Abstract

Sebagai seorang filosof, al-Ghazali mencintai objektifitas dan rasionalitas. Baginya, filsafat bukanlah benda haram yang tidak boleh dijamah oleh umat Islam. Filsafat baginya adalah berkah bagi manusia pada porsi tertentu dan juga sangat bermanfaat bagi kehidupan. Di bidang tasawuf, al-Ghazali memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap perkembangan tasauf di dunia Islam. Ia berada di barisan terdepan baik sebagai tokoh pelaku maupun sebagai konseptor dan ideolog. Keunggulan al-Ghazali dibanding tokoh sufi lainnya, ia memberikan penghargaan yang tinggi kepada intuisi sebagai sumber pengetahuan yang valid. Konsep al-mukasyafah merupakan implikasi dari eksistensi pengetahuan intuitif. Begitu pula dengan konsep al-‘ilm al-laduni yang digagas oleh al-Ghazali, merupakan aplikasi dari proses al-mukasyafah.

Abstract

Every religious-based college definitely uses verses from the Koran as guidance and beliefs that must be carried out, as well as the Sigantang pencak silat college in Nagari Rura Patontang uses selected verses in every ritual of Sigantang silat activities. Either with a predetermined verse read before practice. This ritual practice is carried out by Pencak Silat Sigantang in Nagari Rura Patontang as a means of getting closer to Allah and the Koran through this ritual. This research uses qualitative research. The research approach uses observation, interviews and documentation methods. This research is based on field research, namely explaining and exploring clear conditions and phenomena regarding the situation that occurred. This research reveals symptoms as a whole through collecting data from naturalistic settings, using the researcher himself as the main or key instrument. Sigantang Pencak Silat is a cultural tradition that has been preserved to this day and has had many social and divine influences that have had a positive impact on society. This tradition is always presented for social purposes in the general public or society. This tradition also encourages people to be close to the Koran and to Allah because silat uses holy verses from the Koran. The verses used are 1. Al-Fatihah, 2. Ayat Kursi, 3. Al-Iklas, 4. Al-Falaq, 5. An-Nass. In pencak silat, the influence of reading the Koran is very important, including calming the soul, controlling emotions, and protecting oneself from various enemy attacks. Then the views of teachers and students regarding pencak silat can be said to be the same. Namely, they agree that pencak silat is the practice of people who practice and are required to use the reading of the holy verses of the Koran.

Abstract

In the context of Islamic teachings, religious education for children is the main obligation that parents must carry out before teaching children another knowledge. The choices and patterns of parents in educating children in the family are directly correlated with the child's religious habits. In fact, the religious formation of children must be taught as early as possible, in fact these religious habits must begin in the womb. In fact, this research aims to find out how parents and children interact in Islamic-based education. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, data sources were taken through in-depth interviews with seven informants, to strengthen the interview data the author also carried out direct observations to document various activities carried out by parents in educating their children in an Islamic way. All interview and observation data were analyzed using the Milles & Huberman interactive thematic analysis model technique. Research findings found a model of interaction between mother and child in the informant's family, such as putting the family in one system, seeing children as small adults. Models such as the findings of this research can be used as examples by Muslim families in educating and interacting with children

Abstract

AbstrakPemahaman fundamentalisme, sekularisme dan moderisme memiliki pengaruh yang besar terhadap kebijakan dalam sebuah oragnisasi maupun sebuah gerakan dan negara. Dalam riset ini, penulis melakukan kajian terhadap perkembangan pemahaman tersebut dalam dunia Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan memaparkan sejarah perkembangan pemahaman fundamentalisme, sekularisme dan moderisme dalam dunia Islam. Riset ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan model library research. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan, bahwa Fundamentalisme, Sekularisme, dan Modernisme dalam Islam adalah tiga pandangan yang muncul sebagai respons terhadap perubahan sosial, politik, dan budaya. Fundamentalisme berusaha kembali ke ajaran dasar agama dengan menolak inovasi modern yang dianggap menyimpang, sementara Sekularisme memisahkan agama dari urusan publik dan politik, menjadikan agama sebagai urusan pribadi. Modernisme, di sisi lain, mencoba menyesuaikan ajaran agama dengan perkembangan zaman, menggabungkan nilai-nilai agama dengan kemajuan sosial, budaya, dan teknologi. Di Indonesia, ketiga pandangan ini berkembang seiring dengan dinamika sejarah, kolonialisme, dan pengaruh Barat, masing-masing mengambil bentuk dan pendekatan yang khas dalam konteks lokal. Fundamentalisme menjadi respons terhadap modernisasi dan pengaruh asing, Sekularisme terwujud dalam pemisahan agama dari urusan negara, sementara Modernisme berusaha memadukan nilai-nilai Islam dengan kemajuan modern.Kata Kunci: Fundamentalisme, Sekularisme, Modernisme, Perkembangannya dalam Islam

Abstract

This article aims to describe the paradigm and scientific philosophy of State Islamic University of Imam Bonjol Padang that has just been transformed from State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) into State Islamic University (UIN). Hence, a qualitative method is used to gather data by using documentation and interview. In addition, a focus group discussion was employed to get valid information. The result of the study indicates that the  State Islamic University of Imam Bonjol adopts an interaction-dialogue paradigm. This offers every discipline to collaborate and produce integrated sciences by positioning Islam, cultures, and science as the sources of knowledge equally. Then, these three sources act together as the basis of knowledge to create benefits for humanity.

Abstract

This article aims at identifying various concepts of science at Islamic Universities in Indonesia, especially after the conversion of a number of State Islamic Institute (IAIN) into the State Islamic University (UIN). After analyzing the existing concepts and its shortcomings, this study offers a new pespective that is derived from Minangkabau local wisdom as an alternative. The study uses text analysis methods against various science concepts adopted by various state Islamic universities, such as “Web Spiders”; “Tree of Science”, and “Integration of Science” Through a comparative study between various opinions and work around the Minangkabau tradition, it was concluded that the current concepts being applied are mostly based on the dichotomy of science, where a discipline only applies in a particular period, and does not apply at other times. This sort of dichotomy in turn leads to a vacuum and underdevelopment, even shutting down the growth and progress of certain sciences. Therefore, this study offers a new scientific paradigm called “Tali Tigo Sapilin” which is based on local wisdom of Minangkabau culture with its characteristics, such as balance, synergy and collaboration.DOI: 10.15408/sdi.v23i1.2105

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research using a library research model which examines the analysis of the review of the verses of faith in Tafsir Salman. It can be concluded from this research that the interpretation of the verses of faith in Salman's Tafsir focuses more on the three surahs found in juz amma, namely surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and Al-Naas. Surah al-Ikhl?sh is related to monotheism rub?biyah and monotheism asm?' wa al- characteristic, the manifestation of the value of monotheism in this surah is: Allah is Ahad and Allah is al-Shamad. In Surah al-Falaq related to the manifestation of monotheism ul?hiyah, namely: prayer as a protector from anxiety and His creation, zakat as a protector from stinginess and envy, fasting is a protector from haste and the evils of the night, and pilgrimage is a protector from complaints and evil magic. Whereas in Surah al-N?s related to monotheism ul?hiyah, the points of embodiment of the value of monotheism which are illustrated in sura al-N?s are: al-mu'awwizatain the source of strength, and the creed as an antidote to anxiety in human shadr

Abstract

Muhammad Abduh was a reformer and thinker who was very influential in the history of Islamic thought. His thoughts have had a significant impact on various stages of people's thinking life including aspects of Al-Qur'an interpretation, education, social, politics, civilization and so on. But the focus of the discussion in this article is about thinking and its contribution to education because education for Abduh is very important in determining the wheel of progress for future generations. Abduh's belief in the power of reason made Muhammad Abduh apply a lot of understanding which said that humans have freedom of thought and action according to the teachings he brought. Abduh reformed various sectors, but his biggest reform was through education. Abduh made education the main way to purify the Islamic world which was polluted by taklid. This education reform by Muhammad Abduh aimed to restore reason to a proper position in the Islamic world, because a reform and purification of education will have a long-lasting impact. and continuously on Muslims.
