Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sebuah model Didactic Design Research untuk mengatasi hambatan belajar matematika mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Mengenai validitas produk, hasil data validasi dari ahli materi diperoleh persentase 82,15% yang termasuk dalam kategori layak dan revisi serta hasil data validasi ahli model diperoleh persentase 83,42% dengan kategori layak. Rancangan didaktis yang dikembangkan untuk mengatasi hambatan belajar matematika mahasiswa didasarkan pada hubungan dosen, mahasiswa, dan materi digambarkan menjadi sebuah Segitiga Didaktis. Segitiga Didaktis ini kemudian dimodifikasi karena hanya menggambarkan hubungan pedagogis (HP) antar dosen dan mahasiswa dan hubungan didaktis (HD) antara mahasiswa dan materi. Setelah dimodifikasi Segitiga Didaktis menggambarkan hubungan pedagogis (HP) antar dosen dan mahasiswa dan hubungan didaktis (HD) antara mahasiswa dan materi, dan hubungan antisipasi dosen dan materi yang disebut sebagai antisipasi didaktis dan pedagogis (ADP).

Abstract

This research intends to (1) create valid, practical, and successful PBL-based E-Comics media; (2) evaluating Problem-Based Learning-based E-Comics media for problem-solving improvement; (3) examining student enthusiasm in learning with Problem-Based Learning e-comics medium. This study follows the ADDIE model—analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study included SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam seventh-graders. RPP, LKPD, problem-solving ability exam, and student learning interest questionnaire are used to create e-comic media. The results showed that (1) Media E-Comics based Problem Based Learning (PBL) to improve problem-solving skills and interest in learning met valid criteria with a score of 4.69; (2) The practical criteria in the second practical test included observation of learning using E-Comics media with a score of 88.15%, teacher response of 87.94%, and student response of 90.75%; and (3) E-Comics media meets effectiveness criteria; (i) Problem-solving skills in the effectiveness test I rose by 0.68 with a medium category at pretest and posttest. Comparing posttest I and II values ​​showed that test II was more effective with N-gain 0.43 in the medium category; (ii) increased student interest in learning effectiveness test I with an average of 96.87%, with 8 excellent, 23 good, and 1 sufficient students. effectiveness test II followed with an average of 100%, with 17 excellent and 15 good students.

Abstract

This research examined the validity, practicality, and efficacy of LKPD problem-based learning media with geogebra in promoting students' mathematical thinking and learning independence. Research and development are employed. ADDIE is this study's development model. This study involved class XI students of one of the vocational schools in Deli Serdang Regency. The average score for LKPD learning media based on problem-based learning helped by geogebra was 4.75 with a valid category. LKPD media based on problem-based learning assisted by geogebra is practical because the average score of learning implementation was 87.22%, which is good, and positive student responses averaged 88.94%, which is very positive. The average classical completeness value of students was 93.75% with a very high category, the average learning objective achievement was 89.06%, and the average student responses were 88.94%, indicating that LKPD media based on problem-based learning assisted by geogebra is effective. The developed media can improve students' mathematical reasoning and learning independence, as shown by their N-gain values of 0.48 and 0.55, respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji keabsahan, kepraktisan, dan keberhasilan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dalam meningkatkan Mathematical Reasoning dan Kemandirian Belajar siswa di SMP Free Methodist 2 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas VII SMP Medan. Hasil penelitian; Perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dinyatakan telah valid dan dapat meningkatkan Mathematical Reasoning dan Kemandirian Belajar siswa di SMP Free Methodist 2 dengan rata-rata penilaian pada validasi untuk tiap perangkat yaitu 3,4. Perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan praktis untuk meningkatkan Mathematical Reasoning dan Kemandirian Belajar siswa di SMP Free Methodist 2 Medan dengan rata-rata skor yang diberikan observer tiap pertemuan yaitu 3,84 sehingga dinyatakan terlaksana dengan baik tanpa adanya hambatan. Perangkat pembelajaran  berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan efektif untuk meningkatkan Mathematical Reasoning dan Kemandirian Belajar siswa di SMP Medan. Pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan diperoleh 23 siswa tuntas dalam test yang diberikan dengan persentase 76% dan hanya terdapat 7 siswa yang belum tuntas dengan persentase 23%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan utama, yaitu (1) mengevaluasi kualitas Modul pembelajaran berbasis digital dengan model PBL, termasuk aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan, dan (2) mengukur peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah melibatkan Modul pembelajaran berbasis digital dengan model PBL dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas X-IPA 5 SMA Negeri 7 Medan, dengan objek penelitian berfokus pada Modul pembelajaran berbasis digital yang menggunakan model PBL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA. Instrumen penelitian mencakup angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa:1) Modul yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, mendapat persetujuan tinggi dari ahli materi sebesar 90,52% dan ahli media sebesar 91,75%, dengan kategori "sangat layak" (SL). 2) Modul juga dinilai praktis dengan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 86,80%, masuk dalam kategori "sangat praktis".3) Modul terbukti efektif melalui (a) pencapaian ketuntasan belajar siswa dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,711, (b) respon positif siswa, dan (c) peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, terlihat dari peningkatan nilai pretest rata-rata sebesar 47 menjadi 84,71 pada nilai posttest rata-rata. Analisis N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang tinggi.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the mathematical communication skills of students after implementing the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model. The study was conducted in the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year in class XI MIA 3 at MAN 1 Medan. The subjects of this research were 39 students from class XI MIA 3 MAN 1 Medan. The object of this research was the mathematical communication skills of students by applying the Think Talk Write learning model. The research method used was classroom action research conducted over 2 cycles. The results of the students' mathematical communication skills test showed improvement from the initial test to the tests given in Cycle I and Cycle II. In the initial test, only 1 student (2.5%) achieved proficiency with an average score of 56, categorized as low. In Cycle I, there was a classical increase, with 10 students (25.6%) achieving proficiency with an average score of 67.9, categorized as moderate. In Cycle II, there was also a classical increase, with 33 students (84.6%) achieving proficiency with an average score of 86.9, categorized as high. It can be concluded that by implementing the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model, it is possible to improve the mathematical communication skills of class XI MIA 3 students at MAN 1 Medan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how efforts are made and enhance students' capacity for problem-solving following the application of the lesson study-based scientific approach and problem-based learning model. 38 students from SMP Negeri 4 Tebing Tinggi's VIII–5 class during the 2022–2023 academic year served as the research subjects. Classroom Action Research (PTK), which is this kind of research, is divided into two cycles. In pre-action, students take an initial test, and at the conclusion of each cycle, they take an exam on their problem-solving skills. The research findings are as follows: (1) If the teacher masters and effectively applies the PBL model and scientific approach based on lesson study, students' mathematical problem solving abilities can be improved, (2) Application of the PBL model can increase student learning completeness by 63.16% from 23.68% at the end of cycle I to 86.84% at the end of cycle II. (3) Students' mathematical problem solving abilities can be improved by 34.37% from 47.47% at the end of cycle I to 82.04% at the end of cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the problem-based learning model (PBL) with a STEM approach on the mathematical problem solving ability of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 17 Medan. This research was conducted at SMP N 17 Medan T.A 2023/2024. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method. The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class VIII-3 as an experimental class taught with a PBL model with a STEM approach and class VIII-4 as a control class taught with conventional models. Based on descriptive statistics and categorization of research results, it was found that the mathematical problem solving ability of experimental class students was 67,74% of students in the high category, 32.26% of other students in the medium category, and no students in the low category. Meanwhile, in the control class, 15,63% of students were in the high level of problem solving ability, 53,13% were in the medium level and 31,24% of students were in the category low category. Thus it can be seen that the mathematical problem solving ability of grade students taught with PBL with a STEM approach is better than conventional learning models. Furthermore, with inferential statistical analysis for the t test, calculated t value = 2,42 and ttable = 1,999623, thus t calculated > t table means that the problem-solving ability of students taught with PBL with a STEM approach is not the same as students who use the learning conventional model. With further analysis, Fcalculated = 5,6847 and F table = 3,998494482, then calculated F > F table so it can be concluded that problem-based learning models with a STEM approach have a significant effect on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Based on the results of initial observations at SMP Negeri 40 Medan, there are teachers who have not maximized the design, development, and utilization of learning media, especially flipbook media that has never been implemented. As well as the mathematical literacy skills and learning motivation of students are still low. This study aims to (1) produce flipbook media based on the Problem Based Learning learning model that is valid, practical and effective, (2) analyze the improvement of mathematical literacy skills and (3) analyze the improvement of student learning motivation using flipbook media based on Problem Based Learning. This study uses the ADDIE model. This study involved class VIII students of SMP Negeri 40 Medan. The instruments used in the development of flipbook media are Teaching Modules, LKPD, Mathematical Literacy Ability Tests and Student Learning Motivation Questionnaires. The results of the study are that the flipbook media meets the valid criteria with a score of 4.69, then the flipbook media was tested to obtain practical and effective media so that it meets the practical criteria with a score of 88.95, and the flipbook media meets the effective criteria with a score of 87.79. The increase in mathematical literacy skills measured by N-gain on the development trial conducted twice against pretest with posttest I with an average N-gain of 0.33 in the medium category, then against posttest I and posttest II with an average N-gain of 0.73 in the high category. Furthermore, the increase in students' learning motivation by measuring the pretest and posttest with an average N-gain of 0.6 in the medium category. Based on the N-gain results, it is stated that flipbook media based on the Problem Based Learning learning model is able to improve students' mathematical literacy skills and learning motivation at SMP Negeri 40 Medan.
