Abstract

Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  potensi dari tempat pembuangan  sampah akhir ( TPA) Putri Cempo Surakarta sebagai sumber pakan sapi potong. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama enam bulan di beberapa  lokasi  antara  lain 1) TPA  sampah  “Putri  Cempo”  Mojosongo  Surakarta,  untuk  pengambilan sampel  sampah  2) Laboratorium  Biokimia  Nutrisi  Fakultas  Peternakan  UGM  untuk analisis  proksimat (kandungan   nutrien)   sampel  sampah  (organik),   3).  Laboratorium   Pengujian   Veteriner   Balai  Besar Veteriner  (BBVET), Wates Yogyakarta untuk analisis kandungan logam berat (Pb dan Hg) pada sampah organik.  Hasil  pengambilan  sampel  (sampling)  sampah  yang  dibuang  ke  TPA  “Putri  Cempo”  dan dipisahkan     antara sampah organik dan sampah anorganik,  terlihat bahwa jumlah sampah organik jauh lebih banyak daripada yang anorganik. Jumlah sampah organik dari masing-masing sumber sampah yang dibuang di TPA, diantaranya sampah domistik   adalah 63,82%, sampah pasar adalah  83,21% dan sampah umum 67,53%. Hasil analisis proksimat terlihat bahwa kandungan protein (PK)  sampah organik  berkisar antara 10,00 – 12,79%. dan bahan kering (BK) 26,88-34,01 %. Berdasarkan kandungan bahan keringnya, maka total BK sampah organik selama 5 (lima) tahun terakhir adalah berkisar antara 15,81 – 16,56 ribu ton/tahun, jika diasumsikan  bakalan sapi potong yang digemukan dengan bobot badan 300 Kg/ekor dan kemampuan  mengkonsumsi  pakan  (dalam  BK)  sebesar  3%  bobot  badan  (9  Kg/ekor/hari  atau  3.285 Kg/ekor/tahun)   maka   sampah organik tersebut dapat mencukupi 4812 – 5041   ekor. Kandungan logam berat Timbal  atau Plumbum  (Pb) dari sampah organik yang dibuang ke TPA “Putri Cempo”  Surakarta sebesar 12,34 ppm adalah cukup tinggi. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian ini bahwa TPA Putri Cempo Surakarta,  potensial  sebagai sarana penggembalaan  ternak sapi potong,  mengingat  jumlah sampah organik (Bahan Kering) yang dibuang  secara kuantitatif cukup besar yakni 15,81 – 16,56 ribu ton /tahun dan secara kaulitatif masih mengandung  nutrien yang cukup baik yang   dapat dimanfaatkan  oleh sapi potong, akan tetapi tercemar oleh Timbal atau Plumbum (Pb), tetapi tidak tercemar oleh Mercury atau Hydrogyrum (Hg).

Abstract

The aim of this research to determine the effect of supplementation of tofu. tempe, and soy sauce waste in ration on male local sheep performance. This research was carried out during three month, take place on July until October 200E in Minifarm Dept. of Animal Science, Agriculture Faculty of Sebelas Maret University, located in Jatikuwung. Gondangrejo, Karanganyar. It used 12 male local sheeps with average body weight of 15.86 ±0.93 kg, divided into four treatments and three replications, each replication consist of one sheep. The ration consisted of king grass only as basal diet, as many as four percent base on body weight. The treatment given is in the form of feed supplement, that namely without supplement (RO), 250 gram tofu waste (R1), 250 gram tempe waste (R2), and 250 gram soy sauce waste (R3). The data variables collected were feed consumption, dry and organic matter digestibility, crude protein consumption, energy consumption, average daily gain, and feed conversion ratio. All of data except average daily gain was analyzed by completely randomized design one way classification. While average daily gain was analyzed by covariance analyze. The result were significant followed by Duncan new multiple range test. The result showed that average of R0, RI, R2 and R3 for feed consumption 430.52; 720.44; 704.44; 549.08 gram/day, dry matter digestibility (%) 61,07; 72,46; 69,68: 63,60, organic matter digestibility (%) 64,41: 74,94; 72.41; 64,7 1, crude protein consumption 47.66; 106.77; 85.83; 73.70 gram/day, energy consumption 281.82; 482.65; 432.67; 330.83 gram/day, average daily gain 50.00.­1X00: 116.19; 38.10 gram/day and feed conversion ratio 8.74; 5.61; 6.06; 15.2. The result of variance analyze showed that feed supplementation have highly significant effect (P<0.01) on all of the data variable colected. Conclusion of this research was supplementation of tofu waste and tempe waste could improved performance, while soy sauce waste could not improved the performance of male local sheep. Key words : sheep, tofu waste, tempe waste, soy sauce waste, performance

Abstract

The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of transfer protection PUFA and L-carnitin on the ration on chemist composition of dairy milk In total, 15 female dairy goats of 2-4 year this old Peranakan Etawah (PE) with body weight of 25-55 kg were used in this experiment. The assay diets included a basal diet (control) based on yellow corn, rice bran, soy bean meal and coconut meal, mineral, tuna fish oil and lemuru fish oil. The method of the research was experimental in vivo using Completely Randomized Blok Design (RAK). There were 5 treatment in each treatment and 3 replication. Treatment consisted of P0 = control ration, P1 = P0 +50% market waste subtition grass on the ration, P2 = P1+500 ppm L-karnitin on the ration, P3 = P1+protection tuna fish oil 5% in the ration and P4 = P1+ protection lemuru fish oil 5% in the ration. The variables measuared content composition dairy milk goat. The results of variance analysis showed that the effect of suplementation protection PUFA in the rations on market waste contain 500 ppm L-carnitine were significantly (P<0.01) of acid goats milk composition. The conclusion of this research shows that the suplementation protection PUFA in the ration contain 500 ppm L-carnitine, can decrease milk cholesterol from 0,482% to 0,420%, LDL from 45,30 to 33,13 mg/dl. There for to increase HDL from 54,70 to 66,87 mg/dl, omega-3 fatty acid from 1,10% to 4,04%, omega-6 fatty acid from 1,46% to 18,80 percent. Keywords: composition dairy milk goats, L-carnitine, protection PUFA fatty acid

Abstract

This research aims to know the biogas sludge utilization on planting media by looking at the difference in production of sorghum and maize crops. This research was conducted on November 2015 until January 2016 in the area around cultivation of Izzah Sejahtera Farm cattle farm, Jagoan Village, Sambi District, Boyolali District. The material used is planting land, sludge biogas, sorghum and corn seed. The research design used was a complete randomized design of 2 x 2 factorial pattern. The research consisted of two treatment factors namely plant effect (Factor A) and difference of land type (Factor B). Plant factor consists of 2 levels, namely sorghum and corn. Land type difference factor consists of 2 levels, ie land without sludge biogas and land with sludge biogas. The treatment in this study, namely T1P0: Sorgum grown on soil without sludge biogas, T1P1: Sorgum grown on soil with sludge biogas, T2P0: Corn grown on soil without sludge biogas, T2P1: Corn grown on soil without sludge biogas . Each plant consists of 96 plants divided into two, P0: 48 plants and P1: 48, so there are 192 units of experiment. The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance to know the difference of treatment to the observed variables based on F test of 5% level and if there is a significant difference then continued to analyze with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) 5%.

Abstract

Sorghum is include on grains but more widely used for livestock fodder. Sweet sorghum are often referred to as a raw materials for clean industry because almost all of the components of its biomass can be used for various industrial purposes. The aims of the research are to determine the effect of different types of manure on the growth and field of two varieties of sweet sorghum in dry land. The research method is a factorial experiment using Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), consists of two factors, which is sweet sorghum varieties and manure types. The varieties which was used are Numbu and Kawali. The second treatment which was used are without manure, chicken manure, goat manure, cow manure, and kascing. Total treatment combination is ten units and each combination repeated three times. The research variables are plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, leaf area, root length, root volume, fresh weight stover, dry weight stover, number of seeds, seed weight, essence content, and sugar content. Data were analyzed using F test with 95% of confidence level, if there is significantly a difference, and then followed by DMRT method in level of 5%. The result of this research shows that the highest sugar content is Kawali variety treatmented by chicken manure equals to 12.13 obrix. On the other hand, for lowest sugar level is Numbu variety treatmented by cow manure equals to 10.33 obrix. Interaction between types of manure and sweet sorghum varieties occurs in number of seeds per plant. Keywords: dry land, organic manure, sweet sorghum, Sorghum bicolor L.

Abstract

Kondisi lahan pertanian di Kelurahan Pampang, Kapanewon Paliyan, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) lebih dari 95% berupa lahan kering, sehingga sangat tergantung pada ketersediaan air hujan. Tanaman padi gogo dan palawija hanya dapat ditanam sekali setahun. Budidaya sapi potong menjadi pilihan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani, karena nilai sapi sebagai modal/aset usaha juga lebih besar dibanding ternak lain seperti kambing maupun domba. Namun, petani peternak belum menerapkan secara penuh sistem pertanian terpadu dengan memadukan antara tanaman pangan dengan peternakan, dimana limbah tanaman pangan yang dapat dipakai sebagai pakan ternak dan kotoran ternak bisa untuk pupuk tanaman pangan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan bimbingan teknis untuk meningkatkan IPTEKS dalam manajemen pemeliharaan sapi potong dan sistem pertanian terpadu. Kegiatan pertama berupa pemberian materi pertanian terpadu dan manajemen pemeliharaan sapi potong. Kegiatan kedua adalah pelatihan pengolahan pakan ternak berupa jerami amoniasi dan jerami fermentasi. Kegiatan ketiga adalah pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik dari kotoran ternak untuk diaplikasikan di lahan pertanian. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani peternak sehingga dapat menerapkan sistem pertanian terpadu pemeliharaan sapi potong dengan baik.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan KKN oleh kelompok 49 yang dilaksanakan di Kalurahan Pampang, Kapanewon Paliyan, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul diawali dengan melakukan observasi hingga didapatkan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh warga Pampang, yaitu adanya dampak negatif akibat cara pemeliharan sapi potong yang kurang optimal dan kurangnya pemanfaatan limbah pertanian dan peternakan. Sehingga dalam kegiatan ini, KKN UNS 49 bertujuan membantu warga Pampang di Kalurahan Paliyan dalam optimalisasi pemeliharaan sapi potong dan pengelolaan limbah pertanian dan peternakan agar dapat dimanfaatkan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan mencakup observasi, pelatihan, pembuatan pupuk organik cair, silase, dan kompos. Hasilnya adalah menciptakan sistem pertanian dan peternakan yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Secara keseluruhan, keberhasilan pelaksanaan KKN ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif dan solusi berbasis lingkungan dapat membawa dampak positif terhadap keberlanjutan peternakan. Program ini juga mendorong inovasi terkait teknologi di bidang peternakan di Kalurahan Pampang. Kegiatan pertama berupa sosialisasi pemeliharaan sapi potong ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan kedua yaitu pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik cair dari limbah urin kelinci. Kegiatan ketiga adalah pelatihan pembuatan silase dari limbah pertanian. Kegiatan keempat adalah pelatihan pembuatan kompos berbahan dasar kotoran ternak.
