Abstract

This community service and research project aims to enhance the digital capabilities of the Pematang Johar Rice Field Tourism Village community through strengthened branding and digital marketing. The activity was motivated by the significant decline in tourist visits during the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted the need for more adaptive promotional strategies. The study employed a descriptive-participatory approach consisting of observation, socialization, training, and mentoring activities. A total of 60 participants were involved in training sessions covering visual content production, social media management, Google Maps optimization, and village website development. Pre-test results indicated low levels of digital literacy (40/100), while post-test scores increased sharply to 90/100 after the mentoring sessions. Beyond technical improvements, the program also led to social transformation, including the formation of a village digital team, increased collaboration among MSMEs, and the establishment of a new branding identity: “Pematang Johar – Rice Field Tourism on the Outskirts of Medan City.” The outcomes demonstrate that digital marketing is an effective strategy for promoting tourist villages and supporting sustainable local economic growth.

Abstract

One of Indonesia's unsolved problems is corruption. Corruption is still a problem and still cannot be resolved until now. In North Sumatra until 2022 the number of regional heads involved in corruption cases was 17 people. For this reason, in eradicating corruption in the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation Number 33 of 2019 concerning the obligation of universities to carry out anti-corruption education programs and the KPK in its strategic plan for 2020 to 2024 also makes prevention efforts through educational approaches, anti-corruption campaigns and socialization. For this reason, KPK encourages universities to conduct anti-corruption education for students to prevent early on. The writing method uses descriptive analysis. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The questionnaire contained 11 questions where 4 questions related to identity and 7 core questions. from the results obtained that 81.7% of students answered that there was a change in understanding of the anti-corruption movement after attending the lesson. To maintain continuity and increase understanding of anti-corruption, students hope that there are three activities facilitated by universities, the first is holding an anti-corruption school, creating special discussion groups on anti-corruption and creating special courses on anti-corruption education in universities.

Abstract

Pengelolaan aset Kampung Wisata Sawah Desa Pematang Johar masih menghadapi kendala berupa belum tersedianya inventaris aset yang terdokumentasi, kode identifikasi aset, dan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) sehingga berpotensi menurunkan akuntabilitas pengelolaan aset. Pengabdian ini bertujuan memperkuat tata kelola aset melalui penerapan sistem pengendalian internal berbasis SOP. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Learning and Action Research (PALAR) dengan tahapan identifikasi kebutuhan, inventarisasi aset, penyusunan buku inventaris, pemberian kode aset, penyusunan SOP, pelatihan, pendampingan implementasi, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tersusunnya buku inventaris aset, diterapkannya kode inventaris pada aset yang teridentifikasi, tersusunnya SOP Pengelolaan Aset, serta meningkatnya pemahaman dan kemampuan pengelola dalam menerapkan administrasi aset berbasis pengendalian internal. Program ini berkontribusi terhadap terciptanya tata kelola aset yang lebih tertib, transparan, akuntabel, dan berkelanjutan pada Kampung Wisata Sawah.
