Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of price, service quality and brand image of the decision of policyholder in choosing Jiwasraya Insurance. Type of research is explanatory research. With a sample of 95 respondents who use Jiwasraya insurance through non probabiliti sampling technique which is purposive sampling. The analysis technique uses test validity, reliability testing, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, T test and F test with SPSS tools 16. The results of this study indicate that the price, service quality, and brand image of Jiwasraya Insurance is quite good. Purchasing decisions are also included in good categorization. The influence rate of price on purchase decisions is 35.9%. The influence rate of service quality on purchase decisions is 26.8%. The influence rate of brand image on purchase decisions is 50.5%. Simultaneously, the influence rate of price, service quality and brand image is at 58.5%. Based on data analysis, it can be inferred partially and simultaneously that the price, service quality and brand image significantly influence purchasing decisions and have a strong level of closeness relationship. It is suggested that companies need to enhance the benefits obtained, quality of service and maintain the existence of the company so that the company's existence remains credible and finally leads to higher purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Some of the factors that affect the performance of the employees include motivation, leadership, and work environment. This study aims to identify and explain the influence of motivation, leadership, and work environment on employee performance of operational Boshe VVIP Club Bali. This type of research is explanatory research. The technique of collecting data using interviews, documentation, observations, and questionnaires. The conclusion of this study is a significant difference between motivation, leadership, and work environment on employee performance of operational Boshe VVIP Club Bali Based on these conclusions, the company needs to pay attention to things about the chance of getting a reward for employees, the level of satisfaction of the employee benefits obtained , leadership skills and managerial skills for leadership, and are also more selective in the choice and placement of employees in accordance with the atmosphere of the working environment in Boshe VVIP Club BaliKeywords: compensation, work discipline, motivation to work, employee performance

Abstract

Nowadays, people has been aware about the importance of health. Public awareness about the importance of health is an opportunity for health sevice especially hospital. Therefore, many hospitals are competing to provide satisfaction for its customers. There are several factors that affect patient satisfaction such as service quality, location, and hospital rate. Based on the existing problems in this research is the result of pre-survey of 30 respondents which indicate patient dissatisfaction. This research purpose to find out positive and significant influence of service quality, location, and hospital rate on hospitalized patient satisfaction at Lestari Raharja Hospital Magelang. This research included in explanatory. Taked 88 respondents as sample with proportionate stratified random sampling method. Collecting data used questionnaire and interview. Hypotheses tested by crosstab, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test, and F test. The result of this research show that service quality, location, and hospital rate are proved have positive and significant affect in partially and simultaneously on Patient Satisfaction.

Abstract

Development of service industries, especially the hospitality industry today is one business that began in great demand by investors in Indonesia. With the improving economic growth and make the hotel business is not only to meet the accommodation needs of tourists, but also used as a lobby, parties, weddings, seminars and accommodation both business and government activities. For any guests or customer service quality factor, and price become the benchmark in customer satisfaction. The existence of good service, and the appropriate price will have an impact on customer satisfaction made​​. Good customer satisfaction will impact on hotel room occupancy rate increased. This study aimed to determine how much influence the service quality, and price to customer satisfaction on Hotel Pandanaran Semarang either partially or simultaneously. This type of study is explanatory research. Data collecting technique using questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents as service users of Hotel Pandanaran Semarang. Sampling technique using purposieve sampling. Data analysis technique using linear regression analysis. The research suggests that company should improvement of service quality in terms of the skills of the employee in completing the work by conducting training. In terms of price to be adjusted between room rates, room types and amenities. In terms of customer satisfaction should be augmented security personnel to enhance the sense of security and comfortincrease

Abstract

This study is based on the tourism phenomenon developed into a worldwide industry and the developing business industry. The developing tourism business industry creates high competition among tourism destinations. The organizers of tourism destinations are competing to increase the number of tourist visitors. Borobudur Temple Tourism which is the main tourist destination of Central Java, especially Magelang Regency, is prioritized to gain more visitors. However since 2009 until 2012 there was a fluctuation in decline of domestic tourist visitors. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of destination image, tourism facilities and experiential marketing towards loyalty through satisfaction in Borobudur Temple Tourism. The type of this research is explanatory research, with data collecting technique by questionnaire and interview. The sampling technique of this research use purposive sampling. The sample in this research were 100 respondents who were Borobudur temple’s domestic tourists. This research is uses qualitative and quantitative analysis technique. Quantitative analysis use validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, a signification test (t test and F test) and path analysis.The result of this research approved that destination image (X1), tourism facilities (X2), and experiential marketing (X3) partially or simultaneously can influenced visitors’ satisfaction (Y1) and visitors’ loyalty (Y2). According the result of path analysis showed that visitors’ satisfaction variable is not intervening variable towards visitors’ loyalty in this research.

Abstract

The need for human resources are not small and labor requirements vary with the complex challenges of the work is a problem for a company. PT. APAC INTI CORPORA engaged in textiles that need to maintain human resources work in order to meet the quantity and quality of the product. However, in 2013 the production and performance of any inconsistency unfavorable assessments on the performance of the employee.The purpose of research to determine the effect of work commitment, job stress, and work discipline on employee performance Spinning Part III PT. APAC INTI CORPORA. This research method is explanatory, data collection through interviews with questionnaires. Proportionate stratified random sampling technique is used with a sample of 87 people. The analysis technique used was qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative analysis using validity, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, cross tabulation, and tests of significance.Categorization work commitment is high, but there are some that in the low category. Employee stress is low, but there is still residing in the high category. Discipline employees in good condition, although there is still a lack of good condition. The level of employee performance is good, but there are still employees who have low performance. Results and discussion showed the higher commitment to work, the higher the performance of employees, reduced work stress, the higher the performance of employees, and the better labour discipline, the higher the performance of employees, simultaneously work commitment, work stress, and labour discipline affect employee performance.Companies must increase loyalty to employees, to put forward a conducive atmosphere in work activities, and socializing with good rules, provide counseling regarding the standards and efficiency of work, and the need for further research by the company or outside parties on other variables such motivation, job satisfaction, training work, which can affect employee performance improvement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by consumer behaviour which are varied and difficult to predict that causes the business world changes so fast. Consumers wants a products that suits their taste, lifestyle, and their needs. This leads the companies to experiencing strict competition caused by the increasingly consumer complex demands. One of the product that always follow consumer tastes is shoes. Shoes is no longer needed only for a footwear that protects feet from sharp objects, but also as a fashion product, so the design, material, and pattern became very varied. However, in the period 2009-2013 the sales of Converse sneakers shoes has fluctuated and always under Adidas, Nike and Bata.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lifestyle, brand imange and product quality on purchase decision of Converse sneakers shoes. This research method is explanatory, with data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The sampling technique used purposive and proportional technique sampling. The samples are 96 peoples whom are college student of Diponegoro University Semarang. The analysis technique used was qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative analysis using validity, reliability,correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple regression analysis, as well as the significance test (t test and F test).            The results of this study showed a relatively good level of lifestyle, brand image and product quality and high purchase decision.All independent variables, namely lifestyle (X1), brand image (X2), and product quality (X3) together (simultaneously) or individually (partial) affect purchase decision dependent variable (Y). Advice that can be given is the need to improve ways of promotion, innovate in the design of Converse sneakers that are  to not assessed as monotonous and provide many options to purchases Converse sneakers shoes.

Abstract

The existence and success of an organization in achieving its objectives , can not be separated from the human resource factor . Human resources has a very important role in a variety of sectors , because the human resource is the key factor to mobilize other resources that exist in the company Once the importance of the role of human resources resulted in an organization should allocate some substantial funds for the improvement of human resources . To realize the desired goal , then one of them is to improve the performance of human resources in an optimal             This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and organizational commitment to employee performance on the job satisfaction with mediation PT . BPR Setia Abadi Carib Semarang . The population in this study were all employees of the BPR Setia Abadi Carib Semarang totaling 73 people , so this is a research study census . The analytical tool used in this study is a simple regression , multiple linear regression and path analysis .             Based on the results of the analysis show the organizational culture , organizational commitment and job satisfaction has an influence on employee performance . Judging from the calculation of the coefficient of determination indicates that organizational culture , organizational commitment , job satisfaction variables were able to explain 78.8 % of the employee 's performance . where the coefficient of determination organizational culture has an influence of 70.1 % . 40.9 % of organizational commitment , and job satisfaction was 66.4 % , against the performance of employees . This shows that organizational culture has a greater impact and has a strong degree of closeness of relationship to the performance of employees . Based on the results of the data analysis we can conclude the influence of organizational culture , organizational commitment to employee performance on the job satisfaction with mediation PT BPR Setia Abadi Karib Semarang .              Advice can be given in this study is to enhance and improve the commitment and job satisfaction can be done by giving priority attention to the work , provide rewards to employees in the form of direct flattery of superiors sehinngga employees will be proud of the job that can spur employees to work more optimal .

Abstract

This research is motivated by the needs of consumers on the internet increasing. IM3 is one simcard which provides internet package, however there are several factors that cause consumers to switch to other brands. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence consumers to make the switch from brand IM3 brand to another brand.This type of research is explanatory research. The sampling technique include nonprobability sampling technique is purposive sampling. The sample in this research were 100 respondents who are barchelor’s degree students of Social and Politic faculty Diponegoro University Semarang. Scale measurements using a Likert scale. In the analysis of the test used factor analysis with SPSS 20.Based on the analysis, the variable price, product quality, advertising, and lifestyle have a effect on the decision of brand switching. Lifestyle variable has the most impact amounted 28.8%. The variable of price has the effect amounted 15.3%. The variable of quality products has the effect amounted 7,8%. The variable of advertising has 26,3%.Conclusion of the research  shows the factors that influence consumers to make the switch from IM3 to another brand consists of price, quality of products, advertising, and lifestyle. Based on the results of the PT. Indosat, Tbk should establish the price which proper with benefit, product quality should be improved, clearer advertising messages, and more dynamic in following consumer lifestyle will need the internet.

Abstract

HSE implementation and compensation are the factors that may increase employees performance. Based on preface survey in PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR IV there are some problems about HSE and compensation that unsuitable with occupation responsibility.The purpose of study was to know HSE and compensation had influence to employees performance partially and simultaneously. The analysis used qualitatif analysis and quantity analysis that were including data quality test, crosstab, corelation test, regression test, and significant test by SPSS 20.0 software. The test results demonstrate that HSE and compensation had influence to employees performance partially and simultaneously. Based on double regression test with signification 0.020, that means HSE had influence more significant than compensation to employees performance at PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR IV. PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR IV should to equip the HSE tools completesly by adding masker and adjust the employees allowance with job result for increasing employees performance too.
