Abstract

An experiment was conducted to study blood profile, milk yield and liveweight gain of dairy cows as affected by dietary different quality of diets. The experiment used 15 lactating PFH were assigned into three treatments of diets and  five replication, three treatments of diets were : 1) T1 (CP 12% dan TDN 65%); 2) T2 (CP 14% dan TDN 70%) dan 3) T3 (CP 16% dan TDN 75%).The results of this experiment showed that the average of dry matter (DM) intake on Tl, T2 and T3 treatments were 8,59; 10,03 and 10,94 kg/d, respectively (P<0,01). The average of crude protein intake (CP) on T1, T2 and T3 treatments were 1,06; 1,44 and 1,71 kg/d (P<0,01), also the average of TDN intake on T1, T2 and T3 treatments were 5,52; 6,86 and 8,02 kg/d (P<0,01). The average of Hemoglobin (Hb) concentration on T1, T2 and T3 treatments were 10,21: 11,18 and 10,44 g/dl (P>0,05), also the average of eritrosit value on TI, T2 and T3 treatments were 3,37; 3,73 and 3,48 million/mm3;, respectively (P>0,05). The average of milk yield on T1, T2 and T3 treatments were 8,12; 11,29 and 13,42 l/d (P<0,05). The average of liveweight gain on TI, T2 and T3 treatments were 81,66; 117,71 and 320,00 g/d (P>0,05). The conclusions of this research was the highest level of CP and "1'DN in diets (CP 16% and TDN 75%) showed that feed intake (DM, CP and TDN) and milk yield gave the best than other treatments. Different dietary quality of diets altered significant on feed intake (DM, CP and TDN) and milk yield, but the treatments did not affect on liveweight gain, Fib and eritrosit concentration. Key words :     diets quality, feed intake, blood profile, milk yield, liveweight gain, dairy cows

Abstract

The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of transfer protection PUFA and L-carnitin on the ration on chemist composition of dairy milk In total, 15 female dairy goats of 2-4 year this old Peranakan Etawah (PE) with body weight of 25-55 kg were used in this experiment. The assay diets included a basal diet (control) based on yellow corn, rice bran, soy bean meal and coconut meal, mineral, tuna fish oil and lemuru fish oil. The method of the research was experimental in vivo using Completely Randomized Blok Design (RAK). There were 5 treatment in each treatment and 3 replication. Treatment consisted of P0 = control ration, P1 = P0 +50% market waste subtition grass on the ration, P2 = P1+500 ppm L-karnitin on the ration, P3 = P1+protection tuna fish oil 5% in the ration and P4 = P1+ protection lemuru fish oil 5% in the ration. The variables measuared content composition dairy milk goat. The results of variance analysis showed that the effect of suplementation protection PUFA in the rations on market waste contain 500 ppm L-carnitine were significantly (P<0.01) of acid goats milk composition. The conclusion of this research shows that the suplementation protection PUFA in the ration contain 500 ppm L-carnitine, can decrease milk cholesterol from 0,482% to 0,420%, LDL from 45,30 to 33,13 mg/dl. There for to increase HDL from 54,70 to 66,87 mg/dl, omega-3 fatty acid from 1,10% to 4,04%, omega-6 fatty acid from 1,46% to 18,80 percent. Keywords: composition dairy milk goats, L-carnitine, protection PUFA fatty acid

Abstract

This activity aims to increase the productivity of cattle in farms of the people through improvement of feed. This event was held in the village whole observatories, District Selo, Boyolali. Proximate analysis carried out in the laboratory feed and Nutrition, Husbandry Program, Faculty of Agriculture UNS. The material used is a member Gapoktan Sari Bumi Handayani and KTT Lembu Suro, cattle weighing 269.50 ± 31,44 kg and feed. Green feed such as rice straw and concentrate (P0, P1 and P2). The method used is 1) a discussion and interviews using a structured questionnaire, 2) technology training and extension activities preparation of cattle feed and feeding management of livestock with FGD (Focus Group Discussion), 3) Method of pilot maintenance beef cattle feedlots system for 1 month. The parameters measured were feed intake, Added Daily Body Weight (PBBH), Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) as well as the cost of revenue and 4) monitoring activities. The collected data is then analyzed and presented descriptively. The results obtained activity 1) the involvement of members of the two groupstotaling 22 people (18 men and 4 women) and the majority (55%) aged 41-50 years in counseling and training activities, 2) the level of knowledge and skills of farmers before and after activity increased (the results of the pre test and post-test of 4,91 to 8,04), 3) obtained two kinds of concentrate applied to pilot the maintenance of beef cattle, 4) monitoring the pilot obtained feed consumption for P0, P1 and P2 are respectively 206,08; 282,92 and 245,52 kg. PBBH to P0, P1 and P2 are respectively 0,80; 1,23 and 0,98 kg. FCR for P0, P1 and P2 are respectively 9,16; 8,20 and 8,93. Cost of revenue for the P0, P1 and P2 respectively is Rp 485.300,00; Rp 654.880,00; Rp 403.871,00 per head per month. The conclusion drawn is concentrate feed 1 (P1) is the best feed for optimizing the productivity of cattle. Keywords: complete feed, beef cattle productivity, farm people, Boyolali

Abstract

The objective of research was to evaluate the effect of different level of decomposers from bioethanol waste as a bioactivator to compost nutrient content. The materials used in this study were feces collected from six 3 to 5 years old of male Fresian Holstein (PFH), and decomposer agents from processed-bioethanol waste. The experimental design used was completely randomized design with four treatments and six replications, i.e. P1: 0.4% of decomposer, P2: 0.5% of decomposer, P3: 0.6% of decomposer, P4: 0.7 of decomposer %. Analysis of nutrient contents of compost was conducted at the the Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility, Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. Data analysis was performed using Minitab 17 software. The results of the analysis of variance showed that different levels of decomposer affected organic C, phosphor (P), Kalium (K), and Magnesium (Mg). Organic C, P, K, and Mg contents were found highest in P2, on the other hand N and Ca contents, C/N ratio, pH, and temperature of compost were not different among treatments. It could be concluded that compost made with 0.5% decomposer agents from processed-bioethanol waste was the best.
