Abstract

This research aims to determine the students' motives in pursuing e-sport games. The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique in this research used a purposive sampling technique with a total of 50 students at Suryakancana University, and used a questionnaire instrument with the motives of students pursuing e-sport games. The results obtained are 23% motives for spending time, 22% motives for seeking information, 21% motives for interpersonal relationships, 20% motives for convenience, and 15% motives for entertainment. It is recommended for students to make university education a top priority and not to make e-sport games an obstacle to keep achieving at university. E-sports competitions in Indonesia are often held, especially at the student level. With more frequent competitions to encourage students to excel.Key words: motives, students, e-sport games.

Abstract

In every sporting event there is always an event identity that is able to represent the image of the region and country in its implementation. The purpose of this study is to explore the case study of PON XXI 2024 within the framework of achievement development. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Participants in the study consisted of elite athletes (PON Program), coaches, officials, and sports policy academics with a total of 12 participants. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, document studies. Data analysis techniques used in this study include data reduction analysis, data presentation, drawing conclusions assisted by the Nvivo application. The results of this study, the integration of DBON strategies starting from talent identification, athlete career advancement, and multi-level competition opportunities. In the context of DBON development, the role of the central government, regions, and KONI cannot be ignored. The unity of stakeholders functions as the main manager who coordinates and integrates all aspects of DBON, both at the central and regional levels

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this research was to see correlation between levels of self-confidence and anxiety and the performance of karate athletes. Method: This research was carried out at the Dojo of SMPN 1 Campaka Cianjur with a sample of 40 people, the technique of taking samples with a total sample was that the entire population was used as a sample. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with correlational analysis. The instrument used is the CSAI-2 questionnaire to measure cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety and self-confidence. Data is collected online using Google Form. This research was calculated using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 which measures the Normality test and the Pearson product moment hypothesis test. Result: The results of this study state that there is a correlation between the level of self-confidence and the performance of karate athletes in the kata class with a significance value of 0.001, there is a correlation between the level of anxiety and the performance of karate athletes in the kata class with a significance value of 0.000, there is a correlation between the level of self-confidence and anxiety and performance kata class karate athlete with a significance value of 0.000.

Abstract

An Important factor in improving athlete performance in futsal is team cohesion. The purpose of this study was to see how Small Side Game (SSG) training affects the level of cohesion of futsal athletes in the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Suryakancana University. The research method used was an experiment using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study was 15 futsal athletes of UKM. The sample of this study was taken from all populations of 15 futsal athletes of UKM. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations that evaluated cohesion before and after the intervention. The results showed that Small Side Games Training Can Increase the Cohesion of Futsal Athletes of Suryakancana University Student Activities increased by 0.921 with a significance value of 0.02 <0.05. Significant. The results show that implementing SSG can be an effective way to build synergy and cooperation in a futsal team.

Abstract

The socialization and implementation of the Desain Besar Olahraga Daerah (DBOD) is a strategic step in supporting structured, sustainable, and locally-based sports development. Cianjur City, as part of West Java Province, has the potential of human resources, culture, and geography that support sports development at both the participatory and achievement levels. However, challenges remain in sports governance, limited infrastructure, low synergy among stakeholders, and the absence of a comprehensive long-term planning document. Through this activity, it is hoped that a shared understanding of the direction and objectives of the DBOD will be created, while also encouraging the active involvement of local governments, educational institutions, sports organizations, and the community. The main objectives of this activity are to socialize the concept and content of the DBOD, increase stakeholder capacity, and formulate implementation strategies that are appropriate to regional characteristics. The results of this activity are expected to strengthen the regional sports ecosystem and serve as a reference in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of sports programs in Cianjur City in a sustainable.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari bagaimana penggunaan permainan online Mobile Legends berdampak pada siswa Universitas Suryakancana. Mobile Legends, salah satu game e-sport paling populer di kalangan siswa, memengaruhi banyak aspek kehidupan siswa, termasuk akademik, sosial, psikologis, dan komunikasi, selain hanya menjadi media hiburan. Pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yang mengumpulkan data dengan menyebarkan angket kepada 102 responden. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden (70%) bermain selama 1–2 jam setiap hari. Dampak positif termasuk peningkatan kemampuan berpikir strategis, kerja sama tim, dan meningkatkan relasi sosial. Sebaliknya, dampak negatif termasuk penurunan fokus belajar, kecenderungan untuk menghindari interaksi sosial secara langsung, gangguan waktu istirahat, stres dan kelelahan ringan. Data menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa menggunakan moderat, tetapi perilaku bermain game mereka harus diperhatikan agar tidak mengganggu tanggung jawab akademik dan sosial mereka. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa, guru, dan pihak kampus membuat kebijakan yang memungkinkan keseimbangan antara tanggung jawab akademik dan aktivitas hiburan digital

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan fartlek terhadap peningkatan VO2Max pada atlet pencak silat Benteng Ksatria. VO2Max merupakan indikator utama kebugaran kardiovaskular dan daya tahan atlet yang sangat penting dalam pencak silat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel terdiri dari 40 atlet pencak silat Benteng Ksatria yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 20 atlet. Latihan fartlek dilakukan selama 14 sesi dalam satu bulan dengan intensitas yang meningkat secara progresif. Pengukuran VO2Max dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan menggunakan bleep test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada VO2Max atlet yang menjalani latihan fartlek dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol yang tidak mendapat perlakuan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan fartlek efektif dalam meningkatkan VO2Max atlet pencak silat Benteng Ksatria.

Abstract

Mountaineering is not just a challenging physical activity, but also a journey that enriches one's life skills. Through climbing, we learn about resilience, cooperation, and the ability to face obstacles, all of which are essential in navigating our daily lives. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the relationship between mountaineering activities and life skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. It includes research type and methodology, population and sample, data collection methods, research tools, and data analysis methods. The results of this study are about the relationship between life skills and mountaineering. The data collected come from the results of a questionnaire that has been analyzed systematically. It begins with a description of the respondent's data, then the measurement results for each variable, and is then analyzed to determine the level of correlation between the two.
