Abstract

The problem of finding the shortest path from a path or graph has been quite widely discussed. There are also many algorithms that are the solution to this problem. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Greedy, A-Star, and Dijkstra algorithms in the process of finding the shortest path. The author wants to compare the effectiveness of the three algorithms in the process of finding the shortest path in a path or graph. From the results of the research conducted, the author can conclude that the Greedy, A-Star, and Dijkstra algorithms can be a solution in determining the shortest path in a path or graph with different results. The Greedy algorithm is fast in finding solutions but tends not to find the optimal solution. While the A-Star algorithm tends to be better than the Greedy algorithm, but the path or graph must have complex data. Meanwhile, Dijkstra's algorithm in this case is better than the other two algorithms because it always gets optimal results.

Abstract

In this paper, the data used is the banana image which is extracted into the dataset into 4 attributes, namely red, green, blue, and the mean for the classification process. Image data is classified using the k-Nearest Neighbor method which will be optimized the model with the k-Fold Cross Validation algorithm. Evaluation of the k-NN model with the k-FCV algorithm can improve accuracy and can build better machine learning models in the image classification process. The default K-NN obtained an accuracy rate of 57%, while the results of the model evaluation with the k-FCV algorithm, on fold 3 obtained an accuracy rate of 68%. The percentage yield with the new model increased by 11% which indicates that the machine learning model that was built was quite optimal

Abstract

Today, the cooperative in Medan has difficulty in determining the work area for employees. The difficulty in determining the work area of ​​employees is because the number of employees does not meet the needs. In addition, the employees' lack of knowledge about the work area will be a problem. This has resulted in obstruction of the performance of employees at the Medan Cooperative. To overcome this problem, a decision support system is needed that can assist in making decisions to determine the employee's work area. Using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is expected to help companies to be able to assess and determine employees who meet the criteria and can work for a long time. The Decision Support System for selecting the work area that is currently being designed is the Decision Support System for Determining Work Areas in Cooperatives in Medan Using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method. Where with this system it can make it easier for companies to place employee work areas based on the area where the employee lives. The system designed can be used for all employees because it is very easy to use, no special computer skills are needed. So that employees can use this system to generate reports about their work area based on residence. Decision support system application designed using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method at the Cooperative in Medan, can determine the work area of ​​employees.

Abstract

Private Universities (PTS) are an option to continue post-graduate education, especially in the city of Medan. Quality private universities are very influential in carrying out education. In order to be easy to compete in the wrong world of work such as accepting new workers and especially in increasing career paths, PTS accreditation is very influential in the world of work as one of the requirements for evaluating job application administration files because a good PTS must have good accreditation. Determining PTS in this Medan city is not easy, because there are many PTS in this Medan city. There are too many private universities in existence, making it difficult to choose PTS manually, and the results of the selection are sometimes inaccurate and become a problem in selecting the best PTS. Decision Support System (DSS) is a system that can assist a person in making accurate and targeted decisions. The method used in this Decision Support System uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). This method was chosen as one of the best alternatives because it is able to find and select which are the best private universities based on the specified criteria.

Abstract

The level of security and confidentiality of information / data becomes very important in the era of increasingly sophisticated and developing technology. Cryptographic methods can be one solution to overcome problems in the level of security and confidentiality of information. However, knowledge about cryptography is still a lot of audiences who do not know and understand its use in securing the secrets of information, for that we need an application which presents a learning media that is expected to help provide knowledge from cryptography. This study implements a learning media application that discusses a Playfair Cipher classic cryptographic method, a cryptographic technique that encrypts bigrams using a matrix table consisting of 25 letters in it, text that can be encrypted in the form of alphabet letters on the system that has been tested. The results of the encryption and decryption of the text do not have spaces or symbols in it, the application of playfair cipher cryptographic learning media is aimed at computer students as a tool to better understand the playfair cipher cryptographic material.

Abstract

In this paper, the K-Nearest Neighbor and XGBoost algorithms will be implemented in lung cancer prediction. This prediction is important because lung cancer is one of the highest causes of death worldwide. Prediction and diagnosis of this cancer can be done with machine learning algorithms such as K-Nearest Neighbor and XGBoost. Based on the results of the analysis and testing of the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm and the XGBoost algorithm, the results show that the two algorithms obtain a very good level of accuracy, as well as obtain a balanced precision, recall, and f1-score. But in this case the XGBoost algorithm tends to be better than the KNN algorithm in recognizing a given data pattern.

Abstract

Sistem yang baik adalah sistem yang dirancang dengan proses analisis mendalam serta terdokumentasi dengan standar yang ditetapkan, serta memperhatikan siklus hidup pengembangan sistem. UML dapat membantu dalam proses pemodelan pengembangan sistem atau perangkat lunak. Dalam penelitian ini, pemodelan dengan UML dilakukan pada sistem penerimaan anggota baru di Programmer Association of Battuta yang bertujuan untuk memudahkan dalam pengembangan aplikasi dikemudian hari. Pemodelan sistem penerimaan anggota baru dimulai dengan tahap pendaftaran, ujian tahap 1, ujian tahap 2, sampai laporan akhir diterima atau tidaknya menjadi anggota baru. Penelitian ini hanya membahas alur penerimaan anggota baru dan tidak membahas alur sistem yang lainnya. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan teknik observasi dan studi literatur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pemodelan sistem dengan UML yang mencakup diagram-diagram tertentu, yaitu use case diagram digunakan untuk memodelkan hubungan/interaksi antara pengguna sistem, activity diagram memperlihatkan alur atau aktivitas sistem, sequence diagram menjelaskan sistem secara lebih detail, dan class diagram menggambarkan hubungan antar class dari sistem yang dirancang. Setiap diagram dalam UML memiliki tugas dan fungsi masing-masing. Pemodelan sistem dengan UML memberikan beberapa keunggulan, baik dari segi perancangan dan pengembangan, ataupun pada tahap pemahaman dan komunikasi antara developer dan client. UML akan memungkinkan developer untuk melakukan analisis yang lebih mendalam dan perancangan yang lebih baik dan maksimal sebelum memulai merancang aplikasi.
