Abstract

Introduction: The quality of healthcare services hospital staff provides is essential for advancing a hospital as a healthcare service provider. Work-related stress experienced by healthcare workers due to heavy workloads can impact patient care quality. This study examines the relationship between work-related stress among healthcare workers and service quality at UPT Puskesmas Medan Sunggal in 2023. Method: This study employs a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consists of 50 respondents, and a total sampling technique was applied, resulting in a sample size of 50 respondents. Data analysis includes univariate and bivariate analyses. Results: The chi-square statistical test revealed a significant relationship between work-related stress and service quality, with a p-value of 0.006 < α (0.05). This indicates a significant correlation between healthcare workers' stress levels and the quality of services at UPT Puskesmas Medan Sunggal in 2023. Conclusion: There is an important relationship between healthcare workers' stress levels and service quality at UPT Puskesmas Medan Sunggal. Most healthcare workers experience moderate stress (52%), while 66% of respondents express dissatisfaction with the services. The chi-square test confirms a significant association between these variables (p-value 0.006 < 0.05), highlighting the need for effective stress management strategies to improve service quality.

Abstract

Because the hospital has a huge workface with a significant risk of occupational illnesses or work accidents, it is required to take safeguards, such as adopting work safety services and building emergency response management. Hospitals face a range of complex labor concerns, including varying risks of occupational disease and even work-related accidents depending on the kind of employment, thus they are required to adopt initiatives to promote Hospital Occupational Health and Safety (K3RS). Therefore, it is necessary to provide work safety services and develop emergency response management in hospital so that work accidents and occupational diseases can be prevented. This Study aims to determine the relationship between occupational safety services and development emergency response management with workface performance at special eye hospital medan Baru in 2022 with a cross sectional approach.

Abstract

Stres kerja berhubungan dengan kesehatan kerja, kecelakaan ditempat kerja, organizational strain dalam bentuk absensi, penurunan performa kerja. Dokter internship adalah orang yang memilki risiko tinggi berdampak stres kerja karena selama menjalani menjalani internship terdapat perbedaan antara ekspektasi dan realita yang membuat mereka frustasi namun tidak ada dapat dilakukan untuk mengubah keadaan itu semua sehingga menyebabkan perasaan mereka tertekan (stres). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan tingkat stres dokter internship tersebut. Adapun partisipan dari penelitian ini adalah 95 orang dokter intrenship RS Mitra Sehat Tanjung Morawa yang bekerja selama minimal 3 bulan dan tempat tinggal diluar kota Tanjung Morawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur stress kerja dengan reliabilitas 0.91. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 44,21% dokter berada pada tingkat stres sedang, artinya mereka mengalami stres yang masih dapat dihadapi sehingga tidak dapat menimbulkan gangguan fisik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, hal yang paling mengganggu para dokter internsip adalah upah yang tidak sesuai dengan pekerjaan yang mereka kerjakan. Selain itu ketidakjelasan peran mereka di rumah sakit pun menjadi salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan stres. Terdapat 27,37% dokter internsip yang berada pada kategori agak tinggi dan 3,16% pada tingkat tinggi, artinya mereka dapat berpotensi menimbulkan gangguan fisik. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan oleh Institusi yang berkaitan dengan dokter internsip agar memperhatikan aspek-aspek yang berkaitan dengan stress kerja.
