Abstract

Kelangsungan penggunaan bioetanol sebagai aditif dari bahan bakar bensin yang bersumber dari energi fosil khususnya di Indonesia cukup mendapatan tantangan berat, apalagi untuk menjadikan bioetanol sebagai bahan bakar utama pengganti bahan bakar fosil dimasa depan. Artikel ini ditulis berdasarkan hasil kajian dan studi literatur yang berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan bioetanol sebagai salah satu energi alternatif. Metode penelitian meliputi pengambilan dan kompilasi data sekunder serta berusaha memberikan suatu gagasan solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang timbul yang pada akhirnya dari analisis data ditarik suatu kesimpulan dari keseluruhan studi literatur yang telah dilakukan.Dari kajian literatur diperoleh kelebihan dari bioetanol yang cukup signifikan yaitu mampu meningkatkan unjuk kerja dari mesin terutama pada putaran mesin yang tinggi. Penggunaan bioetanol juga mampu menurunkan emisi CO, dan CO2. Harus pula dilihat beberapa kekurangannya antara lain bioetanol bereaksi dengan logam seperti magnesium dan aluminium. Selanjutnya dari sisi ekonomi untuk memasarkan bioetanol dengan harga rendah cukup sulit untuk dilakukan. Dari segi penyediaan bahan baku yang bersumber dari tanaman yang mengandung gula dikhawatirkan akan memicu persaingan antara ketersediaan bahan baku dengan ketersediaan pangan.Salah satu solusi dalam menjamin keberlangsungan pemenuhan bahan baku pembuatan bioetanol adalah melalui pemanfaatan bahan-bahan berlignosellulosa yang memiliki struktur gula sederhana dan dapat dikonversi menjadi etanol. Abstract

Aerodinamika adalah aspek yang memperhitungkan gaya yang disebabkan oleh aliran fluida yang ditunjukan dengan nilai (Coeficient Of Drag) hal ini akan berpengaruh pada optimalisasi kinerja dan konsumsi energi yang digunakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memodifikasi desain standar Ganesha Surface Water sehingga diperoleh desain yang memiliki nilai Coeficient Of Drag minimum. Untuk mengetahui nilai Coeficient Of Drag diperlukannya sebuah simulasi analisis aliran fluida, salah satunya adalah menggunakan software Solidwork, software Solidworks dikenal dengan software yang memiliki kecepatan dan ketepatan dalam menganalisis. Jenis Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model penelitian R2D2. Setelah dilakukannya proses simulasi analisis aliran fluida diketahui bahwa desain hasil modifikasi kendaraan Ganesha Surface Water memiliki nilai Coeficient Of Drag 0,038 (28%) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan desain kendaraan standar, sedangkan pada desain hasil modifikasi cadik kendaraan Ganesha Surface Water memiliki nilai Coeficient Of Drag 0,139 (38%) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan desain cadik standar. Melalui penilaian ahli, desain modifikasi Ganesha Surface Water telah mendapat persentase nilai 86% dengan kualifikasi layak.Kata Kunci: aerodinamika; coeficient of drag; ganesha surface water; sofware solidworks.Aerodynamic aspects take into account the drag caused by fluid flow, which is indicated by the value (Coefficient of Drag). It will affect the optimization of performance and energy consumption used. This research aims to modify the standard design of Ganesha Surface Water to obtain a design that has a value Coefficient of Drag minimum. In order to find out the value of the Coefficient of Drag, a fluid flow analysis simulation is needed, one of which is using Solidworks software. Solidworks software is known as software that has speed and accuracy in analyzing. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) using the R2D2 research model. After conducting the simulation process of fluid flow analysis. It is known that the modified design of the Ganesha Vehicle Surface Water has a value Coefficient of Drag 0.038 (28%) lower than the standard vehicle design. In comparison, the Ganesha Vehicle Surface Water's modified design has a value Coefficient of Drag 0.139 (38%) lower compared to standard worry designs. Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of variations in the capillary tube winding on the suction line on achieving optimal temperature and room cooling rate. This study uses three variations: the capillary tube without being wrapped around the suction line, the capillary tube wrapped in half on the suction line, and the capillary tube fully wound on the suction line. Specifically, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the capillary tube wrapped around the suction line, which led to efforts to maintain the performance of the refrigerator trainer prototype. The method used in this study uses an experimental method where the data collection process is carried out through observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study uses quantitative descriptive research techniques where the research data will be tabulated and displayed in the form of tables and graphs, and data analysis is carried out to find out how much influence the achievement of the optimal room temperature and the cooling rate of the prototype trainer refrigerator room itself. From the research that has been carried out, it is obtained that the highest optimal room temperature achievement occurs in the variation of the capillary tube fully wound on the suction line, where there is an increase in the optimal room temperature achievement of 16.17% when compared to the room cooling rate using standard variations or without being wrapped. And the result in the form of the highest room cooling rate is the variation of the capillary pipe fully wound on the suction line.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh data - data unjuk kerja mesin pengkondisian udara tipe AC Split  berupa laju pendinginan ruangan dan COP (Coefficient Of Performance) pada setiap variasi jarak katup ekspansi dengan kondensor, untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai besarnya pengaruh variasi jarak katup ekspansi dengan kondensor terhadap performansi mesin pengkondisian udara.  Hal ini dilakukan dalam usaha untuk menjaga kinerja dari mesin serta memperpanjang usia pemakaian (lifetime). Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium Teknik Pendingin, Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental yang dalam proses pengambilan datanya menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung dilapangan, dokumentasi penelitian dan teknik analisa data menggunakan teknik penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mendeskripsikan atau memberikan gambaran secara sistematik terhadap fenomena yang terjadi selama penelitian dan disajikan dalam bentuk grafik serta diberikan uraian analisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa hasil penting yaitu besarnya laju pendinginan ruangan meningkat seiring dengan semakin panjangnya jarak antara katup ekspansi dengan kondensor dimana laju pendinginan ruangan tertinggi diperoleh pada variasi jarak 2 meter antara katup ekspansi dengan kondensor yang mana diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,0875 Kj/s (meningkat 27,8% dibandingkan dengan kondisi standar). Sebaliknya terdapat trend penurunan COP (Coefficient Of Perfomance) dari mesin pengkondisian udara seiring dengan semakin panjangnya jarak kondensor dengan katup ekspansi, dimana COP (Coefficient Of Perfomance) terendah diperoleh pada variasi jarak 2 meter antara katup ekspansi dengan kondensor yang mana diperoleh hasil sebesar 33,15 (menurun 27,8% dibandingkan dengan kondisi standar). Kata kunci : Laju pendinginan ruangan, COP (Coefficient Of Performance), katup ekspansi, variasi jarak katup ekspansi  dengan kondensor This research is a type of experimental research that aims to obtain data - data on the performance of ac split air conditioning machine in the form of room cooling rate and COP (Coefficient Of Performance) on each variation of the expansion valve distance with the condenser, to give an idea of the magnitude of the influence of variations in the distance of expansion valves with condensers on the performance of air conditioning machines.  This is done in an effort to maintain the performance of the machine and extend the life of use (lifetime). This research was conducted in the Refrigeration Engineering laboratory, Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program of Ganesha Education University. The methods that will be used in this research are experimental methods that in the process of data collection using data collection techniques through direct observation in the field, research documentation and data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive research techniques to describe or provide a systematic picture of the phenomena that occurred during the research and presented in the form of graphs and given a description of the analysis in a quantitative descriptive manner.  From the results of the study obtained some important results, namely the magnitude of the cooling rate of the room increases along with the longer the distance between the expansion valve and the condenser where the highest room cooling rate is obtained at a variation of 2 meters between the expansion valve and the condenser which obtained a result of 0.0875 Kj / s (an increase of 27.8% compared to standard conditions). Conversely, there is a downward trend of COP (Coefficient Of Perfomance) from air conditioning machines along with the longer the condenser distance with the expansion valve, where the lowest COP (Coefficient Of Perfomance) is obtained at a distance of 2 meters between the expansion valve and the condenser which obtained a result of 33.15 (decreased by 28,2 % compared to standard conditions).Keywords: Room cooling rate, COP (Coefficient Of Performance), expansion valve, variation of expansion valve distance with condenserDAFTAR RUJUKANAnwar, K., Arif, E., & Piarah, W. Abstract

Electric Ganesha Disabilities (E-Gadis) adalah sebuah produk kendaraan yang dikembangkan oleh mahasiswa Konsentrasi Otomotif Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Angkatan ke-7 Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha . Jenis Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model penelitian R2D2. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengujian instrumen  dilakukan berdasarkan penilaian ahli isi dengan menggunakan Aiken yang terdiri 5 ahli, dilakukan uji coba instrumen dengan menggunakan 90 sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas instrumen yang didapatkan hasil validasi isi secara keseluruhan terkategori sangat layak  dan validasi butir lapangan sebesar 0,86 dengan kriteria sangat tinggi dan instrumen keberterimaan sebesar 0,83 dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Selanjutnya penilaian dari ahli manufaktur sebesar 89% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan ahli desain mendapat 87% dengan kriteria sangat layak, sedangkan uji coba lapangan kelompok kecil mendapat nilai persentase sebesar 90% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, uji coba kelompok besar mendapat nilai persentase sebesar 87,38% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil dari uji keberterimaan mendapat nilai persentase sebesar 87,57% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, sehingga kendaraan Electric Ganesha Disabilities (E-Gadis) dapat dikatakan layak berdasarkan hasil dari pengujian tingkat kelayakan dan dapat dilakukan penelitian lanjutan sebagai bentuk penyempurnaan dari produk Electric Ganesha Disabilities (E-Gadis) oleh peneliti selanjutnya. Kata kunci : instrumen; tingkat kelayakan; tingkat keberterimaan; microsoft excel; Electric Ganesha Disabilities (E-Gadis).Electric Ganesha Disabilities (E-Gadis) is a vehicle product developed by students of the Automotive Concentration Study Program of the 7th Generation Mechanical Engineering Education University of Ganesha Education. The type of research conducted is Research and Development (R&D) using the R2D2 research model. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive quantitative analysis method. Instrument testing was carried out based on the assessment of content experts using Aiken which consisted of 5 experts, the instrument was tested using 50 samples. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the quality of the instrument obtained from the content validation results is categorized as very feasible and the field item validation is 0.86 with very high criteria and the acceptance of the instrument is 0.83 with the highest criteria. Furthermore,  the assessment from manufacturing experts was 89% with the lowest descent criteria and design experts got 87% with very feasible criteria, while small group field trials got a percentage value of 90% with very partical criteria, large group trials got a percentage value of 87, 38% with very practical criteria. The results of the acceptan test got a percentage value of 87.57% with very practical criteria, so that the Ganesha Disabilities electric vehicle (E-Gadis) can be said to be feasible based on the results of the feasibility level test and further research can be carried out as a form of refinement of the Ganesha Disabilities electric product. Abstract

The problem that often occurs during lectures is the mismatch of time from the supervisor's response which becomes a very difficult challenge for students in doing their final project/thesis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the supervisor's response time in conducting thesis guidance using Elista which was differentiated based on years of service. This research is a mixed method research with explanatory design, where quantitative data is strengthened by qualitative data. The population in this study were lecturers with a sample selection technique using purposive sampling technique with the sample criteria being lecturers who had become student thesis supervisors so that a sample of 1270 lecturers was obtained which was grouped into 4 work intervals, namely 1-10 years, 11-20 years. years, 21-30 years, and 31-40 years. Data collection in this study was obtained through the Elista database regarding the supervisor's response time and through interviews with lecturers from each working period. Analysis of quantitative data using descriptive analysis and qualitative data using analysis of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that lecturers with 1-10 years of service and 11-20 years had better guidance response times than lecturers with longer tenures because lecturers with 1-10 years of service were more productive in using technology and strongly supported the fast response of supervisors. The implication of this research is that to speed up the travel time of student graduation, a good response from the supervisor is needed, where this response can also be distinguished by the tenure of the lecturer.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of mixing biodiesel and additives with various kinds of mixtures on the exhaust gas opacity of a 4-stroke diesel engine. In this study, two variations of the ratio of the mixture of bio-diesel and additives were used, namely bio-diesel with a mixture ratio of 2.5%: 97.5% and a mixture ratio of 1.25%: 98.75% for additives and bio-diesel. The method used in this study uses an experimental method where the data collection process is carried out through observation and documentation. Data collection was carried out 5 times a repetition using the Opacity Smoke Meter tool. From the results of the study, the variation of the mixture of 2.5%: 97.5% resulted in the lowest average exhaust gas opacity value, where there was a decrease in exhaust gas opacity by 20.8% compared to standard conditions (without the addition of additives). From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an impact of adding additives to biodiesel on exhaust gas opacity where the more additives added to biodiesel will further reduce exhaust gas opacity in vehicles with diesel engines.

Abstract

This research is a mixed method research using an explanatory design. The purpose of this study is to use Elista to assess a lecturer's response to thesis guidance based on the lecturer's gender. This study was condi-cted in Jambi University, involving 330 female and 359 male lecturers respectively. The sampling method used was purposive sampling technique, with the sample criterion being academics who became thesis su-pervisors. Interviews and surveys on Elista were conducted and the responses were gathered. The goal of this study is to establish a technology-based final project guidance system in which it is explored if the thesis supervisor's speedy response to guidance at Elista is affected by the gender of the thesis supervisor. The findings of the study demonstrate that female supervisors respond faster than male supervisors when em-ploying technology such as Elista to carry out the guidance procedure. Elista improves the effectiveness and efficiency of the guidance process between supervisors and students in terms of implementation.

Abstract

Based on preliminary research conducted in the Automotive Engineering class of SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja, it was found that the obstacles faced by students in the learning process were 90% of the 30 students stating that they did not have modules or other handbooks to learn the Special Service Tools (SST) sub-material. 73.3% stated that it was difficult to understand the material through teaching materials and methods applied by the teacher, so that students had difficulty in understanding how to use the types of Special Service Tools (SST) according to their functions. 90% of students stated that they were very happy and interesting if the learning activities of the Special Service Tools (SST) sub-material were presented using learning media that varied with audio, visual, audio-visual media. This research produced learning media in the form of Augmented Reality-based modules that can be accessed individually with a smartphone device to display 3-dimensional objects of the Special Service Tools (SST) type and how to use them. The research method used is research and development using the ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The results of this study show that the learning module automotive basics sub subject Special Service Tools (SST) based on augmented reality is stated to be very feasible and very practical to use. The percentage of material experts, media experts, small and large group trials are 93%, 87.89%, 88.55% and 90.83% which are categorized as very feasible and very practical.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop a light vehicle maintenance learning video containing character values, and to test the feasibility and practicality of the learning video. This research belongs to the type of Research and Development (R&D) research with the Hannafin and Peck development model. The instruments used in data collection were questionnaires for material experts, media experts, and field trials. (a) The research script in the field trial is the students of SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja. The feasibility level is obtained based on the assessment of media experts, material experts, with a percentage with a percentage value of (1) Material experts getting a score of 96.5%, (2) Media experts with a percentage value of 89.16%. The level of practicality can be based on small group trials and large group trials, with a percentage value of (1) Small group trials obtaining a value of 84.5%, (2) large group trials obtaining a percentage value of 86.93%. Based on these results, it can be stated that this media is very feasible in terms of material, and media, as well as practical to use based on responses from respondents, so that this media can be used as a learning medium for light vehicle maintenance that is suitable for use as a learning medium.
