prototype with the use of heat on the condenser side of the refrigerator belongs to  Research and Development (R&D) conductment with the aim of knowing the process of developing an egg incubator prototype by using heat on the condenser side of the refrigerator to find out the feasibility  level. The method in this study uses Quality Function Deployment (QFD), which is a method used in the early stages of product design and development that makes quality design of a product based on the market quality demand and order of the customer. The prototype development process undergo  several stages, including: preliminary survey to the farmer community, design, instrument validity testing, prototype making, media export testing and small group testing. Based on the calculation of the results of the validity test assessment by the instrument content expert, the content validity value of 1 which refers to the instrument validity criteria table is included in the very high validity criteria. Furthermore, based on the calculation of the validation results from the media expert test and the small group test, it gets a percentage of 100% for the media expert test and a percentage of 95.20% for the small group test and refers to the eligibility level qualification table with a scale of 5 in the very appropriate category without the need for revision, so that the  developed prototype egg incubator  are suitable for use and marketable for the industry.

Abstract

The biggest problem facing the automotive industry today is limited natural resources and environmental protection. Therefore, it is very important to conduct and carry out research and mapping of alternative materials that can reduce the use of non-renewable materials. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of variations in the volume of teak wood powder on the impact strength of composites with a polyester polymer matrix and identify fracture patterns. This research uses an experimental design combined with one-way statistical analysis of variance to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that there were significant differences in impact strength between the variations of the three specimens tested. Specimens with variations in volume fraction of 20%:80% for teak wood powder and polyester resin have the highest impact strength, while specimens with variations in volume fraction of 30%:70% for teak wood powder and polyester resin have the lowest impact strength. Apart from that, examination of the microscopic structure of the fracture patterns shows differences in fracture patterns between specimens. Specimens with variations in volume fraction of 0% (100% polyester resin) show a brittle fracture mechanism, while specimens of 10%:90%, 20%:80%, 30%:70% for teak wood powder and polyester resin show that the fracture pattern that appears is a combination of fragility and fibular fracture which is also called a fibrous fracture.
