Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya tingkat memahami siswa sekolah dasar yang diamati dan diwawancarai selama pelaksanaan program kampus mengajar angkatan tujuh. Situasi ini diduga disebabkan oleh kegiatan numerasi yang belum optimal dan kurangnya pemanfaatan sumber belajar yang autentik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan numerasi menggunakan media manipulatif bagi siswa sekolah dasar. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pembelajaran matematika perlu diberikan kepada semua siswa untuk membekali siswa dengan kemampuan memahami konsep matematika menjelaskan keterkaitan antara konsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep matematika secara akurat,efisien ,dan tepat dalam memecahkan masalah. Salah satu upaya dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu dengan cara menggunakan media manipulatif dalam proses pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is something that can be used to combine mathematics with culture. So that culture & mathematics can go hand in hand & be more easily understood by students. The aim of this research is to find out what role ethnomathematics plays in mathematics learning and to be able to change students' negative defects regarding mathematics. The research method used is the study method (library research) itself, which is a method of collecting, studying, & knowing theories based on various kinds of literature contained in a study. This research is secondary data which is originally based on published research articles and is related using a predetermined title. Data collected using free, involved listening, speaking and note-taking techniques. The results of this research can determine the crucial role of ethnomathematics in mathematics learning. The conclusion of this research is that we can understand the role of ethnomathematics in mathematics learning, namely that ethnomathematics can connect mathematics with culture, change negative defects about mathematics, make students more enthusiastic about participating in mathematics learning and can train teachers to be creative & innovative in expressing mathematical material. using existing culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the function of ethnomathematics in learning mathematics in the 2013 curriculum. This research uses library research, observation and documentation as its methods. Secondary data is information that has been collected and examined from various sources including research reports, books, journals, websites, and other related materials and pays attention to accurately data regarding ethnomathematics in learning mathematics. The three stages of data analysis used in this research are organization, synthesis, and identification. (1) Ethnomathematics helps the preservation and continuation of cultural traditions in mathematics education, according to research findings. (2) Because ethnomathematics is related to the notion of mathematics in society, it can be taught along with traditional mathematics. (3) Because it allows students' experiences as members of cultural communities to have contextual meaning, ethnomathematics in culture-based mathematics learning will be an interesting, entertaining, and novel learning approach.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding in solving mathematical story problems using the Inquiry-based learning model for Grade VII students at SMPN 4 Bajawa. The study employed an experimental design with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through document recording, observation, questionnaire, and test methods. The results showed that the Inquiry-based learning model can enhance students' learning activities and academic achievement. Students' learning activities increased with the use of the Inquiry-based learning model, and their academic achievement also improved. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in students' learning activities and academic achievement with the use of the Inquiry-based learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Mauponggo through the application of a contextual learning model. The contextual learning model is expected to help students relate learning material to everyday life, thereby increasing their understanding and motivation to learn. The method used in this research is classroom action research (PTK) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results show that the application of the contextual learning model can improve student learning outcomes significantly. The average student score before implementing this model was 65, and after the first cycle it increased to 75, and in the second cycle it reached 85. Apart from that, student participation in the learning process also increased, where students were more active in interacting and discussing in class. The contextual learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Mauponggo. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers apply this model in the learning process to improve the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

It is important for students to master higher order thinking skills. However, based on the results of a study from PISA in 2018, Indonesia is ranked below the OECD average. One of the reasons for the low PISA test results obtained by Indonesia is the low level of high-order thinking skills. The low level of Higher Order Thinking Ability is due to the fact that in the mathematics learning process students are only taught to memorize, rewrite and do homework or exercises, not to be trained more deeply about their Higher Order Thinking Ability and to solve problems relevant to the material being taught. The method used in this research is to use the literature review method. This study aims to determine the relevant learning methods and can improve students' higher order thinking skills. The writing method used is Literature Review, namely by reviewing previous journals that are relevant to the title and purpose of writing. From the studies that have been carried out, there are three lessons that are in line with the goals of Higher-Level Thinking Skills and can improve Higher-Level Thinking Skills, which include Scientific Learning, Problem Posing Learning Approach, and Problem-Based Learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika SMA dengan pendekatan kontekstual sebagai perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang layak dan efektif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Research and Development. Penelitian pengembangan menggunakan modifikasi model Thiagaran atau lebih dikenal dengan 4D dengan tahap pendefisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (dessiminate).Sebelum diujicobakan di lapangan, perangkat pembelajaran matematika SMA dengan pendekatan kontekstual terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Selain itu diperlukan juga angket tanggapan siswa mengenai media tersebut. Hasil dari validasi ahli dan angket siswa sebagian besar berkriteria sangat baik. Jadi perangkat pembelajaran matematika tersebut valid untuk diujicobakan. Uji keefektifan media menggunakan uji t pihak kanan yang hasil analisisnya diperoleh Ho ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran matematika SMA dengan pendekatan kontekstual lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi trigonometri.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai Negara multikultural memiliki potensi besar dalam mengintegrasikan budaya lokal kedalam pembelajaran matematika melalaui pendekatan etnomatematika. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya membantu memahami konsep abstrak tetapi juga berpotensi meningkatakan aspek afektif, khususnya efisiasi diri siswa. Namun, penelitian sebelumnya lebih banyak menekankan hasil belajar komunitif, sementara kajian sistematis mengenai pengaruh etnomatematika terhadap kepercayaan diri masih terbatas dan menunjukan hasil yang beragam berdasarkan konteks dan jenjang pendidikan seperti kemampuan penalaran numerasi, kemampuan berpikir kritis, kemampuan literasi matematika, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pembelajaran matematika berbasis etnomatematika terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa melalui Systematic Literature Review (SLR) mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA 2020. Penelusuran dilakukan pada Google Scholar, DOAJ, ERIC, dan SINTA, menghasilkan 120 artikel awal. Setelah proses seleksi (penghapusan duplikasi, penyaringan judul dan abtrak, serta penilaian kelayakan), diperoleh 20 artikel yang dianalisis secara naratif. Hasil menunjukan bahwa etnomatematika secara konsisten meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dari siswa, ditandai dengan meningkatnya keyakinan diri, partisipasi aktif, dan menurunnya kecemasan matematika. Efektivitasnya bervariasi menurut jenjang pendidikan dan konteks budaya, serta lebih optimal ketika dikombinasikan dengan model pembelajaran aktif seperti Problem Based Learning dan Project Based Learning. Selain sebagai luaran, kepercayaan diri juga berperan sebagai media autor dalam peningkatan hasil belajar matematika. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwa etnomatematika tidak hanya memperkuat pemahaman konsep, tetapi juga meningkatkan aspek afektif siswa khususnya efisiasi diri melalui pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan bermakna. Kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya efisiasi diri sebagai luaran pembelajaran sekaligus mendorong integrasi budaya lokal dan pembelajaran aktif agar lebih inklusif dan memberdayakan. Dengan demikian, etnomatematika merupakan pendekatan yang relevan untuk mendukung pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual dan berorientasi pada penguatan aspek afektif siswa.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent challenge of fostering Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in mathematics learning, particularly in social arithmetic topics, where conventional instructional materials often fail to promote analytical and evaluative thinking. This research aims to develop and validate a student worksheet (LKPD) grounded in the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, designed to systematically support the development of HOTS through contextual problem-solving and guided reinvention processes. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) design with the ADDIE model, the study involved iterative stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, incorporating both qualitative feedback and quantitative assessment. The product was validated by subject matter and media experts, yielding high validity scores (3.78 and 3.54, respectively), indicating strong alignment with pedagogical and content standards. Field implementation with seventh-grade students demonstrated high practicality, reflected in a positive response rate of 93.76%. More importantly, the integration of contextual mathematical tasks facilitated students’ engagement in higher-order cognitive processes, including analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving within real-life scenarios. These findings suggest that the developed LKPD not only meets feasibility criteria but also functions as an effective pedagogical design that bridges theoretical principles of RME with HOTS-oriented instruction. This study contributes to mathematics education by offering an empirically validated instructional design that enhances cognitive engagement and supports meaningful learning in secondary education contexts.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent challenge of students’ low conceptual understanding in geometry, particularly in triangles and quadrilaterals, which is often attributed to the dominance of procedural teaching and limited collaborative engagement. Although collaborative learning and Realistic Mathematics Education have been widely examined, their integration into structured teaching materials remains underexplored, especially in facilitating deeper conceptual understanding. This study aims to develop and evaluate collaborative learning-based teaching materials grounded in a realistic mathematics approach to enhance students’ conceptual understanding. The research employed a Research and Development design using the ADDIE model, involving analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Bajawa. Data were collected through expert validation, classroom observation, and student and teacher response questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential approaches. The findings indicate that the developed materials achieved high validity (96% from material experts and 100% from media experts) and strong practicality (student response 100% and teacher response 92%). Furthermore, the implementation results demonstrate a substantial improvement in students’ conceptual understanding, with an average achievement categorized as highly effective. These results suggest that integrating collaborative learning with realistic mathematical contexts provides a meaningful learning experience that supports active engagement and conceptual construction. This study contributes to mathematics education by offering an empirically validated instructional design that bridges collaborative interaction and contextual learning to improve conceptual understanding.
