Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a STEM-integrated Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving elementary school students’ numeracy literacy skills and cognitive learning outcomes (understanding). A quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group was used, involving two groups: an experimental group (PBL-STEM) and a control group (conventional instruction). Both groups took pre- and post-tests to measure numeracy literacy and mathematical comprehension. Data analysis included N-Gain scores, tests of normality and homogeneity, and mean-difference tests (ANOVA and t-test). The results showed that the experimental group’s average N-Gain for numeracy literacy was 41.67%, higher than the control group’s 28.57%, but this difference was not statistically significant (F = 1.799; p = 0.195). In contrast, the increase in cognitive learning outcomes in the experimental group (N-Gain = 33.64%) was significantly greater than in the control group (N-Gain = 13.98%) (t = 2.266; p = 0.035; 95% CI [1.560, 37.757]). Moreover, the mastery rate (minimum competency score = 70) for both numeracy literacy and comprehension reached 100% in the experimental class, compared to 71% in the control class. These findings confirm that PBL-STEM effectively strengthens conceptual understanding and ensures students meet minimum competency, although further optimization of intervention duration and resource support is needed to achieve significant gains in numeracy literacy. It is recommended that PBL-STEM implementation be accompanied by teacher training and adequate supporting facilities to enhance its impact on numeracy literacy.

Abstract

The concept of entrepreneurial character according to the student profile strengthening program Pancasila seeks to build the ability of students to hone the soul entrepreneurship from an early age, teaches honesty, creativity, cooperation, responsibility and never give up. The character of this Pancasila student becomes part of efforts to build global competence of Indonesian students as lifelong learners with behavior according to Pancasila values ??in the midst of the era of society 5.0. Hopefully, with entrepreneurial ability with character, students are able to seize opportunities and compete locally, regionally and globally. The results of observations found in the field show that entrepreneurship education has not become an integrated part of the curriculum at SD Negeri Duren. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Menyusui secara optimal merupakan upaya penting dalam meningkatkan kesehatan ibu dan bayi, namun masih banyak ibu hamil (bumil) dan ibu menyusui (busui) yang mengalami kendala, salah satunya mastitis. Mastitis sering terjadi akibat teknik menyusui yang tidak tepat, kurangnya pengetahuan tentang perawatan payudara, serta keterlambatan penanganan tanda awal peradangan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bumil dan busui dalam optimalisasi menyusui serta pencegahan mastitis di Balai RW XIV Simo Gunung Kramat Barat. Metode kegiatan meliputi edukasi kesehatan melalui ceramah interaktif, diskusi, demonstrasi teknik menyusui yang benar, perawatan payudara, serta deteksi dini tanda dan gejala mastitis. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test untuk menilai peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman bumil dan busui mengenai teknik pelekatan yang benar, frekuensi menyusui, serta langkah pencegahan dan penanganan awal mastitis. Peserta juga menunjukkan antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif selama kegiatan berlangsung. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung keberhasilan menyusui, menurunkan kejadian mastitis, serta meningkatkan kesehatan ibu dan bayi di wilayah RW XIV Simo Gunung Kramat Barat.
