Abstract

Product development is one thing that is important and should be done by a business that sells a product that can be accepted by consumers. This study aims to determine the strategy of product development at Batik Semarang 16 and determine the impact of internal and external factors that encourage the development of products. Methods of data collection using interviews and observation. Key informants in this study were employees of Batik Semarang 16. This study used qualitative analysis techniques.The survey results revealed that the product development strategy conducted by Batik Semarang 16 is to develop a design motif of products and also adding new product lines. Jug external factors play a role in encouraging the development of more effective products

Abstract

Trust in brand became the basis of the creation of the customer's brand loyalty considering problems brand to be one of the issues that  should be monitored constantly by each company. Increasingly fierce competition and growing customer expectations Blackberry encourage companies to focus more on efforts to retain existing customers, through increased consumer loyalty to the brand. The increase in consumer brand loyalty is influenced by many factors, including brand characteristics, product differentiation and brand trust. The problem in this study was a decrease in the number of BlackBerry users in 2010 amid rise in the number of users in each year over the last 6 years. This study aims to determine whether there is influence between brand characteristics, product differentiation and brand trust on brand loyalty.This research used explanatory research. From 221 research population taked 69 respondents as sample with Simple Random Sampling method. Collecting data used questionnaire. Analysis data used correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, regression analysis, t test, and F test.The Result this research show that brand characteristic, product differentiation and brand trust have positive influence and significant on brand loyalty (with result as bis as 26,9%, 44,9%, and 33,2% for each variable) as well as in simultaneous as big as 52,1% with product differentiation gave biggest influence.For to the Blackberry should still perform periodic evaluations and improvements that can be better compared with other products, and has its own character, must maintain a viable product differentiation for consumers that is based on the quality and features are given, as well as providing design and warranty in accordance with the product the. For further research needs to be conducted research on factors other than the characteristics of the brand, product differentiation and brand trust on brand loyalty as price, equity, consumer satisfaction.

Abstract

The population density in the city of Semarang cause a variety of problems, one of which is the bottleneck. BRT Trans Semarang is one government program to tackle the issue. This study aims to determine the effect of quality of service, tariffs and facilities for passenger satisfaction Trans Semarang BRT corridor II. Data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires, while the sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 100. The data was analyzed through the validity, reliability, product moment correlation, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F. test quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS version 20. The results showed that the quality of service, rates and facilities significant effect on passenger satisfaction BRT corridor II Trans Semarang partially. And quality of service, rates and facilities significant effect on passenger satisfaction Trans Semarang BRT corridor II simultaneously. Trans Semarang service quality BRT Corridor II should be improved. Enhancement can be done by increasing the number of buses, improve the quality of shelter, improving the quality of human resources through training and extending the hours of service that passengers feel comfortable and satisfied when using BRT transportation services Trans Semarang.

Abstract

With the increase of the upper middle class community in Indonesia, then the ability of purchasing power is also higher. It makes the car companies active in presenting new brands for the wishes of consumers fullfiled. Companies like Toyota sure that the brand is their identity of their products to different from competitors. To make the Toyota brand become a favourite consumer, the company is certainly doing promotional activities. From the sales result PT. Nasmoco Majapahit Semarang during the last 5 years, one of the product like a Kijang Innova Gasoline has a drop sales. Many factor cause a drop sales Kijang Innova Gasoline include brand image and promotion. This type of research used is explanatory research. The number of samples in this study was 90 respondents drawn by purposive sampling. Multiple regression analysis is Y = 3.804 + 0.192 X1 + 0.434 X2 so it can be seen that the variable brand image and promotion is jointly positive effect on variable purchase decisions, and which has the greatest influence is promotion variable. Hypothesis test shows that the brand image variable and promotion variable is effect on purchase decisions variable. This is demonstrated by the achievement of all the variable t is greater than t table is 1,9873. Brand image variables have t 9,022, and promotion variable have t 10,086. As for the F test obtained F count of 61,793. And all of these variables were tested at a significance level of 5 %. The advice for PT. Toyota Astra Motor is add GPS monitor in Kijang Innova Interior. With the equipment, consumer can easy to  get map while driving. From the promotion side, needs a creative promotion, that introduce brand with miniseries advertise. With miniseries advertise, brand of Toyota have a different from competitors.

Abstract

This study aimed to test the influence of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) on the customer loyalty of PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang. The population of this study are 100 customers who use the repair shop service of PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang. The author used SPSS 15.0 program to test the regression on the data analysis. And the study results indicates that CRM has a positive and significant influence on the loyalty customers, with the coefficient of determination is 46%. Results of this study indicate that in order to enhance the customer loyalty, PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang should consider the CRM factors consisting of human resources, process and technology. Required intense interaction with the customers through  the customer retention program, as well as good quality of customer service by the employees.

Abstract

PDAM is a company who have to proceed drinking water or clean water in order to maintain public welfare. Work environment and compensation is supporting factors to reached an optimal job satisfaction. A company’s goal will be achieved as well as job satisfaction get higher.The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of work environment and compensation on employees job satisfaction at central Office PDAM Semarang. The type of this research is Explanatory Research with data collection techniques by interviewing using questionnaire. Analysis of data using simple linear regression and multiple regression test with SPSS 16.0. While hypothesis testing using the t test, f test, correlation coefficient, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that working environment has an influence on job satisfaction with a correlation coefficient of 0.464 and a coefficient of determination of 21.5%, the compensation has an effect on job satisfaction with a correlation coefficient of 0.522 and a coefficient of determination of 27.2%, the working environment and compensation together have influence on job satisfaction with the equation Y = 4.150 + 0.107 X1 + 0.237 X2. This means a good working environment and compensation, it will get higher work satisfaction.The conclusion of this research is work environment and compensation has an influence on job satisfaction. Suggestion for the company, needs to improve the working environment in order to give a comfortable workplace and the company needs to review the compensation policy for its employees so that employees feel satisfied, and in the end they will be more motivated to improve their performance.work environment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the development of smartphones, where competition between companies is getting tougher smartphone. Apple is a company engaged in the field of hardware and software, including hardware made by Apple is the Iphone. Apple is proving to be one of the big companies, it is derived from Apple's global sales reached 150 million units, but in Indonesia according to TBI in 2011 through 2013 the percentage is only able to control less than 5%, as well as on sales in Semarang according Sinarmas Mobile for 4 months experienced a low point only the highest selling 12 units and 18 units. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand image and product quality to eputusan purchase iPhone. This type of research is explanatory research, with data collection through a questionnaire, literature study and interviews. The sampling technique using census techniques using research instrument questionnaire. The sample in this study amounted to 58 respondents who are iPhone users on S1 students FISIP Diponegoro University. This study uses linear regression analysis techniques and the significance test is used to prove the hypothesis using SPSS for windows version 20.0. The results showed that the brand image (X1), and product quality (X2), both jointly and individually a positive influence on purchase decisions dependent variable (Y). Simultaneously the brand image, product quality, has an influence on purchasing decisions by 40.7% according to multiple regression. Suggestions from this study is that Apple needs to improve the quality of products on the batteries to meet the needs of consumers and strengthen the brand image on promotional products.

Abstract

Marketing job performance its achievements sales target that was determined in accordance with. Design a good job, work culture that appropriate and job satisfaction, will be able to increase performance marketing. But the achievement results sales that is not suitable target and decreased if compared with previous period is still happen. This Research using census sampling techniques to 56 marketing employees of  PT Nyonya Meneer Semarang by using this method interview and instrument data collection questionnaire and guiding interview. Data analyzed in qualitative and quantitative with through tests the validity, and trial reliability. While data analysis done by using regression analysis simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t-test, F test, path analysis and sobel test. Results of the study showed that job design and work culture significantly affect satisfaction to work and performance. Based on the results count analysis of the line and sobel test showed that the job satisfaction employees is a partial variable mediation between the job design and work culture and suggestions to employees performance that was given. should also be able to build a relationship a harmonious relationship with the owner outlet jamu (northen outlet) that will be able to increase sales PT Nyonya Meneer Semarang.

Abstract

Blackberry smartphone has become a popular brand among people and be the Top Brand in the Top Brand Index (TBI) in Indonesia. The Blackberry’s Top Brand Index is not followed by a good achievement, the Blackberry’s Top Brand Index from 2011 to 2013 is decreasing every year, If the decline is not quickly addressed, the blackberry smartphone brand can be plunge. Right now more and more smartphone brand is distributed in market and most likely will shift the blackberry smartphone’s popularity in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the effect of competitor’s product attractiveness, variety seeking behavior toward consumer loyalty through consumer satisfaction of Blackberry smartphone. This study is included in the explanatory research. Data collection techniques with accidental sampling method with a sample of 100. analyzes conducted qualitatively and quantitatively. Instrumental test using the validity test and reliability test. Quantitative data analysis using crosstab, product moment correlation, simple linear regression coefficient of determination, multiple regression, t test, F test, and path analysis. The results of this study indicate that the competitor’s product attractiveness and variety seeking behavior have significantly negative effect on consumer satisfaction partially and simultaneously, consumer satisfaction has significantly positive effect on consumer loyalty. Based on the path analysis, the independent variable competitor’s product attractiveness have a larger indirect impact on consumer loyalty and variety seeking behavior have a larger direct impact on consumer loyalty.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries today. Consequently, people think that travelling is a lifestyle nowadays. This phenomenon led to increase tourist numbers. It also experienced by Umbul Sidomukti, a holiday destination with REAL concepts in Mount Ungaran. But the tourist numbers continued to declined from 2009 to 2013.Tourist will looking information before making decisions. Electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) has been one of the resources that are used frequently. Furthermore, tourist will assess how the tourism product attributes offered. Therefore, this paper aims to examine tourism product attributes and electronic word of mouth’s influence on travel decisions in Umbul Sidomukti. The type of research is explanatory research. Interviews with questionnaire were adopted for data collection in this study. Hundred people were employed as respondent by purposive sampling technique. They were Umbul Sidomukti’s tourist who reside in Semarang and find out about Umbul Sidomukti from internet.The research results showed that tourism product attributes and electronic word of mouth influenced on travel decisions, partially or simultaneously. The results obtained by analyzing primary data with validity test, reliability test, crosstab analysis, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, and a significance (t anf F) using SPSS for Windows version 15,0.Based on the results, the researcher suggests that Umbul Sidomukti’s management has to improve infrastructures such as roads and road signage, provision of public transportation, provide innovation on tourism products, and manage Umbul Sidomukti’s website to be more informative and interactive so the tourist numbers can increase.
