Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of songs and games in English vocabulary learning, using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Relevant literature was reviewed from data sources such as Scopus and ScienceDirect using Boolean keywords structured as prompts to narrow down focused data. This study aims to identify previous research that discusses the role of songs and games in English language learning, particularly in vocabulary acquisition. The selected relevant studies were then analyzed to understand the learning mechanisms applied and how effective these mechanisms are in supporting the English learning process for EFL students. This study resulted in 20 articles; however, not all describe the mechanisms of song-based games in detail, as they only mention possible approaches or strategies applied in English learning. The approach used is Multimodal Learning (MML), which incorporates visual, auditory, textual, and kinesthetic elements. This is supported by game elements such as rewards and punishments, points or scores, challenges, and feedback to enhance student engagement and retention.

Abstract

Online markets in Indonesia which provide easy services for traders and buyers, in carrying out community economic activities. The pandemic condition (stay at home) has also triggered the rise of the online market so that post-pandemic it encourages changes in consumer lifestyle patterns in society and increase the expedition service businesses for the delivery of goods and food packages, especially in final delivery activities (last mile) which are directly for the purpose of servicing recipient consumers. Highlighting motorbike vehicles which are widely used for goods delivery expeditions, these are not specifically designed as a means of transporting goods, so the goods carried are very at risk of being damaged by falls and rainy weather which often hampers performance as a courier. The aim of this activity is identify goods transportation facilities are needed for courier officers (last mile) to meet the criteria for the expedition designation category who can deliver goods to the front of the house according to the customer's expectations. This activity uses design thinking and interview methods. This activity focuses on analyzing the feasibility and effectiveness as a means of supporting the delivery of online service packages by courier workers, using two-wheeled motorbikes. This activity shows the current problem of the courier officers (last mile) that use their private motorbikes, even though these motorbikes are not specifically designed as a means of transporting goods. Meanwhile, the needs and opportunities for working as a courier require that you still be able to carry out your expeditions, using existing facilities, namely a sack as a container for storing luggage plus a strap. This gradually requires design improvements to increase professionalism in the field of last mile services. It is hoped that this activity can be used as reference material for vehicle designers, as a last mile supporting facility which is a design requirement that includes placement position, width dimensions, load capacity, and factors for goods safety and courier safety.

Abstract

Information about the spread of the coronavirus is circulated through various information channels in the society, both mainstream media, alternative media, social media, and daily conversation. One of the information channels that is widely used and referenced by the public is social media. Dissemination of information about the expanse of the coronavirus on social media is arranged by various individuals. This study will explain the disemination of information relating to covid-19 in terms of the social class of the reader. In this study, we use critical discourse analysis as a method for analyzing data. This study finding is that the information circulation about coronavirus in social media is class bias. General information is conducted through formal language by middle-class groups. On the other hand, many people present alternative information in the form of memes, jokes, and funny content that contains information about spreading the coronavirus. This phenomenon can be categorized as a lower social class attempt to understanding and spreading information about the coronavirus (Cinelli, et al., 2020)outbreak. The media used to disseminate this information contains text, images/photos, or videos that contain memes, organizes, and funny content. This phenomenon can be seen as a lower-class struggle to educate its class in situations and conditions caused by the coronavirus.
