Abstract

The failure of forest and land rehabilitation activities has often been attributed to fires; however, this is not always the case. It may also be due to the recommended plant species being unsuitable for the habitat or lacking a scientific basis. To ensure the success of forest and land rehabilitation activities and achieve their goals, the paradigm must shift. Specifically, the selection or recommendation of plant species should align with the characteristics of the land and involve local communities, as such initiatives often fail without their participation. For this reason, an agroforestry system—rehabilitating forest areas by planting forestry and agricultural crops with local farmers—needs to be implemented. This study aims to analyze the land suitability classes for Candlenut (Aleurites moluccana WILLD) and Corn (Zea mays) as agroforestry crops in the Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK) of Lambung Mangkurat University. The significance of this research lies in providing solutions to prevent forest and land fires while addressing critical land issues in KHDTK ULM. In principle, land suitability classification is conducted by integrating the plant's growth requirements with the land's characteristics. Hence, this classification is often referred to as the "matching method." The research results indicate that, for candlenut plants, all observed land units fall into the "moderately suitable" actual land suitability class, limited by base saturation factors (S2nr), except for UL3, which falls under the "marginally suitable" class, also limited by base saturation (S3nr). In contrast, UL4 is classified as "highly suitable" (S1). If improvements are made, all observed land units could potentially be classified as "highly suitable" (S1), except for UL3, which would remain "moderately suitable" due to base saturation limitations (S2nr). For corn plants, land units UL1, UL2, and UL6 are classified as "moderately suitable," limited by temperature and base saturation factors (S2tc,nr). UL3 falls under the "marginally suitable" class, limited by temperature and base saturation (S3tc,nr), while UL5 is classified as "marginally suitable," limited by texture (S3rc). UL4, meanwhile, is "moderately suitable" with a temperature limitation (S2tc). With improvements, the potential land suitability for UL1, UL2, and UL4 would be "moderately suitable," limited by temperature (S2tc), while UL3 and UL5 would remain in the "marginally suitable" category, limited by texture (S3rc).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of business mentoring in shaping the resilience of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in South Kalimantan after the COVID-19 pandemic, with business legality serving as a moderating variable. The pandemic has tested the endurance of the informal sector, particularly MSMEs lacking formal legal status. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 250 MSME actors in South Kalimantan through questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that business legality—such as ownership of a Business Identification Number (NIB) or Micro and Small Business License (IUMK), P-IRT/BPOM certification, Intellectual Property Rights (trademark), and halal certification—has a positive and significant effect on MSME resilience. These legal recognitions serve as gateways to accessing financial support, ensuring operational sustainability, and creating partnership opportunities, among others. This study recommends strengthening MSME legalization programs as a strategic effort to enhance local economic resilience, emphasizing the critical role of human resources who provide mentoring to build the capacity of MSME actors in South Kalimantan

Abstract

Kesehatan tanaman menjadi aspek krusial dalam menjaga keberlangsungan ekosistem dan keseimbangan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesehatan, tipe, dan tingkat kerusakan tanaman obat non-endemik di Kebun Raya Banua, Kalimantan Selatan. Metode pengukuran menggunakan Nilai Indeks Kerusakan (NIK) dengan kriteria nilai 0-5 untuk menentukan tingkat kesehatan tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman obat non-endemik di Kebun Raya Banua umumnya memiliki tingkat kesehatan yang baik dengan NIK berkisar antara 0-5. Hasil Penelitian identifikasi kerusakan menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan tertinggi terjadi pada bagian daun (72%), dengan tipe kerusakan utama adalah perubahan warna daun (53%) dan tingkat keparahan terbesar berkisar antara 01-19% (64%).  Identifikasi kerusakan menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan terutama terjadi pada bagian daun, dengan tipe kerusakan dominan berupa perubahan warna. Tingkat keparahan kerusakan cenderung ringan hingga sedang, dengan persentase kerusakan sebesar 01-19%. Penelitian ini memiliki manfaat signifikan dalam memberikan informasi mengenai kondisi kesehatan dan kerusakan tanaman obat non-endemik, yang dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk merancang strategi pengendalian dan pencegahan kerusakan tanaman. Upaya-upaya ini penting untuk menjaga keberlanjutan kebun raya dan ketersediaan sumber daya tanaman obat yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Watershed management is an important aspect in the preservation of natural resources. The main focus is the protection of biological resources, soil, and water from degradation. The Tabunio watershed, under BPDAS Barito, has increased critical land, affecting water availability and community welfare. According to Government Regulation Number 37/2012, watershed rehabilitation is focused on areas with high degradation. Watershed rehabilitation planting includes plant types such as durian, hazelnut, and cashew. However, the suitability of the land for this type of plant has not been studied. This study aims to analyze the level or class of land suitability of durian (Durio zibethinus), candlenut (Aleurites moluccana), cashew (Anacardium occidentale) in each unit of watershed rehabilitation land PT Borneo Indobara, Sungai Jelai Village. This research was conducted in Tabunio Watershed, Tambang ulang District, Tanah Laut Regency. Soil sampling is carried out by purposive sampling method with data processing using tabulation method and data analysis is carried out by Matching method. The results showed that in land unit 1, durian and candlenut plants included in the marginal land suitability class (S3) while land unit 2 included in the Quite appropriate class (S2). In land units 3 and 4 belong to marginal appropriate class (S3) and in land unit 5 belong to current non-conforming class (N1). In land units 1 and 2, cashew plants are included in the land suitability class, namely Marginal Match (S3), while in land units 3 and 4 are included in Marginal Suitability class (S3). The results of this research can be used as information to PT Borneo Indobara and PT Hutan Rindang Banua to determine the management of forests in the area.Pengelolaan Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) merupakan aspek penting dalam pelestarian sumber daya alam. Fokus utama adalah perlindungan sumber daya hayati, tanah, dan air dari degradasi. DAS Tabunio, di bawah BPDAS Barito, mengalami peningkatan lahan kritis, mempengaruhi ketersediaan air dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Menurut PP Nomor 37/2012, rehabilitasi DAS difokuskan pada daerah dengan degradasi tinggi. Penanaman rehabilitasi DAS mencakup jenis tanaman seperti durian, kemiri, dan jambu mete. Namun, kesesuaian lahan untuk jenis tanaman ini belum diteliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat atau kelas kesesuaian lahan jenis tanaman durian (Durio zibethinus), kemiri (Aleurites moluccana), jambu mete (Anacardium occidentale) pada setiap unit lahan rehabilitasi DAS PT Borneo Indobara, Desa Sungai Jelai. Penelitian ini dilakukan di DAS Tabunio, Kecamatan Tambang Ulang Kabupaten Tanah laut. Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dengan pengolahan data menggunakan metode tabulasi dan analisis data dilakukan dengan metode Matching. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada unit lahan 1 jenis tanaman durian dan kemiri termasuk kelas kesesuaian lahan Sesuai marjinal (S3) sedangkan unit lahan 2 termasuk kelas Cukup sesuai (S2). Pada unit lahan 3 dan 4 termasuk kelas Sesuai marjinal  (S3) dan pada unit lahan 5  termasuk kelas Tidak sesuai saat ini (N1).Pada unit lahan 1 dan 2 jenis tanaman jambu mete termasuk kelas kesesuaian lahan yaitu Sesuai marjinal  (S3) sedangkan pada unit lahan 3 dan 4 termasuk kelas Sesuai marjinal  (S3). Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan informasi kepada pihak PT Borneo Indobara dan PT Hutan Rindang Banua untuk menentukan pengelolaan pada hutan di wilayah tersebut

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi jenis anggrek, menganalisis sebaran, serta menilai keanekaragaman dan keseragaman anggrek di Lembah Kahung, Desa Belangian, Kabupaten Banjar, Kalimantan Selatan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari Juni hingga November 2024 di Desa Belangian, Kecamatan Aranio. Objek yang diamati meliputi jenis anggrek dan pohon inangnya. Peta tematik habitat anggrek dibuat menggunakan data spasial yang diklasifikasi berdasarkan Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). Jumlah sampel plot ditentukan dengan Intensitas Sampling (IS) sebesar 0,01% dari luas wilayah berkerapatan sangat rapat yang mewakili habitat anggrek. Plot ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling dengan menyusuri jalur pendakian. Jika ditemukan anggrek, dibuat plot berukuran 20 m x 20 m. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi jenis anggrek, jumlah, habitat (epifit atau terestrial), dan jenis pohon inangnya. Hasil penelitian menemukan 16 jenis anggrek, terdiri dari 15 jenis epifit dari 11 genus dan 1 jenis terestrial. Anggrek-anggrek ini tumbuh pada 10 jenis pohon inang. Pola sebaran anggrek di Lembah Kahung sebagian besar acak (14 jenis), sedangkan pola berkelompok dan seragam masing-masing ditunjukkan oleh 1 jenis anggrek. Indeks keanekaragaman anggrek termasuk sedang, sedangkan indeks keseragaman tinggi, yang menunjukkan distribusi jenis anggrek cukup merata di kawasan tersebut.
