Abstract

Human behavior comes out as the result of a continuous interaction between human and his environment. This research aims to capture personal health behavior (PHB) status of employees from FMIPA UNY, and to analyse factors involved in determining the PHB profile. The result is beneficial to be used as a database to design a university policy regarding to the alteration of health behavior to improve the employees’ health status. The study was designed as an analytical survey, cross sectional model, with point time approach. The respondents were employees from FMIPA UNY, taken by incidental sampling technique. PHB score was obtained from Personal Health Inventory (PHI) questionnaire adapted from Getchell (1991. Data were analysed descriptively and the relationship between variables was cross-tabulated. The results showed that there were no differences of PHB score between male and female and between age range. According to their PHB score, almost employees (97,96%) were in moderate risk. Factors involved in PHB profile were predominanty individual health history and social economic status. It is suggested that the employees should be more aware on their health behavior to reduce their risk against health diseases and disorders. Abstract

Physical exercise contributes to maintain our health, through its role in inflammatory immune response. Cytokines are proteins that mediate communication between immune cells, either as pro- or anti-inflammation agents. Nonetheless, the dominance of pro- over anti-inflammatory cytokines during a workout, is harmful to health. This systematic review aimed at determining the effect of physical activity in modulating pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines during immune response. Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) guideline, literature searching was conducted in 3 databases which were PUBMED/MEDLINE, DOAJ and GARUDA, using keywords, citation tracking and snowballing. Inclusion and exclusion criterias were used to screen, while the Newcastle Ottawa Scale (NOS) was used to assess the quality of the articles. Data extraction and analysis were conducted descriptively. There were 376 articles identified, of which 329 were sorted and 82 were retrieved. Thirty articles underwent quality assessment, resulting to 12 inclusion studies. In conclusion, physical exercise influences the modulation of cytokine, whereby IL-6 and TNF-α (pro-) which increase at the beginning of exercise, are balanced by the increase of IL-10 (anti-inflammatory), which appears later in exercise or during recovery. For this purpose, physical exercise is recommended as a combination of aerobic and resistance exercise performed regularly at moderate intensity.

Abstract

Learning today is closely related to digital technology, especially during Covid-19. The form of use of digital technology is the variety of products being developed. Still, almost no media can meet all age levels, and there are differences in student abilities, so careful design is needed. In biology learning material on the human reproductive system, it is known that the learning completeness score is low (46.2%). The reason is that this material requires good concept visualization while the existing media is minimal. Teachers and students need media that can visualize material well and can be accessed via smartphone. This research aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR) media on human reproductive system material. This research uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. Data collection was carried out through expert validation and limited trials. The material expert validation result was 100%, and the media expert validation result was 95% (very good category). The teacher assessment result was 92%, and the student response was 83.5% (very good category). Based on these results, it is known that the AR media developed is suitable for use in learning.
