Abstract

Mung bean plants include legume plants whose roots have root nodules which are a symbiosis between the roots and Rhizobium japonicum bacteria. Root nodules function to fix free nitrogen elements, besides that they can also fertilize the soil because they can save the use of NH3 available in the soil and provide nitrogen elements to the soil.Rhizobium is a genus of soil bacteria that are able to symbiotize with plants. There are many types of Rhizobium bacteria, especially in soils with high organic matter content. This study was conducted to determine the compatibility of Rhizobium japonic in mung bean plants (Vigna radiata L) with Rhizobium sp grown on Mucuna bracteata land. To determine the effect of some phosphate fertilizers on the modulation of mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) The results showed that the application of Rhizobium japonicum on mung bean (Vigna radiata L) with Mucuna bracteata land did not show a significantly different adjustment (compatibility) to the height and number of plant leaves. The P0 treatment showed significant differences in the root nodule parameters of the P1, P2 and P3 treatments. Phosphate fertilizer with 50% RP TSP content is the best composition.

Abstract

Pengukuran prestasi kerja panen kelapa sawit di lapangan perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui tolak ukur prestasi kerja yang telah dicapai. Faktor penentu prestasi kerja perlu diketahui sebab menentukan bentuk kebijakan yang dapat dilakukan perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Usia dan Pengalaman Kerja terhadap Prestasi Kerja Panen Kelapa Sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Adolina PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV pada Afdeling III dan IV. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Deskriptif Kuantitatif yaitu data-data yang terkumpul dalam penelitian ini di uji dengan menggunakan analisis statistik. Penelitian ini terdiri dari sampel karyawan yang berjumlah 30 karyawan panen. Sampel yang diambil dengan menggunakan Teknik quota purposive sampling yaitu peneliti menggunakan pertimbangan sendiri secara sengaja dalam memilih anggota populasi. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh usia dan pengalaman kerja terhadap prestasi kerja panen kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) di Afdeling III dan IV Kebun Adolina PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV berpengaruh signifikan pada tahun 2021 dengan nilai Sig 0,019 dan 0,024 pada tahun 2022 dengan nilai Sig 0,023 dan 0,036 dengan korelasi sedang dan korelasi rendah terhadap prestasi kerja panen kelapa sawit

Abstract

Rainfall is high every year, ranging from 2000 – 2500 mm/year and evenly distributed throughout the year. Falling rain will cause the successive opening of leaves that have not yet bloomed, resulting in the formation of leaves which will then stimulate the formation of flowers. Thus, sufficient rainfall in terms of quantity and distribution will cause oil palm plants to be able to produce optimally. This research method uses SPSS Windows 25, namely Multiple Linear Regression and Correlation analysis. Where the significant value of the influence of rainfall (X1) on productivity (Y) is 0.912 with a correlation value of 0.046. The significant value of rainy days (X2) on productivity (Y) is 0.967 with a correlation value of 0.267. The significant value of the effect of dry spell (X3) on productivity (Y) is 0.609 with a correlation value of 0.457. With the results of this research, the influence of rainfall, rainy days and dry spell on palm oil productivity has a positive effect and has sufficient correlation with productivity

Abstract

Fruit Set merupakan istilah yang sering sekali digunakan dalam dunia perkebunan kelapa sawit dimana arti dari fruit set itu sendiri adalah rasio/perbandingan buah yang jadi akibat dari penyerbukan serangga penyerbuk E. kamerunicus Faust terhadap buah keseluruhan dalam satu tandan termasuk buah yang partenokarpi/mantel. Fruit set yang baik pada tanaman kelapa sawit adalah diatas 75%, semakin tinggi nilai Fruit Set maka berat serta ukuran tandan akan semakin meningkat. Tugas Akhir Ini Membahas Tentang Evaluasi Fruit Set Tandan Buah Segar Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) Pada Tanaman Perlakuan Infus Akar Berbahan Aktif Asefat. Penelitian Ini Bertujuan Untuk Melakukan Evaluasi dan mengetahui Dampak Yang Ditimbulkan Dari Penggunaan Insektisida Asefat Secara Infus Akar Terhadap Pembentukan Fruit Set Tandan Buah Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2023 sampai dengan Februari 2024 yang berlokasikan di kebun praktek institut teknologi sawit indonesia (ITSI).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze fertilization costs for immature oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) at the Tanjung Garbus Plantation Afdeling 2, PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional 2 focuses on fertilizer, labor, and transportation costs. The method used is quantitative descriptive analysis, with secondary data collection from the company. The results show that the total fertilization cost in the 2018 planting year at Afdeling 2 amounted to IDR 1,353,060,492. The breakdown of costs includes fertilizer purchases amounting to IDR 1,304,734,345, transportation costs of IDR 6,026,147, and labor costs of IDR 256,643. The fertilization cost per hectare in the 2018 planting year is IDR 1,353,060,492. The largest proportion of the total cost is fertilizer costs, which account for 96% of the total fertilization operation cost. This study provides a clear overview of cost allocation in oil palm fertilization during the immature stage (TBM).

Abstract

Hamlet 4 Sialang Village, Bangun Purba Subdistrict, Deli Serdang is an area where most of its residents have income in the agricultural sector. But in the implementation of agriculture, this hamlet has not utilized natural products, in this case cow dung, as a basic ingredient for organic fertilizer that is used in its own agriculture or traded. So this community service report aims to enable the people of Thekelan Hamlet to make compost made from cow dung to improve agriculture and the community's economy. The community service method is carried out in three stages; preparation stage, socialization and application stage, and final stage. The preparation stage was carried out by making a composting module. The socialization stage is carried out in community meetings and special socialization, as well as training in making compost from fermentation using EM4 and starbio on cow dung. The final stage consists of making a final report. The expected result is that the community of Dusun 4 Sialang Village is able to make solid compost made from cow dung that can be used in agriculture, as well as commercialized so that it can improve the community's economy.

Abstract

This community service initiative aimed to enhance the self-sufficiency of Buntu Bayu Village by establishing home pharmacies, producing liquid organic fertilizer (POC), and creating botanical pesticides. Participatory training and hands-on practices were employed, utilizing local resources such as medicinal plants, organic waste, and natural ingredients for pesticides. The results demonstrated increased community awareness in utilizing home gardens for medicinal plants, reduced reliance on chemical fertilizers through POC, and the effectiveness of botanical pesticides in pest control. The program not only supported family health and sustainable agriculture but also created economic opportunities based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan penting penghasil minyak nabati yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi dan permintaan pasar yang terus meningkat. Namun produktivitas kelapa sawit sering terkendala oleh adanya gangguan hama dan penyakit, salah satunya kumbang tanduk (Oryctes rhinoceros) yang menjadi hama utama pada tanaman kelapa sawit muda. Serangan hama ini dapat menyebabkan kerusakan serius pada titik tumbuh, menghambat proses fotosintesis, menurunkan hasil panen, memperpanjang masa tanaman belum menghasilkan, bahkan menyebabkan kematian tanaman. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pengendalian hama dengan pemasangan perangkap feromon (ferotrap) di Desa Baja Dolok, Kecamatan Sipispis, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui wawancara, observasi langsung, serta sosialisasi bersama petani dan perangkat desa, dengan tujuan memberikan alternatif solusi pengendalian hama yang lebih efektif, ramah lingkungan, dan hemat biaya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan perangkap feromon mampu menurunkan populasi kumbang tanduk secara signifikan dan mendapat respon positif dari masyarakat. Selain itu, partisipasi aktif petani sangat mendukung keberhasilan program, meskipun efektivitas ferotrap tetap dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan seperti curah hujan dan kelembaban. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini terbukti memberikan manfaat nyata bagi petani serta meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka mengenai teknik pengendalian hama terpadu yang berkelanjutan.
