Abstract

The relocation of the capital city of Indonesia from Jakarta to East Kalimantan is a strategic policy that presents various challenges, including complex political conflicts. This conflict involves the rejection by indigenous communities regarding land rights, concerns about environmental impacts, and the lack of public participation in the decision-making process. This research aims to examine the role of communication in managing the political conflicts arising from this policy. Through the application of Conflict Theory by Littlejohn, Constructive Controversy by Peter T. Coleman, and the Theory of Cooperation and Competition by Morton Deutsch, this research analyzes the role of communication in alleviating conflicts, building cooperation, and achieving consensus among stakeholders. This research applies the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to identify studies related to political communication and conflict resolution in the context of public policy during the period 2022–2024. The research findings indicate that public resistance can be attributed to the inadequacy of inclusive narratives and the lack of participatory dialogue. A communication approach that prioritizes collaboration through constructive dialogue and narratives reflecting shared interests has the potential to transform destructive conflicts into more productive negotiation processes. The conclusion drawn from this study is a recommendation for the implementation of clearer communication strategies, involving all parties, and focusing on collaboration to create agreements among stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to identify strategies that can be implemented to improve teacher performance at Namira Islamic School, an Islamic-based educational institution in North Sumatra. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative methods to obtain more comprehensive results. The population consists of 104 teachers, with a sample of 51 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Based on a SWOT analysis, Namira Islamic School's strengths include high teacher competence, an inclusive work culture, and solid management support. Development opportunities can be leveraged through partnerships with other institutions and the use of technology. However, weaknesses such as heavy workloads, unequal salary systems, and a lack of comprehensive performance evaluations pose significant challenges. This study recommends strategies to improve performance through more effective workload management, the development of technology-based programs, strategic partnerships, and infrastructure enhancement.

Abstract

The low activity and cognitive learning outcomes of Grade VIIIB MTs Aisyiyah students require innovation in learning by using cooperative learning models. This study aims to determine the increase in activities and learning outcomes in biology through the application of cooperative learning models of students team achievement division class VIIIB MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa Kab. Gowa. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which consists of two cycles. The subjects of the study were students of class VIIIB MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa Kab. Gowa. The research instrument was an observation sheet and a test. Data analysis techniques with qualitative descriptive statistical analysis for student activities and analyzed with quantitative descriptive statistical analysis for learning outcomes. The results showed that there was an increase in students' cognitive learning activities and outcomes namely from cycle 1 and cycle 2 with an average value of 46.71% and 85.5%. Thus, the conclusion of this research is the use of cooperative learning models of students team achievement division type can increase the activities and learning outcomes of students of class VIIIB MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa Kab. Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the potential value of the ornamental plant sector through a financial evaluation approach, with a focus on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the financial feasibility of ornamental plant projects using key indicators such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), and Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR). This study uses a financial analysis method that utilises projected cash flow and operational cost data over a five-year period. The results show that the ornamental plant project has a positive NPV of IDR 196,798,211, an IRR of 59.4%, and a Payback Period of 1 year, 9 months, and 14 days. This analysis confirms that the ornamental plant project is financially feasible for investment, with a fast return on investment and a cost-benefit ratio that indicates high efficiency. In conclusion, this study makes an important contribution to the development of the ornamental plant sector, particularly in the context of MSMEs, and provides useful practical guidance for investment decision-makers in this industry.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Internal Control Officers (Petugas Tindak Internal/PTI) in the implementation of the code of ethics enforcement within the Civil Service Police Unit (Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja/Satpol PP) of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency during the 2023–2024 period. The research problem arises from the continued occurrence of disciplinary violations among personnel, which have implications for declining organizational performance and public image. The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of PTI’s role while also identifying factors that support and hinder its implementation. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the functions of PTI in supervision, guidance, and enforcement of the code of ethics have been carried out relatively effectively through socialization activities, inspections, and the gradual application of sanctions. Challenges remain in the form of limited human resources and the suboptimal utilization of supervisory technology. The study underscores the importance of strengthening a sustainable and modernized internal supervision system to enhance discipline and professionalism among Satpol PP personnel.members.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine the implementation of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency Regional Regulation Number 15 of 2013 regarding the guidance and supervision of public order control. A qualitative research design was applied, utilizing in-depth interviews with key informants comprising members of the Civil Service Police Unit, officials from the Licensing Office, and managers of night entertainment establishments. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively to explore the implementation mechanisms, existing constraints, and the overall effectiveness of the regulation. The findings reveal that the enforcement of Regional Regulation Number 15 of 2013 has been conducted through regular monitoring activities, field inspections, and coordination among relevant government agencies. Nevertheless, the implementation process encounters several obstacles, including inadequate human resources and supporting facilities, as well as opposition from certain segments of the community and business actors. Despite these challenges, supervisory personnel exhibited a high level of professionalism and dedication in maintaining public order. However, further enhancement of coordination and monitoring systems is required to improve regulatory effectiveness. Based on these findings, the study suggests strengthening personnel capacity, improving inter-agency collaboration, and intensifying public outreach and awareness programs targeting both the community and business operators. Through these measures, the regulation can be implemented more effectively, thereby contributing to improved public order conditions in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency.

Abstract

Perusahaan minyak dan gas merupakan sektor strategis yang memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional, namun menghadapi tantangan dalam menjaga kinerja keuangan akibat fluktuasi harga energi dan tekanan efisiensi operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh struktur modal, Good Corporate Governance, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap kinerja keuangan pada perusahaan subsektor minyak dan gas yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2019–2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode purposive sampling, melibatkan 12 perusahaan sebagai sampel, dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur modal berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan, sedangkan Good Corporate Governance dan ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel independen tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengelolaan struktur modal yang optimal serta penerapan tata kelola perusahaan yang baik berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja keuangan. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan disarankan untuk menyeimbangkan proporsi modal, meningkatkan efisiensi keuangan, dan memperkuat mekanisme pengawasan dalam penerapan Good Corporate Governance guna mencapai kinerja yang berkelanjutan.
