Abstract

Pengiriman barang niaga (shipping) merupakan perdagangan dunia yang terbesar dan juga merupakan salah satu yang paling berbahaya. Berkaitan dengan masalah yang telah dipaparkan, maka perwira di kapal maupun di darat perlu untuk menguasai bahasa Inggris maritim yang di dalamnya mencakup Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP). SMCP adalah kumpulan kata-kata atau frase dalam bahasa Inggris didukung oleh masyarakat internasional untuk digunakan sebagai komunikasi di laut kemudian dikembangkan dan disesuaikan dengan standar IMO (International Maritime Organization untuk mengurangi permasalahan bahasa dalam berkomunikasi di laut dan juga menghindari kesalahpahaman yang dapat menimbulkan kecelakaan. Maka pembelajaran kosakata dalam SMCP dimungkinkan mencapai hasil yang maksimal jika dilakukan dalam suasana yang menyenangkan dengan menggunakan games seperti “Catch! Play Ball!”, “Scavenger Hunt” dan “Quiz show” dalam pembelajaran SMCP (Standard Marine Communication Phrases) untuk menjawab permasalahan apakah pembelajaran model games dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata SMCP (Standard Marine Communication Phrases) dan bagaimana pendapat taruna tentang pembelajaran kosakata dengan games “Catch! Play Ball!”, “Scavenger Hunt” dan “Quiz show”?. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode quasi experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah adalah taruna program diploma jurusan nautika semester II (dua) Politeknik Pelayaran Surabaya tahun ajaran 2015- 2016 yang berjumlah 110 orang. Pada tahap awal digunakan pre-test untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan kosakata SMCP bahasa Inggris maritim akan diukur untuk kedua kalinya yang disebut post-test. Untuk teknik analisis data penelitian digunakan uji-t dan uji persyaratan analisis data penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan media games dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata bahasa Inggris maritim (SMCP) pada taruna.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara maritim dimana area lautnya sangat ramai dengan kegiatan perekonomian tingkat nasional dan internasional harus didukung dengan sarana pelabuhan beserta petugas yang terampil di bidangnya. Dari segi pelayanan kepada pengguna pelabuhan, selain fasilitas - fasilitas fisik dari pelabuhan, kemampuan dan kecakapan petugas pelabuhan terutama dalam hal berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa internasional yaitu bahasa Inggris sangatlah diperlukan. Maka sejak awal pendidikan pada ketatalaksanaan laut dan kepelabuhanan diperlukan pengajaran bahasa Inggris berdasarkan silabus yang akan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris secara lisan maupun tulisan yang kelak akan digunakan di lingkungan pelabuhan. Maka rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah apakah kebutuhan mata kuliah bahasa Inggris (English for Port and Shipping) dan bagaimana penyusunan materi ke dalam silabus bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan langkah-langkah perancangan silabus yaitu melakukan analisis kebutuhan bahasa Inggris yang seperti apa yang diinginkan oleh pengguna jasa dalam hal ini adalah perusahaan pelayaran atau perwira kapal yang sering menggunakan jasa pelabuhan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh tersebut dianalisis guna merumuskan tujuan mata kuliah dan menentukan jenis silabus. Jenis silabus yang digunakan adalah silabus berbasis keterampilan membaca. Keterampilan membaca merupakan hal utama yang dilakukan taruna selama masa pendidikan. Silabus bahasa Inggris (English for Port and Shipping) untuk pemahaman membaca (reading comprehension) diharapkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan taruna dan bermanfaat bagi kegiatan belajar mengajar di jurusan ketatatalaksanaan angkutan laut dan kepelabuhanan. Adapun topik-topik teks atau bacaan adalah Accident at Sea, Types of Merchant Ship, Different types of cargo, Marine Insurance dan Shipping Procedure dengan keterampilan membaca menggunakan judul untuk memahami gagasan utama paragraf, melakukan skimming, menjawab pertanyaan melalui scanning, memprediksi isi teks berdasarkan judul teks, meningkatkan kecepatan membaca (reading speed), memprediksi makna teks, membedakan informasi penting dan tidak penting serta menarik kesimpulan.

Abstract

A ship accident is an unwanted event that can cause material losses or casualties. In this case, the party who feels aggrieved can file a lawsuit to get compensation for the losses suffered. It is undeniable that ship accidents often occur due to various reasons ranging from human error, technical factors, force majeur factors and several other factors. This research aims to find out what are the causes of berthing incidents and to find out the efforts made by ship owners after incidents that occurred at the jetty. In this thesis, a qualitative descriptive method is used with a fishbone diagram approach. Observations, interviews and literature studies are carried out to collect relevant data to identify and explain the causes that arise and also the consequences they cause, so that they can answer the formulation of the problem that has been determined. The results of the study concluded that the lack of communication between the crew and the jetty as well as unfavorable weather conditions were the main factors causing the incident. The lack of effective communication contributes to poor coordination during the berthing process. In an effort to handle the post-incident, PT. Kartika Samudra Adijaya formed an investigation team, increased crew training and strengthened cooperation with the jetty and port authorities. This research is expected to contribute to improving operational procedures and reducing the risk of similar incidents in the future.

Abstract

From this research, monitoring can be done using an ESP32 microcontroller that can run the HY-SRF05 ultrasonic sensor to take measurements of fuel in the tank and then the measurement results can be seen on the connected android. This tool is made to monitor the volume of fuel oil on board via android without having to check to the field. From the results of this study, it is obtained that the HY-SRF05 ultrasonic sensor can measure the fuel level (cm) with a distance of 30 cm from the bottom depth of the tank and then the fuel level data (cm) is processed by ESP32 and then the height data from the sensor reading is displayed via android which has been connected online via an internet connection in the form of fuel volume (L). Tests were carried out 10 (ten) times with 3 (three) different capacities, namely with a capacity of 25%, 50%, and 75% of the maximum capacity of the fuel and with 2 (two) test methods, namely testing in stationary tank conditions (A) and testing in tank conditions getting shocks (B). So that from this test, the total value of the tool error (error) in the stationary tank condition (A) is 0.426% and in the condition of the tank getting a shock (B) of 0.420%. Based on the test results, the tool is said to be able to work well between measurements using the HY-SRF05 ultrasonic sensor and the actual depth with a system accuracy level of 99.57%.

Abstract

Shipping companies ship agencies play an important role in representing the interests of ship owners in ports. In activities, the role of digital technology is very important to streamline and accelerate the process of managing ship crews and prospective crew documents to ensure safety, legal compliance, and smooth ship operations as necessary requirements during sailing. This study aims to determine the influence of Digital Technology in the Management of Crewchange Documents at Pt. Equinox Bahari Utama. The type of research used in this study is quantitative. This research was carried out at Sanur Port for 1 year. Pt. Equinox Bahari Utama. The population used in this study is employees of the Crewing Golar division and Cool Company Management USA, the crew of the ship who will make a crewchange with a sample of 45 respondents. The data sources in this study used primary and secondary data with data collection techniques, namely: questionnaires, observations, literature studies. The data analysis technique is the Simple Linear Regression test. The results of this study show that digital technology has a positive and significant influence on the management of crewchange documents at PT Equinox Bahari Utama. The magnitude of the positive influence of Digital Technology on the management of crewchange documents at PT Equinox Bahari Utama is 87%.

Abstract

Crew Management System (CMS) is a management system at PT. X, especially in monitoring documents for the crew of the Tangguh Foja LNG ship. Implementation of Crew Management System (CMS) at PT. X has several obstacles in connection with the effectiveness of document monitoring activities that hamper the smoothness of the management of crew documents, especially for preparation for the debriefing crew. The aim of this research is to determine the application, role and analysis of the effectiveness of the Crew Management System (CMS) system in relation to the implementation of monitoring crew documents at PT. X. This research method uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach through case studies. Research data collection was carried out through interview techniques, field observations, documentation and identification of documents related to research. The results of research data as primary data were obtained from sources and field data from land practice locations at companies or PT. X, and secondary data in the form of documentation. The results of the research show that the Crew Management System (CMS) has a big influence for monitoring ship crew documents. However, the effectiveness of implementing the system for monitoring crew documents is quite effective, but there are factors or obstacles to the effectiveness of implementing monitoring of ship crew documents at PT. X.

Abstract

Security systems in the maritime sector are crucial for preventing criminal activities and theft on board ships. The physical key systems commonly used today have vulnerabilities that can be exploited by unauthorized individuals. This research aims to design and test a smart door lock system using facial recognition with the ESP32 Wrover cam and a 4x4 Keypad as an additional security measure. The test results show that the system successfully recognizes faces with a 90% success rate at a distance of 15-100 cm, although there is a decrease in efficiency when more than one face is registered. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan implementasi Designated Person Ashore (DPA) dalam manajemen keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) di kapal PT. Dharma Lautan Utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa DPA memiliki peran krusial dalam memastikan keselamatan di kapal, termasuk pengawasan penerapan prosedur K3, pelatihan kru, dan koordinasi antara kru kapal dan manajemen darat. Namun, beberapa kendala utama diidentifikasi, seperti tantangan komunikasi, kurangnya kesadaran kru, keterbatasan sumber daya, dan tekanan operasional yang mengganggu pelaksanaan latihan keselamatan. Implementasi strategi oleh DPA, seperti pelatihan rutin, audit berkala, penggunaan teknologi, dan sistem penghargaan dan sanksi, terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan terhadap regulasi K3. Pengaruh rata-rata tingkat kepatuhan perusahaan terhadap regulasi K3 mencapai 97%, hal ini mencerminkan komitmen perusahaan terhadap keselamatan kerja. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peran DPA sangat penting dalam manajemen K3 di kapal dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk mengatasi kendala yang ada serta meningkatkan implementasi K3 di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality on user satisfaction in the process of Business Activity Notification (PMKU) at the KSOP Class III Talang Duku Office. The research is motivated by several on-site challenges, including users’ lack of understanding in completing documents, repeated submissions, system technical issues, and low awareness among companies regarding licensing obligations. This research employed a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires and direct observation during the Land Practice (PRADA) program. Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, a regression coefficient of 0.175 was obtained with a significance value of 0.003, indicating a positive and significant influence of service quality on user satisfaction. The R Square value of 0.133 shows that 13.3% of the variation in user satisfaction can be explained by service quality, while the remaining 86.7% is influenced by other factors outside the model. The t-test results confirm that service quality has a partial effect on user satisfaction, and classical assumption tests indicate that the regression model meets the requirements of normality, linearity, and homoscedasticity. Based on these findings, it is recommended that service quality be improved through user education, the digitalization of technical guidelines, the optimization of the Inaportnet system, and the implementation of an early warning system, in order to make PMKU services more effective, efficient, and in line with user expectations.

Abstract

Import-export activities cannot be separated from the term logistics costs, currently the amount of logistics costs in Indonesia has reached 17%. One of the reasons for the high logistics costs is the level of efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics chain, such as the unavailability of fumigation services in the line 1 port area. With the hope of reducing logistics costs, PT one single billing system, This is in accordance with the focus of 1 STRANAS PK which encourages system integration in port services. The implementation of STRANAS PK within the port area is intended to reduce corruption cases triggered by incompatibility between service systems. This research is intended to determine whether the implementation of imported container fumigation services in the line 1 area as a follow-up to STRANAS PK has been implemented and has an effective influence on logistics costs. The method in this research uses a quantitative type, with simple calculations which are reinforced with t-tests by the SPSS version 26 application. This research proves that there are savings that occur in logistics costs amounting to IDR 551,562,000, for 660 40ft imported containers that are fumigated with Methyl Bromide 16 mg dose if the fumigation process of imported containers is carried out in the line 1 area, and in the t-test via SPSS a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 is obtained, meaning that all variables significantly influence the efficiency variable. So it can be concluded that the line 1 cost variables (X1) and line 2 costs (X2) have an influence on the efficiency variable (Y). Fumigation services in the line 1 area are in accordance with STRANAS PK's focus on port governance, and of course have a big impact on effectiveness and efficiency in logistics costs.
