Abstract

The idea of smart cities has gained traction recently. It has attracted much attention from administrators, legislators, urban planners, and others in response to the complicated problems caused by unparalleled urbanization. However, public participation or citizen engagement is essential in the smart city concept to achieve the goals optimally. This research will primarily focus on several methodologically crafted problem sets to produce thorough analytical results. They ask how the notion of "smart cities" fits into the bigger picture of how citizen engagement in green cities affects Indonesia's green economy and ultimately, how well Indonesia's smart cities align with the 1945 Constitution. This study looks at smart city-based policies from the perspectives of participation, economy, and constitution, which is different from previous studies. The findings indicate that several smart city programs and regulations still rely on local government policies, which means that residents' rights are not allocated fairly. The construct is significant in developing ecologically sound entrepreneurship through initiatives to promote interest in community participation through green entrepreneurship orientation. The smart city concept is a means of achieving the success of community engagement in promoting a green economy and constitution.

Abstract

Abstract

Lack of protein-energy (KEP) is a condition of malnutrition that is specific to the inadequate intake of energy and protein for the growth and maintenance of the body. Sago caterpillar flour (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus) contains the essential amino acids phenylalanine and lysine which affect IGF-1 levels. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of sago caterpillar flour (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus) on IGF-1 levels in a low-protein diet of Wistar rats. This study utilizes true experimental pre and post-group control design. The male Wistar rats (n=28 mice; body weight 100-150 g) were randomly divided into 4 groups (n=7), consisting of group K (-) which was given a standard diet of AIN-93 as a control; Group K (+) which was given a diet of AIN-93 modifications of a low-protein diet; the P1 group which was given AIN-93 modified diets low in protein and sago caterpillar flour of 0.36g/100 g BW/day; and the P2 group which was given AIN-93 modified diets low in protein and sago caterpillar flour of 1.36g/100 g BW/dayfor 28 days. IGF-1 levels were measured using the ELISA method. Statistical analysis using paired t-test and one-way ANOVA test. There was a significant increase in IGF-1 levels before and after the intervention in the treatment group (p=0.000). There was a significant difference in IGF-1 levels in the P1 and P2 groups compared to the K+ group (p=0.000). There was a significant difference in IGF-1 levels between P1 and P2 (p=0.000). Sago caterpillar flour of 0.36 g/100 g BW/day may increase IGF-1 levels in rats with a low-protein diet. Abstract

This Study Aims To Analyze The Influence Of Community Participation and advocacy by WALHI DIY on community satisfaction in the process of creating Green Open Spaces (RTH) in Kricak Village, Yogyakarta City. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an Ex-Post Facto design, which aims to examine the relationship between community participation, WALHI DIY advocacy, and community satisfaction. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 160 residents in Kricak Village and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that both community participation in the RTH development process and the advocacy carried out by WALHI DIY have a significant impact on the level of community satisfaction. Community participation in the planning and implementation of RTH development increases a sense of ownership of the project, while advocacy by WALHI DIY enhances community understanding of the importance of RTH and how the process can improve their quality of life. This finding provides an important contribution to the development of more participatory RTH development policies, where the community is actively involved, and policies that support environmental sustainability. This research is expected to serve as a reference in the implementation of more inclusive green space development policies that have a positive impact on the community.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: The chronic metabolic condition known as type There is a positive correlation between the risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus and Body Mass Index (BMI) and body fat percentage. Signs of type 2 diabetes mellitus are hyperglycemia caused by insulin resistance or insulin deficiency. Pro-inflammatory adipokines are produced as adiposity increases, which interferes with insulin sensitivity, causing blood glucose to accumulate. As a result, the body has difficulty absorbing blood sugar. When blood sugar continues to rise, diabetes develops. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the correlation between Body Mass Index (BMI), total body fat percentage, and random blood glucose levels in individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional approach, an analytical design, and quantitative methodology. The research was conducted at the Kotaagung Public Health Centre from October to December 2024 with a population of 87 and a research sample of 58 Diabetes Mellitus patients using the method of random sampling. A questionnaire was employed as the research tool, measuring body weight and body fat percentage with a Karada scan tool, measuring height using a microtome, and measuring blood sugar levels with a glucometer. Data analysis used the Pearson test. Results: The respondent characteristics by gender showed 19 men (32.8%) and 39 women (67.2%). The mean Body Mass Index (BMI) was 22.23±3.25 kg/m² for men and 25.36±3.58 kg/m² for women. For total body fat percentage, the mean was 20.93±2.95% for men and 36.65±5.82% for women. The mean Random Blood Glucose (RBG) level was 211.00±67.4 mg/dL for men and 258.05±96.24 mg/dL for women. Conclusion: In type 2 diabetes patients treated at Kotaagung Health Center, there was a correlation between random blood sugar levels with body mass index and body fat percentage, with a p-value=0.000.

Abstract

Background: Anemia happens when the body has too few red blood cells or low hemoglobin. It usually comes from not having enough iron. Not getting enough folic acid can also cause anemia because folic acid and vitamin B12 help make healthy red blood cells. Globally, the WHO identifies adolescent girls as a group at high risk of anemia, with prevalence rates in developing countries reported to range from 40–88%, and some studies suggest figures as high as 50–60% depending on regional conditions. In Indonesia, the 2023 Indonesian Child Health Survey (SKI) recorded an anemia prevalence of 15.5–18% among adolescents aged 15–24, although some regions still show much higher rates, reaching 40–50%. This data confirms that anemia in adolescent girls remains a priority health issue related to micronutrient adequacy. Objective: This research seeks to examine the association between the adequacy of iron, folic acid, and vitamin B12 intake and the occurrence of anemia in adolescent girls within the Rama Indra Community Health Center service area in 2024. Method: This research employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The sample included 80 adolescent girls, selected through stratified random sampling. The research was conducted from October 14 to December 17, 2024, at the selected schools. Data were collected through interviews using the SQ-FFQ to evaluate the adequacy of iron, folic acid, and vitamin B12 intake, while hemoglobin levels were measured using the Easytouch GCHb device. Kendall’s Tau-c test in SPSS was used to analyze correlations. Results: Most participants exhibited poor nutritional status, with deficiencies observed in iron (71.25%), folate (67.5%), and vitamin B12 (48,8%). Bivariate analysis revealed significant correlations between anemia and the adequacy of iron (p=0.000), folate (p=0.006), and vitamin B12 (p=0.024). Conclusion: A significant relationship exists between the adequacy of iron, folic acid, and vitamin B12 and the occurrence of anemia among adolescent girls in the Rama Indra Health Center’s service area.
