Abstract

Guntung is one of the villages in North Bontang Sub-district, Bontang City, which has diverse tourism resources. However, there are several problems faced by the Guntung communities, especially the Benua Etam Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) and the tourism business communities. These problems include the management and development of standardized homestays and marketing of tourism products based on the Guntung community (Community Based Tourism). This service aims to increase the capacity of Pokdarwis Human Resources and the community of Guntung Village in managing and developing a standardized homestay business and the ability to market tourism village products in Guntung Village.The stages and methods used in this community service training consist of 3 (three) stages; namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage with lecture, discussion, question and answer, field trip and role play methods. Based on the results obtained from community service activities, it shows that Pokdarwis and tourism business actors are able to apply homestay management standards to their businesses and have the ability to do marketing, especially promotion by utilizing Intstagram social media.

Abstract

Salo Palai Village is one of the villages in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. Salo Palai Village has several garden products such as pepper and other processed garden products such as banana chips, fruit syrup and so on. With garden products and processed garden products, this village has the potential to be able to develop the welfare of its community through MSMEs from several of these products. As an MSME business that continues to grow, good packaging and calculating the selling price of MSME products are things that should be considered in attracting and introducing their products to consumers in order to increase the value and number of sales of their products. By conducting lecture methods and direct training to participants, it will have a direct impact on them on how to design good packaging and promotions for MSMEs. Thus, community service activities in the field of design and promotion through financial calculations for product sales are expected to be an effort to provide an understanding of the importance of increasing sales value.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the characteristics of visitor patterns and levels of satisfaction as well as factors that encourage visitors to visit The International Folk and Art (TIFAF) event held in Kutai Kartanegara, Indonesia. The research also seeks to evaluate the overall satisfaction level of attendees and identify key indicators contributing to visitor experience. This research employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The tool used to analyze the research data is IBM SPSS version 22. The study employs frequency analysis to examine the characteristics and perceptions of visitors. Data analysis related to the perceptions of visitors and business actors is conducted using the Level of Respondent Achievement (LRA) method, which includes 16 evaluation indicators. The sampling method used is accidental sampling with 682 respondents. The findings indicate that the majority of TIFAF visitors were male (62%), aged between 17 and 25 years (68%), and predominantly students or university students (60%) with a high school level education (65%) and monthly income below IDR 500,000 (59%). Visitors expressed high levels of satisfaction with the event, reflected by an average perception score of 37.5 and an overall TCR of 85.99%. These results demonstrate a positive reception across all assessed aspects, underscoring the festival’s success in meeting visitor expectations. The findings offer actionable insights for improving future cultural tourism events in the region.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi yang tepat dalam melakukan promosi bagi Desa Batuah Kecamatan Loa Janan Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Dengan demikan diharapkan para pengelola desa dapat melakukan hal yang sesuai untuk memperkenalkan desa ini menjadi daerah tujuan wisata. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode wawancara secara mendalam dan dilakukan analisis deskriptif kualitif. Adapun langkah-langkah analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa potensi yang dimiliki Desa Batuah sangat cocok untuk dikembangkan desa wisata berbasis agrowisata. Strategi yang cocok untuk melakukan promosi adalah menggunakan media sosial.
