Abstract

In the digital age, technology plays an important role in educational institutions such as Battuta University, helping in streamlining administrative processes and data management. The current reliance on Microsoft Excel for document management at the university proved to be inefficient, leading to issues such as misplaced documents, tracking difficulties, and difficulties in archivist management. To address these challenges, the development of a web-based document management system using the Codeigniter Framework is proposed. By utilizing this system, users can easily access and manage documents from various devices. So that the implementation of such a system is expected to improve the process of handling, tracking, and archiving documents, thus benefiting the university, especially in the field of correspondence.

Abstract

Everything in this world is bound to change, including technological advancements. Technology will never stop developing. The exchange of data and information is now very fast, even in less than a second. At Battuta University, in processing employee salaries, they still use manual calculations and use the Ms. Excel application. This can cause errors in calculating employee salaries and the process of printing pay slips and employee payroll reports that take a long time. In solving this problem, the author designs a website-based employee payroll application. In designing the application, the author uses a system development methodology, namely the waterfall and qualitative methods, with the application program language made in PHP and MySQL database. The results of this design produce a computerized application program which will be used to process web-based employee salaries at Battuta University and it is hoped that the university will find it easier to input data, compile payroll reports faster and more efficiently.

Abstract

The role of alumni data in supporting institutional development and fostering stronger connections between alumni and their alma mater is significant. Battuta University currently lacks an efficient system for collecting and managing alumni data, which has led to a gap in communication and potential missed opportunities for collaboration. This study aims to design a web-based information system tailored for the systematic collection, management, and utilization of alumni data. Using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, this research outlines each stage of system development, from requirements analysis to deployment. The proposed system features a user-friendly interface, secure data storage, and versatile data retrieval options, allowing administrators to update, manage, and access information effectively. The implementation of this system is expected to facilitate a more structured approach to alumni engagement, enhance communication between the university and its graduates, and support data-driven decision-making processes. This web-based solution is projected to improve the efficiency and reliability of alumni data management, contributing to the university’s strategic goals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse and describe the digital marketing optimisation strategies implemented by Gudang Wale to increase onion sales through the Facebook marketplace. This study also identifies effective digital marketing strategies and reveals the obstacles faced in implementing digital marketing in this marketplace. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with 8 informants consisting of the owner of Gudang Wale, senior management, IT staff, digital marketing staff, operational staff, and regular consumers. Informants were determined using purposive sampling techniques. The results show that the digital marketing optimisation strategy is not yet fully effective, with the main obstacles including limited technological knowledge, inadequate IT infrastructure, and unattractive product displays. Although the use of the Facebook marketplace influences consumer behaviour, fierce competition and difficulty in finding products are challenges for consumers. Barriers to digital marketing optimisation impact the effectiveness of sales growth. Therefore, Gudang Wale needs to improve its digital strategy by utilising more advanced technology and enhancing the appeal of its content on the Facebook marketplace to overcome existing barriers and significantly increase onion sales.

Abstract

Bus departure scheduling that is still carried out manually at PT Eldivo Tunas Arta often causes delays in information delivery and difficulties in managing operational schedules. This condition can affect the quality of service provided to customers and reduce the efficiency of company management. This study aims to design and implement an Android-based bus scheduling and ticket reservation system by applying the Round Robin algorithm. The Round Robin algorithm was chosen because it is capable of distributing departure schedules fairly and evenly among available bus fleets. The system development method used in this study is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which consists of several stages including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results of this study show that the developed system can facilitate customers in accessing departure schedule information, booking bus tickets, and making digital payments more efficiently. In addition, from the management perspective, the system can reduce errors in schedule recording and improve operational efficiency. Therefore, the implementation of the Round Robin algorithm in the bus scheduling and ticket reservation system is proven to be effective in improving service quality and operational management of the company.

Abstract

Attendance is a crucial component of educational administration, closely related to teacher discipline and accountability. However, at SMP Bhakti Bangsa Sunggal, attendance is still conducted manually, often leading to delayed recapitulation, recording errors, and data manipulation. This research aims to develop an Android-based teacher attendance application utilizing the Kodular platform integrated with Google Sheets/Firebase as a digital solution that is efficient, transparent, and accurate. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model, which consists of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The resulting application includes features such as user login, attendance through QR-Code scanning, automatic attendance recording, daily and monthly attendance reports, and exporting reports in Excel/PDF format. Black-box testing confirmed that all functions operated properly. Furthermore, trials involving 22 teachers and one administrative staff member showed “very good” responses, with scores of 93% for ease of use, 89% for speed, 91% for accuracy, and 92% for user satisfaction. Based on these findings, the Kodular- based attendance application is proven feasible and effective in replacing the manual system at SMP Bhakti Bangsa Sunggal. The application enhances administrative efficiency, improves data accuracy, and supports the school’s digital transformation in managing teacher attendance.

Abstract

The digitalization of information systems has become a key strategy for organizations seeking to improve operational efficiency, decision-making quality, and overall organizational performance. However, the successful implementation of digital technologies depends largely on users’ acceptance and willingness to adopt such systems. This study aims to analyze the impact of information systems digitalization on organizational performance using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The research examines the relationships between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, user acceptance, and organizational performance. A quantitative research approach was employed by collecting data through structured questionnaires distributed to employees who actively use digital information systems within their organizations. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to evaluate the proposed research model and test the hypotheses. The findings indicate that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly influence user acceptance, which subsequently contributes to improved organizational performance. These results highlight the importance of designing user-friendly and beneficial digital information systems to maximize organizational outcomes. The study provides valuable insights for organizations in developing effective digital transformation strategies and enhancing sustainable organizational performance through technology adoption.
