Abstract

Biogas is becoming a main potential renewable energy resource that provides an environmentally friendly energy easily accessed by people in the rural area. So far, there are three main common concepts of biogas digester as the Fixed Dome biogas digester, the floating dome digester, and the Baloon Plastic digester. With their specific characteristics, the fixed dome and the balloon plastic digester are potential to be applied in Indonesia. In this work, the modification of fixed dome biogas digester concept using cylindrical concrete (buis beton) is introduced. This novel technology promises comparable strength and leaks free characteristics of fixed dome concept, with several benefits such as easier construction and more economical. A conceptual design toward economical aspects is presented in this manuscript.

Abstract

The objective of research was to evaluate the effect of different level of decomposers from bioethanol waste as a bioactivator to compost nutrient content. The materials used in this study were feces collected from six 3 to 5 years old of male Fresian Holstein (PFH), and decomposer agents from processed-bioethanol waste. The experimental design used was completely randomized design with four treatments and six replications, i.e. P1: 0.4% of decomposer, P2: 0.5% of decomposer, P3: 0.6% of decomposer, P4: 0.7 of decomposer %. Analysis of nutrient contents of compost was conducted at the the Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility, Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. Data analysis was performed using Minitab 17 software. The results of the analysis of variance showed that different levels of decomposer affected organic C, phosphor (P), Kalium (K), and Magnesium (Mg). Organic C, P, K, and Mg contents were found highest in P2, on the other hand N and Ca contents, C/N ratio, pH, and temperature of compost were not different among treatments. It could be concluded that compost made with 0.5% decomposer agents from processed-bioethanol waste was the best.

Abstract

Pemberian pakan komplit yang mengandung limbah pertanian kepada ternak akan meningkatkan utilitas bahan pakan terutama limbah pertanian. Pengawetan dengan cara silase bisa menjadi solusi saat pakan sulit ditemukan di musim kemarau. Silase yang ditambahkan additif akan meningkatkan kualitas fermentasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh yang ditimbulkan dari pakan silase pakan komplit dengan aditif fermented juice lactic acid bacteria (FJLB) yang berbeda terhadap imbangan energi dan nitrogen ternak domba lokal. Sebanyak 12 ternak domba lokal jantan dengan bobot badan awal 17,67 ± 1,7 kg (umur 12 bulan) disusun dalam rancangan acak lengkap.  Ransum terdiri dari jerami padi, bungkil kedelai, jagung, dedak padi, pollard dan mineral mix yang disilase menjadi pakan komplit selama 3 minggu. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini antara lain yaitu T1= Silase tanpa aditif FJLB, T2= Silase dengan aditif FJLB dari Pennisetum purpureum, T3= Silase dengan aditif FJLB dari Pennisetum purpupoides, dengan 4 ulangan tiap perlakuan. Analisis data menggunakan uji ANNOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi energi dan energi tercerna pada T2 lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan control dan T3. Pemberian FJLB memberikan nilai kecernaan energi, energi termetabolisme, dan energi metana yang sama di semua perlakuan. Penambahan aditif FJLB menurunkan konsumsi protein kasar, namun aspek protein kasar tercerna, kecernaan protein kasar, protein kasar termetabolisme, dan allantoin menunjukkan nilai yang sama dengan kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan penambahan aditif FJLB pada silase pakan komplit masih memberikan deposisi energi dan protein yang sama.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate participation rate of farmer in the production of cattle dung-based organic fertilizer program at Kaliboto village. This study was action research using participatory rural appraisal (PRA) approach through community partnership program conducted by Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) team. The subject of this study was farmers who are actively taking a part during a year and half of program. They were incorporated in “Suka Maju” farmer group. The data was collected using interview technique, focus group discussion (FGD), and also observation. The result of this study showed that participation of farmer was categorized as moderate participation due to the program was well planned by UNS team, although farmers were involved in program scheduling. The farmer participation was high during program implementation which is indicated by the high number of farmers joint in the training session covering production to marketing of organic fertilizer. In addition, the participation rate of farmer was categorized as moderate in evaluating of the program which is indicated by the small number of farmers giving advices and inputs for program sustainability.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to provide outreach through knowledge about feeding management and parasitic diseases in horses. Community service activities by the TAP&D (Tropical Animal Production and Disease) Research Group were held at the Bendi Horse Sukoharjo community group on June 25, 2023, in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java. Data were collected using interviews and observation. All data obtained were then analyzed descriptively. The horses used are descendants of Banyuwangi horses. This bendi is used by the owner to attract or transport tourists who come to Sukoharjo Square every Monday to Sunday. The horses used are generally small, and some are even skinny. After analyzing horse faeces in the laboratory at the start of the pre-survey, it was found that 100% of the bendi horses in the association were infected with worms. Diseases in horses can also be caused by poor feed management. So, the solution is to provide education on maintaining good horse practices, especially feed management. The next problem is that the feed given to horses usually consists of long grass, so the horse doesn't eat all the parts. The solution we provide is a grass chopper. After the service activities were carried out, farmers increased their knowledge regarding parasitic diseases in horses and good feed management. This service activity concludes that horse farmers have increased knowledge about good horse care and about horse diseases.

Abstract

Sosialisasi nikah siri dan talak siri merupakan langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan kesadaran hukummasyarakat, khususnya di lingkungan Majelis Ta’lim Nurul Islam Karawang. Penelitian pengabdian inibertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada jamaah mengenai urgensi pencatatan pernikahan dantalak sesuai dengan ketentuan hukum negara. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, diskusiinteraktif, dan penyebaran materi edukasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakattentang dampak negatif nikah siri dan talak siri, seperti lemahnya perlindungan hukum bagi perempuandan anak. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat sinergi antara hukum agama dan hukum negara dalammewujudkan keluarga yang harmonis dan terjamin hak-haknya. Sosialisasi ini memberikan kontribusisignifikan dalam membangun kesadaran hukum masyarakat dan mendorong mereka untuk lebih aktifmenjaga kepastian hukum keluarga.Kata Kunci: nikah siri, talak siri, hukum

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menganalisis kinerja keuangan PT Gudang Garam Tbk selama periode 2022 hingga 2024 dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis rasio keuangan. Analisis difokuskan pada empat kelompok rasio utama: likuiditas, solvabilitas, aktivitas, dan profitabilitas. Data yang digunakan merupakan laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan yang telah dipublikasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa current ratio berada di atas standar ideal dan tergolong sangat baik, namun quick ratio mengindikasikan ketergantungan tinggi terhadap persediaan. Dari aspek solvabilitas, debt to equity ratio menunjukkan struktur permodalan yang cukup sehat, sementara debt to asset ratio masih di bawah standar ideal. Rasio aktivitas menunjukkan efisiensi dalam penggunaan aset tetap dan total aset, tetapi perputaran persediaan masih rendah. Dari sisi profitabilitas, rasio NPM, ROA, dan ROE seluruhnya berada di bawah standar ideal, menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan perusahaan dalam menghasilkan laba, terutama pada tahun 2024. Secara keseluruhan, PT Gudang Garam Tbk memiliki kekuatan pada likuiditas dan efisiensi aset, namun menghadapi tantangan dalam profitabilitas dan struktur pendanaan. Temuan ini memberikan pemahaman terkini mengenai kesehatan finansial perusahaan di tengah dinamika industri rokok dan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengambilan keputusan strategis.

Abstract

Lifting aircraft or crane is a combination of a lifting mechanism separately with a frame to lift and or simultaneously move loads that can be hung freely or tied to a crane. Part of the crane hoist has a main component called a crane hook that functions as a load or material hook. The hook is one of the hoisting elements that is very important in crane operations[9]. The types of hooks differ in terms of function, material, form and safety factor, so they must be analyzed, inspected and tested properly so as not to endanger workers in the field. The analysis was carried out numerically using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2020 software[2] . Analysis of hooks generally uses analytical methods or calculations with mathematical models and standardized (common) Algebraic formulas, along with the development of technology today, many engineering sciences have been developed in the field of finite element science which unites mathematics, engineering and science. computer to produce software such as Autodesk Autocad, Autodesk Inventor. In the simulation results of the finite element software on the hook for a loading of 25 tons, the single hook type obtained a maximum stress of 807.809 MPa and the deflection that occurred was 1.444 mm, in the double hook type the maximum stress was 532.632 MPa and the deflection was 0.1871 mm. The simulation results will then be compared with the results of analytical calculations. Analytical calculations for single hooks obtained working stress of 761,729MPa, on double hooks of 387,102 Based on the simulation results and analytical calculations, it can be concluded that the crane hook structure is still within safe limits. This is because the yield strength of the material used in AISI A514 alloy steel is 890 MPa. However, of the three types of hooks at a loading of 25 tons, single hooks have the greatest potential for failure.

Abstract

Ayam wajib disembelih sesuai dengan syariat Islam untuk menghasilkan daging halal dan aman dikonsumsi oleh penduduk Indonesia yang mayoritas muslim. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pada Rumah Potong Ayam (RPA) dan proses penyembelihan ayam di sekitar kota Surakarta. Evaluasi proses pemotongan ayam dilakukan 18 RPA yang berada di sekitar kota Surakarta. Data diperoleh dari wawancara dengan pemilik RPA, juru sembelih halal, serta pengamatan proses penyembelihan secara langsung. Informasi yang diperoleh dicatat pada kuisioner dan pengambilan gambar bagian leher ayam dilakukan setelah ayam disembelih. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua RPA di sekitar Kota Surakarta memenuhi aspek legalitas seperti izin usaha, nomor kontrol veteriner (NKV), maupun sertifikat halal. Penelitian ini menemukan empat dari 18 juru sembelih halal tidak memotong kedua pembuluh darah pada leher sehingga tidak sesuai dengan syariat Islam. Semua RPA juga tidak melakukan pemeriksaan ante-mortem dan post-mortem. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah semua RPA tidak memenuhi standar keamanan pangan dan halal dalam praktik pemotongan ayam di sekitar Kota Surakarta.

Abstract

Soybean groats and earthworms (Lumbricus rubellus) are natural sources of protein, which are easy to obtain. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the effects of protected soybean groats (PSG) and earthworm meal (PEM) in the diet on estrus response, milk production and composition of Saanen Peranakan Etawa (Sapera) dairy goats. These feed supplements were further protected by 1% formaldehyde. A completely randomized design with three treatments consisting of basal diet (P0), 75% basal diet + 25% PSG (P1), and 74.96% basal diet +24.99% PSG and 0.05% PEM (P2) was used in this research. Also, a total of 21 lactating Sapera goats were utilized and equally grouped into these treatments. Milk productions and composition were recorded and checked using a Lactoscan milk analyzer. Moreover, estrus synchronization was applied using the PGF2α and GnRH hormone using the intramuscular (IM) injection method and observing estrus. The data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance while the differentiation of treatments was conducted with Duncan's multiple range test (DMRT). Electrical current resistance, vaginal temperature, vulva color, milk production, fat, total solids, and protein contents were observed to be significantly affected by the supplementation of PSG and PEM (P<0.05). In conclusion, supplementation of PSG and PEM in the diet could improve estrus response, milk production and composition of Sapera goats.
