Abstract

Water phobia is a kind of resisting factors in doing the aquatic study. Excessivefear is very disturbing for acquiring the skill of swimming. Swimming which ought to beeasy to be learned by man of all ages will mean nothing if the water phobia be still inmind. The problem is how to eliminate the excessive fear of water, so that somebodymay reach his optimal potency in mastering the aquatic skill.Strategy of eliminating the water phobia is an approach for optimizing the aquatic study.This strategy is expected to become an instrument which can assist physical educationteachers, all instructors or practitioners of swimming to overcome the problem of thewater phobia. Its trouble-shooting efforts apply the approach and the environment’sfacilitation which are emotionally, mentally, and physically supporting the course of thestudy. The water phobia can be caused by genetic elements. It can also be caused byeffects of a traumatic experience with water. The water phobia is also happened by theeffect of having cold feet posed by parents or adults. Peculiarly this strategy is addressedfor those who have fear or feel unsafe around or under water, both for children and alsoadults.Implications of this strategy affect the disappearance of excessive fear of water, andthen encourage the self confidence to perform the aquatic activity. Through physicaleducation teachers, swimming instructors, mental health experts, parents, and adults,the problem of those who suffer from the water phobia can be minimized.Keyword: Strategy, The Water Phobia, The Aquatic Activity, Physical Education

Abstract

The aim of this classroom action research is to improve the quality of aquaticlearning for FIK undergraduate student. The samples of research are sixty D-II PGSDphysical education program. The research methods used are descriptive analytictechnique and analytic data process consisting of: (1) describing data, (2) validity ofdata, and (3) interpretation of data. The steps of research process are: (1) preparation,(2) process: planning, acting, observing, reflecting, (3) conclusion. The acting preparationsof the research are three cycles. The result of that audio visual can improve theresearch showed quality of aquatic learning for D-II PGSD physical education program.In the first and second cycle, the qualities of aquatic learning were still low. The thirdcycle, the qualities of aquatic learning were improve by playing compact disk audiovisual of kind of swimming.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop teaching materials for javelin throwing materials for elementary school students who have good validity and reliability that can be used in learning, the method in this study is research and developmet, data collection with design validation, product trials, product validation and questionnaire research results show, The results of the validation percentage of the validators obtained answers that validator 1 generally strongly agreed (78.57%) with the design of teaching materials that had been developed by researchers, validator 2 all agreed (100%) with the content of teaching materials developed by researchers, and validator 3 generally strongly agreed (51.79) with the teaching material media that had been developed by researchers. Based on the three validator answers, it can be explained that the four teaching materials, namely: 1) Throw the tailed ball, 2) Turbo throw, 3) Throwing pipes and 4) Modified javelin throwing that was developed already has the feasibility to be taught

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mengembangkan instrumen tes keterampilan renang usia prasekolah, (2) mengetahui validitas dan mengestimasi reliabilitas instrumen tes keterampilan renang usia prasekolah, (3) menciptakan butir-butir instrumen tes keterampilan renang usia prasekolah yang valid. Metode penelitian menggunakan research and development. Subjek penelitian adalah 50 siswa prasekolah usia 4-6 tahun. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi dan kuesioner. Validitas diketahui dengan validitas isi dan reliabilitas instrumen diestimasi menggunakan formula alpha dari cronbach. Hasil penelitian berupa instrumen tes keterampilan renang usia prasekolah yang valid. Hasil estimasi reliabilitas sebesar 0,0994, yang selanjutnya direvisi hingga memeroleh produk final.Kata kunci: prasekolah, instrument, tes, keterampilan renang

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep karakter moral olahraga serta hubungannya dengan moralitas olahraga dan sportivitas. Dengan menggunakan analisis logis, penelitian ini mengkaji 25 definisi dari lima database elektronik utama: Web of Science, ProQuest, Scopus, EBSCO, dan Google Cendekia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter moral olahraga mencakup kualitas individu seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan empati, yang dibentuk melalui pengalaman di lapangan. Moralitas olahraga bertindak sebagai kerangka norma yang mengatur perilaku etis dalam lingkungan olahraga, sedangkan sportivitas merefleksikan penerapan nilai-nilai tersebut melalui perilaku sportif. Sebanyak 85% literatur menyoroti pentingnya iklim moral dalam tim untuk membangun karakter moral atlet, sementara 70% menyebut peran pelatih sebagai faktor kunci dalam pembentukan moralitas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ketiga konsep tersebut saling melengkapi dalam membentuk perilaku etis di dunia olahraga. Rekomendasi meliputi integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam pelatihan dan pendidikan jasmani, serta pengembangan regulasi yang lebih ketat untuk mendorong perilaku moral di kompetisi olahraga. A Literature Review on the Concept of Moral Character in Sports: Its Relationship with Sports Morality and Sportsmanship Abstract This literature review aims to explore the concept of moral character in sports and its relationship with sports morality and sportsmanship. Using logical analysis, the study examines 25 definitions sourced from five major electronic databases: Web of Science, ProQuest, Scopus, EBSCO, and Google Scholar. The findings indicate that moral character in sports involves individual qualities such as honesty, responsibility, and empathy, shaped through on-field experiences. Sports morality provides a normative framework for ethical behavior, while sportsmanship reflects the application of these values through respectful conduct. About 85% of the literature highlights the importance of a moral climate within teams in fostering athletes' moral character, while 70% emphasizes the crucial role of coaches in moral guidance. The study concludes that these three concepts complement each other in promoting ethical behavior in sports. Recommendations include integrating character education into training and physical education curricula and developing stricter regulations to enforce moral conduct in sports competitions.

Abstract

Nilai karakter kebangsaan memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kepribadian siswa SD. Namun, kajian terkait representasi nilai-nilai tersebut dalam bahan ajar, khususnya buku teks, masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi representasi nilai karakter kebangsaan dalam gambar buku teks Pendidikan Jasmani Sekolah Dasar (PJOK) kelas IV. Metode analisis isi digunakan pada 120 gambar dengan mengacu pada 18 indikator nilai karakter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai mandiri (21%), kerja keras (20%), dan tanggung jawab (17%) mendominasi. Sebaliknya, nilai religius, cinta damai, peduli lingkungan, dan gemar membaca tidak ditemukan. Hasil ini menunjukkan buku teks lebih menonjolkan nilai-nilai yang terkait dengan aktivitas fisik, sementara nilai lain yang penting untuk pengembangan karakter siswa masih kurang terwakili. Disarankan agar buku teks direvisi untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai yang kurang terwakili serta pelatihan bagi guru untuk mendukung implementasi pendidikan karakter. Representation of National Character Values in Elementary School Physical Education Textbook Images Abstract National character values play a crucial role in shaping the personality of elementary school students. However, studies on the representation of these values in teaching materials, particularly textbooks, remain limited. This study aims to evaluate the representation of national character values in images from the Grade IV Physical Education (PJOK) textbook. Content analysis was conducted on 120 images based on 18 character value indicators. The findings reveal that independent (21%), hard work (20%), and responsibility (17%) were the most prominent values. Conversely, religious, peace-loving, environmental care, and love for reading were absent. This suggests that the textbook emphasizes values related to physical activities, while other critical values remain underrepresented. Revisions to the textbook and teacher training are recommended to support comprehensive character education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi nilai-nilai karakter dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan (PJOK) di SMP Negeri 1 Sewon, khususnya pada nilai respect dan responsibility. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan kuesioner berbasis skala Likert sebagai instrumen utama. Sampel terdiri dari 111 siswa kelas VIII yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata respect siswa adalah 70 (SD = 7), dengan 42% siswa berada dalam kategori "sedang", dan 30% berada dalam kategori "rendah" dan "sangat rendah". Pada aspek responsibility, nilai rata-rata adalah 43 (SD = 3,5), dengan 46% siswa dalam kategori "sedang" dan 30% dalam kategori "rendah" dan "sangat rendah". Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi nilai karakter cukup baik, tetapi belum merata di seluruh siswa. Disarankan penerapan model Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) serta program mentoring untuk memperkuat nilai karakter siswa. The Implementation of Character Values in Physical Education, Sports, and Health Learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sewon Abstract This study aims to evaluate the implementation of character values in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sewon, focusing on respect and responsibility. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, using a Likert-scale questionnaire as the main instrument. The sample consisted of 111 eighth-grade students selected through proportional random sampling. The results showed an average respect score of 70 (SD = 7), with 42% in the "moderate" category and 30% in "low" and "very low" categories. For responsibility, the average score was 43 (SD = 3.5), with 46% in the "moderate" category and 30% in "low" and "very low" categories. These findings suggest that character values implementation is adequate but uneven. Recommendations include applying the Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) model and mentoring programs to enhance students' character values.

Abstract

This training aims at giving preview in the arrangement of swimming teaching model based on religious moral values for students of FIK UNY. There  are  two  approaches  for  activities  method.  First  is  theoretical approach which consists of material presentation, discussion, and question answer. Second one is practical approach which consists of mastering the swimming basic technique, class management based on religious moral values, water games, etc. Each of approaches then was evaluated using  swimming teaching program based on religious moral values. The material presentation focuses on: theoretical and practical material about swimming basic skill, swimming rules, basic safety water, and swimming teaching model based on religious moral values. The indication of training successfulness could be seen from the high motivation of participants in following it and also from the new science and skill about swimming learning model based on religious moral values that was gotten. The program of people service was going well and followed by 31 of participants. Based on result discussion that was presented then there are some high light points: (1) There are lots of students voices that hoping a special class in swimming subject which separates male and female students, (2) They also want to use swimsuit that can close over the body, (3) there is a tension from female students who wear veil then she leave out it because of swimming rule about cloth manner in swimming class, (4) time for swimming class is just same with public visitors who also use same facilities of pool so then it could be like a public show for them, (5) It should be a female teacher for female students and a male teacher for males

Abstract

AbstractThe goal of this water safety training is to give basic skill and knowledgeabout water safety for 25 members of lifeguard in Special Province ofJogjakarta.The method that was used for this training were workshop, discussion,simulation, training in water, and evaluation test method. Evaluationwith direct observation consists of attention, willingness, enthusiasm to thematery who was given by society servants team (PPM), and post test for thelast. Then, evaluation in the pool with several activities that were helpingdrawning victims by equipment and no equipment, giving mouth to mouthbreath, cardiopolmunory respiration, bouancy test, diving test, and swimmingrescue. This training followed by 25 Jogjakarta’s lifeguards and theywere 2 from Sleman, 2 from Bantul, 8 from Jogja city, 6 from Gunungkiduland 5 FIK’s students.The result of discusion are (1) there are many swimming pool thatdon’t have rescue equipment like lifejacket, rope, stick, and wheel. (2) thereis less knowledge about rescue swimming technique for the lifeguard inJogjakarta., (3) there are many swimming pool which have no life guard, (4)we have high rate entusiasm of participant, and (5) we also have goodmanagement in swimming pool.Keywords: water accident, water safety, and life guard

Abstract

Bima Regency has not yet established a sports tourism village incorporating local wisdom. So, the study aims to develop village tours as tourist sports based on local wisdom to increase the public economy. Research is a type of research and development that uses the ADDIE development model. The sample for this study was Lambu Tourism Village, which was chosen for its potential scenic attractions. The study subjects consisted of two expert validators in sports tourism, two expert validators in general tourism, and visitors to the tourist site who served as trial respondents. This research instrument used a validation questionnaire given to expert validators and a feedback questionnaire to visitors to tourist attractions. The data analysis methods employed included quantitative descriptive analysis for assessing needs, expert validation of the product based on average scoring, and product feasibility testing measured by the percentage of community acceptance. The results of the validation of material experts from 2 validators, namely sports tourism attraction experts, validate sports tourism attractions, so the result is an average score of 89.5%, which shows that the sports tourism material is very feasible. Furthermore, expert validation is carried out with 2 validators, namely experts in the field of tourism, to validate sports tourism villages so that the validation results with an average score of 80.5% indicate that it is very feasible. So, this research is a novelty of a local wisdom-based sports tourism village that can improve the economy of local communities in Bima Regency.
