Abstract

Supplementary foods beside of rice that meet the body's nutrition, among others, can be sourced from vegetables and fruit. The sustainable food house movement initiated by the government through the main women-community program has greatly helped to reduce the impact of this problem. Sustainable food house is a movement to grow vegetables and fruit in the yard of the house as an effort to fulfill the people's nutrition which can be consumed economically without having to buy but through the movement to plant and harvest fruits and vegetables. Fulfillment of plant seeds as a source of material for this movement is one of the limiting factors for the success of this program. The activity of women community that we do is making the "Crop House" as a village nursery. This crop of bamboo and polyvinyl is very economical because the raw materials are from bamboo, where these raw materials are easily obtained in the village.

Abstract

Suatu sistem pengawasan lalu lintas kereta api di persimpangan sudah menjadi hal mutlak yang harus disediakan baik secara manual maupun otomatis, menggunakan sumber daya manusia atau hanya memanfaatkan peralatan elektrik dan elektronik. Telah banyak penelitian yang memanfaatkan perangkat elektronik dalam berbagai model dan aktualisasi sebenarnya, diantaranya penggunaan sensor ultrasonik, sensor infra merah, mikropon, sensor GPS, kamera, dan sensor magnetik. Adapun dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sensor accelerometer untuk mendeteksi getaran yang dihasilkan oleh kereta api yang dalam hal ini adalah getaran rel. Pola frekuensi getaran rel tersebut akan dibedakan antara kereta api dengan pola getaran yang disebabkan oleh kendaraan lain yang melintasi jalan persimpangan rel yakni truk, mobil, dan sepeda motor. Dengan algoritma jaringan syaraf tiruan (neural network), hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pola getaran rel yang dihasilkan oleh kereta api dapat dibedakan dari kendaraan lain. Sedangkan jarak terjauh yang dapat dideteksi oleh sensor accelerometer MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical-system) ini adalah sebesar 74 meter. Diharapkan penggunaan sensor yang lebih sensitif dan metode yang lebih mutakhir dapat memperkirakan kedatangan kereta api pada jarak yang lebih jauh untuk penyiapan kondisi perlintasan sebelum kereta api melewati persimpangan.

Abstract

One automatic system for monitoring the presence of vehicles in a parking zone is an indispensable mean of an area such as services building, institutions, and other organizations, which accomodated many vehicles. A tracking record is the most important matter when the vehicle leaves the parking area. Manually, one parking officer will be needed to do the job. However, when using such an automated parking system, then this officers' job can be replaced. The vehicle license plate recording system is designed to use electronic-vision devices as a fundamental device for detecting the presence of vehicle. Vehicle license plates are detected using a digital camera which captured by the camera module on the Raspberry-Pi mini-pc microcontroller device, in addition to the detection of ultrasonic sensors that capture the position of vehicle objects. The process of reading vehicle numbers in an intelligent system of artificial neural networks to extracts each character of the license plate so that each number and letter can be recognized. Meanwhile, the detection of the ultrasonic parking sensor is a complementary confirmation indicating the presence of a vehicle object being monitored. The combination of solar power as the power supply for this automatic system is an important set-up that makes the system's electricity able to run independently. This monitoring system is prepared to help increase vehicle security automatically.

Abstract

The low productivity of rainfed lowland rice during the dry season, a critical factor in reduced farmer income and compromised food security, has been effectively addressed by a community team through the introduction of an automatic solar-powered irrigation system. This innovative approach, encompassing group discussions, construction of the irrigation system, and training in chilli cultivation with the new technology, has significantly enhanced crop yield and farmer income. Specifically, the technology has doubled farmers' earnings outside the rainy season, with chilli cultivation yielding 6.75 t/ha and generating IDR46,182,061 in income. The economic viability of this technology is underscored by its positive net present value (NPV) of IDR154,918,858, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 36\%—surpassing the 6\% discount rate—a profitability index (PI) of 1.99, and a payback period (PP) of 2.5 years. The overwhelming positive response from farmers, with 53\% planning to adopt this technology in the upcoming dry season, either individually or in collaboration, highlights its effectiveness in not only boosting income but also in fostering a positive attitude towards innovative cultivation practices in challenging conditions.

Abstract

Aspek utama dari setiap budidaya tanaman adalah proses irigasi, yang harus dikelola dengan tepat. Salah satu metode penting yang banyak digunakan adalah irigasi tetes. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode logika fuzzy Takagi-Sugeno untuk mengoptimalkan durasi irigasi menggunakan sensor kelembaban tanah dan suhu pada sistem irigasi tetes. Data yang dihasilkan dari 10 set pengukuran dengan kelembaban tanah rata-rata 60,14%, suhu 32,84°C, dan durasi irigasi 321 detik. Metode logika fuzzy Takagi-Sugeno menganalisis data dan menghasilkan durasi irigasi yang optimal berdasarkan aturan fuzzy yang telah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode ini dapat menangani variabilitas kondisi lingkungan dengan menyesuaikan durasi irigasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan tanaman. Penerapan metode logika fuzzy Takagi-Sugeno pada sistem irigasi tetes otomatis ini telah meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air, mengurangi biaya operasional, dan mendukung keberlanjutan pertanian dalam inovasi pertanian modern. Namun, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan data yang lebih luas dari berbagai kondisi lingkungan dan jenis tanaman untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan yang lebih akurat dan komprehensif.

Abstract

Selecting outstanding students is essential in fostering appreciation and motivation within the school environment. Nevertheless, many educational institutions continue to use manual assessment methods, which are often subjective and inefficient. This research focuses on the development of a web-based decision support system designed to assist in the selection process at a in Indonesia. The system integrates the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) technique to generate student rankings based on preference scores, while the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method is applied to assign weight values to the evaluation criteria, including academic performance, attendance, behavior, and extracurricular involvement. Data for this study were collected through interviews, direct observation, and student records. The application was developed using PHP for the backend, MySQL for database handling, and Bootstrap for the user interface design. The system’s functionality was verified using black box testing, which confirmed that all features operated correctly. Additionally, the system was evaluated against the manual selection process conducted by the school, and the results showed an accuracy level of 80% in matching student rankings. This system proves to be a practical and structured solution for enhancing the transparency and objectivity of student achievement evaluations.

Abstract

Fire is a harmful and difficult-to-control blaze. Recently, the occurrence of fires has often been caused by factors such as human error. This research aims to develop a decision support system to help identify fire-prone areas in the village of Made, Lamongan Regency. The study incorporates several criteria, including distance from water sources, road width, building materials, and population density. Data for this research was collected from all 27 districts, 12 sub-districts, and 476 villages in Lamongan Regency.The development of this system begins with the collection of relevant data, including the distance from water sources, road width, building materials, and population density in the village of Made. The subsequent step involves designing the decision support system using the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) method. The calculation of fire-prone areas is carried out using the FAHP method. Subsequently, a web-based system is built using the PHP programming language. The results indicate that this system is capable of providing information on fire-prone areas with an average user satisfaction rate of 81.6%.                                                                                         Keywords  Decision Support System, Fire, Lamongan, FAHP

Abstract

Residents of Khayangan Residence Cepu typically use water from natural sources such as rivers, lakes, and wells, often unaware of the potential dangers posed by contaminated water. To address this, a detection system is proposed to monitor and provide real-time information on water quality using Turbidity and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sensors. The system is developed using the Waterfall methodology, which ensures a structured and systematic approach, with each stage of development completed before proceeding to the next. This minimizes errors and enhances the accuracy of the final system. The IoT-based system utilizes Turbidity and TDS sensors connected to an ESP32 microcontroller, which processes data every 3 seconds and displays it on a website. The system measures water quality, with recorded values of PPM at 276, TDS at 0.34, and Turbidity at 16.08. This real-time monitoring system provides a straightforward process for assessing water quality in the housing complex, ensuring that residents have access to safe and clean water. The aim is to empower residents to make informed decisions about water use, thereby enhancing efficiency and safety in daily water consumption. Keywords-  ESP32; Turbidity Sensor; and TDS Sensor

Abstract

This research entitled “Vehicle License Plate Character Recognition Using OpenCV and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)” aims to develop an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system by integrating OpenCV and CNN. The main focus is the application of the You Only Look Once (YOLO) v8 method to detect objects and text in real-time, and the use of EasyOCR to recognize characters. This system is designed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of vehicle license plate recognition. The results of the study showed an average accuracy level of Precision of 40.5%, Recall 100%, and Accuracy 42.16%. These results show that although the model successfully detects all vehicle license plates (with 100% recall), low precision indicates that there are quite a lot of false positives or errors in detection which results in a decrease in the overall accuracy rate. Abstract

The Decision Support System (DSS) is a technology utilized to address the issue of determining road improvement priorities. In this context, DSS will be used to integrate various road assessment criteria and provide recommendations for repair priorities based on proven methods. The aim of this study is to design a decision support system for prioritizing road repairs in Lamongan Regency and to implement this system effectively. The Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method was chosen for its ability to handle multiple criteria and provide measurable evaluations of alternative solutions. The criteria used in this research include road condition, traffic volume, and socio-economic impact. The results of this system demonstrate a prioritization order for road repairs that can assist in more efficient decision-making, focusing on the most urgent needs. This research is expected to contribute to improving the efficiency of road infrastructure management and to aid authorities in the planning and execution of road repairs.
