Abstract

Firm value serves as a critical indicator for companies, investors, and policymakers in evaluating equity ownership. This study aims to analyze the partial effects of financial performance—comprising liquidity, profitability, activity, and solvency ratios—alongside firm size on the value of healthcare companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020-2024 period. A quantitative approach was employed using multiple linear regression analysis to test the hypotheses. The findings indicate that Current Ratio (CR), Return on Assets (ROA), and Total Asset (TA) have a significant partial effect on Price to Book Value (PBV), with significance values of 0.000, 0.000, and 0.001, respectively (p < 0.05). Conversely, Accounts Receivable Turnover (ART) and Solvency Ratio (SR) do not significantly influence firm value (p > 0.05). The R-squared value is 0.548, indicating that these variables contribute 54.8% to the variance in firm value, while the remaining 45.2% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These results suggest that market valuation in the healthcare sector is primarily driven by liquidity and profitability, whereas receivable management and solvency levels are less prioritized by investors in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

Employing foreign workers can be done by any party in accordance with regulations, except for individual employers. However, the use of foreign workers must be carried out carefully and selectively, with attention to and prioritizing the use of domestic workers, including local workers, as long as they align with the required competencies. Every employer employing foreign workers is required to have written permission from the minister or designated official. This study aims to determine the effect of digital service innovation and employee competence on public satisfaction with service quality as a mediator at the Directorate General of Binapenta & PKK. This research is quantitative. The data analysis method used SEM-PLS analysis. The results of the hypothesis testing prove that digital service innovation, employee competence, and service quality have a significant effect on public satisfaction. Furthermore, digital service innovation and employee competency influence service quality. Furthermore, service quality mediates the influence of digital service innovation and employee competency on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of competency improvement and training programs on the performance of civil servants (ASN) and the role of work motivation as a mediating variable in the Directorate of Instructor and Training Personnel Development. ASN performance is an important factor in supporting the effectiveness of public organizations, thus requiring human resource management that emphasizes competency strengthening and the implementation of appropriate training programs. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research population consists of all ASN employees, including civil servants and PPPK employees at the Directorate of Instructor and Training Personnel Development, with a census sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS)-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that competency improvement and training programs had a significant effect on ASN employee performance. Improvement also had a significant effect on work motivation, while training programs did not have a significant effect on work motivation. Furthermore, work motivation does not significantly affect the performance of ASN employees. The mediation test results show that work motivation does not mediate the effect of competency improvement and training programs on the performance of ASN employees. These findings indicate that the performance of ASN employees is more directly influenced by competency and training programs as actual work abilities and formal task fulfillment than by work motivation as a psychological incentive

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of career development and allowances on work discipline with organizational commitment as a mediating variable in the context of the BPSDM Secretariat. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, and data were collected from 77 employees, including civil servants and government contract employees. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that career development and allowances have significant positive effects on organizational commitment, but do not have significant direct effects on work discipline. Organizational commitment is found to have a significant effect on work discipline. Furthermore, the mediation analysis indicates that organizational commitment fully mediates the relationships between career development and work discipline as well as between allowances and work discipline. These findings suggest that improvements in career development programs and allowance systems will not automatically enhance work discipline unless they are able to strengthen employees’ organizational commitment. This study highlights the central role of organizational commitment as a key mechanism linking human resource practices to disciplined work behavior in public sector organizations. The results provide practical implications for managers and policymakers in designing more effective human resource policies to improve employee discipline through strengthening organizational commitment

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of employee engagement in the relationship between transformational leadership, employee well-being, and employee performance within a state- owned enterprise (SOE) subsidiary operating in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using census sampling of 173 employees at the Head Office of an Indonesian SOE subsidiary. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), following measurement and structural model assessment procedures. Transformational leadership and employee well-being significantly and positively influence employee engagement. Employee engagement exerts the strongest direct effect on employee performance and partially mediates the relationships between transformational leadership, employee well-being, and performance. The results confirm engagement as a central psychological mechanism through which leadership and well-being initiatives translate into performance outcomes. This study contributes to engagement and leadership literature by integrating transformational leadership and employee well-being into a unified mediation model within an SOE context—an institutional setting characterized by bureaucratic governance yet performance-driven service operations. The findings extend engagement theory by positioning employee engagement as a strategic performance-enabling construct in hybrid public–corporate organizations.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has reshaped leadership practices, particularly among Generation Z as digital natives. However, empirical evidence remains inconclusive regarding whether leadership effectiveness is driven by the intensity of technology usage or by technological competence, especially within non-profit youth organizations. This study aims to examine the effect of information technology usage intensity and technological competence on Generation Z leadership effectiveness, with teamwork as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). Data were collected from 59 Generation Z members (aged 18–29) of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Indonesia. The results reveal that technology usage intensity does not significantly affect leadership effectiveness or teamwork. In contrast, technological competence has a significant positive effect on teamwork, which in turn significantly influences leadership effectiveness. Teamwork fully mediates the relationship between technological competence and leadership effectiveness. These findings indicate that Generation Z leadership effectiveness is not determined by how frequently technology is used, but by how technological competence is strategically leveraged to foster collaboration and teamwork. This study contributes to digital leadership literature by highlighting teamwork as a critical mechanism linking technological competence to leadership effectiveness in youth-based non-profit organizations.

Abstract

Public sector organizations are increasingly required to enhance performance and innovation amid bureaucratic reform and digital transformation. However, empirical evidence regarding the psychological mechanisms underlying civil servant performance remains limited, particularly in hierarchical public institutions. This study investigates the effect of psychological safety and learning agility on civil servant performance, with innovative work behavior as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 167 civil servants at the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that learning agility has a positive and significant effect on performance, whereas psychological safety does not directly influence performance. Both psychological safety and learning agility significantly enhance innovative work behavior. Innovative work behavior significantly improves performance and mediates the relationship between learning agility and performance, but not between psychological safety and performance. This study contributes to public sector human resource management literature by clarifying the behavioral mechanism linking adaptive learning capability and performance. The findings suggest that in bureaucratic contexts, psychological safety alone is insufficient to drive performance unless translated into innovative actions. Policy implications for strengthening adaptive learning and innovation ecosystems in public institutions are discussed.
