Abstract

Research activities are an obligation to be carried out by a lecturer, each year the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology encourages the improvement of research through a large amount of research funding aid through several schemes of grant competition. By 2023, the percentage of proposals funded was only 22.7% of the total of research proposals submitted as 28.404. One of the problems that arises for the lecturer who follows the research grant is to determine the title of the research. The research aims to identify the words that often appear on the research titles that escape funding from each grant scheme by performing word grinding using the TF-IDF method. The results of this research indicate that in the novice lecturer research grant scheme (PDP) the word that often appears is the word "based" with a total of 434 proposals, in the regular fundamental research (PFR) the word that often appears is "development" of 374 proposals , domestic cooperation research (PKDN) the word that often appears is "based" with 117 proposals, post-graduate research doctoral dissertation research (PPS-PDD) the word that often appears is "model" with 154 proposals, in post-graduate research master's thesis research (PTS-PTM) words that often appear "based" are 191 proposals and in the downstream applied research scheme (PT-JH) words that often appear "based" are 82 proposals. This research can provide an overview of the names of titles funded based on the highest number of occurrences of a word from all titles funded. The words "based", "development" and "model" are the 3 largest words that appear in the titles of proposals funded in the PFR, PKDN, PPS-PDD, PPS-PTM, and PT-JH schemes. For the PDP scheme, the order of the 3 largest words that appear in the title of the proposal is "based", "regency", and "development".

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of coworker support and organizational commitment on social loafing behavior, with turnover intention as a mediating variable, among employees of PT FBA. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample consisted of 57 respondents selected using Slovin's formula from a total population of 57 employees. The research instrument was a questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that coworker support has no significant effect on turnover intention or social loafing behavior. In contrast, organizational commitment has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, while turnover intention has a positive and significant effect on social loafing behavior. Mediation analysis reveals that turnover intention does not mediate the relationship between coworker support and social loafing, but significantly mediates the effect of organizational commitment on social loafing. These findings support the Social Exchange Theory, which explains that positive reciprocal relationships strengthen commitment and reduce negative workplace behaviors. The implications of this study emphasize the importance for companies to enhance organizational commitment by reinforcing values, organizational culture, and career development opportunities as efforts to reduce turnover intention and social loafing among employees.

Abstract

Effective human resource management is a cornerstone for operational sustainability, particularly in the maritime industry, which demands high precision and strict adherence to safety protocols. This study investigates the influence of the recruitment and selection systems on the operational performance effectiveness of seafarers at PT Cemerlang Makmur Abadi. Employing a quantitative approach and analyzing data from 60 seafarer respondents using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the findings reveal that the recruitment system has no significant influence (t=1.050, p>0.05) on operational performance. Conversely, the selection system demonstrates a positive and significant influence (t=2.511, p<0.05). This result strongly suggests that the in-depth screening process during the selection phase plays a far more critical role than the initial candidate attraction process. The practical implication is the necessity of optimizing the selection process to ensure the competence of seafarers, which ultimately enhances productivity, efficiency, and work safety.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of workload and work environment on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable in the Directorate General of Training and Productivity Development, Ministry of Manpower of Indonesia in 2025. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires from 100 civil servants selected by convenience sampling. Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to analyze relationships among variables. Results indicate that workload positively affects both job satisfaction and employee performance, while the work environment significantly influences job satisfaction but does not directly affect performance. Job satisfaction plays a critical mediating role in linking workload and work environment to performance outcomes. The findings underline that an appropriate workload and supportive work environment enhance employee satisfaction, which in turn boosts performance. This study highlights the importance of managing workload and workplace conditions to improve public sector employee productivity. Limitations include a single-agency focus and cross-sectional design. Future research should explore broader contexts using longitudinal and probabilistic sampling methods.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Industrial Relations Mediator Information System (SIMEDHI) on performance assessment and competency improvement of Industrial Relations Mediators, with data accuracy as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 205 mediators across various provinces in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that SIMEDHI significantly affects data accuracy. Furthermore, data accuracy acts as a significant partial mediator between SIMEDHI and both mediator performance and competency. These findings highlight that accurate information systems strengthen decision-making in performance evaluation and support data-driven competency development programs.
